I wish I could give them a 0 star. They told us that the towing job would cost around 165 + some overhead when we had called them. THEY CHARGED US 4000!! RIDICULOUS!! They did not negotiate and held our car ransom till we paid them. We have called them multiple times and nobody in their office has been able to explain this insane bill. If your car needs to be towed call Preferred towing or anybody else. DO NOT CALL 24/7!!

If only I could give a lower rating than this... FRAUD ALERT!!!!!!!! STAY AWAY!!!! Please stay away from this towing company. They are THUGS. My friends and I went to Fairbanks during thanksgiving break. And our car got stuck in the snow. We ended up calling 24/7 towing(WORST mistake of our lives). The dispatcher first said it would be $165 + some overhead charge but NEVER communicated the anticipated bill and eventually ended up charging us with a INSANE BILL OF $4000 for a simple tow. The locals there, helping us later mentioned: even $300 would have been too much, let alone the 20 times extra charge. It was insanely RIDICULOUS. They took our rental car as ransom. We made endless calls to them to help us understand the ridiculously itemized bill. They couldn't explain a thing. They kept stalling us and transferring our call and kept saying the BOSS is not available. Unfortunately, we had to pay the money to get the car as it was a rental and we had to fly out the next day. I am stunned, even after reading such bad reviews, they are very much in the business and keep looting people. Somebody really needs to do something.

Where is the parking lot?

I was put in contact with Eagle Towing through my insurance company. I scheduled a pick-up time to…read moretow a vehicle back to my house from where I had left it the night before. Meanwhile, as I was moving a car to make room in my driveway for the drop-off, the car i was moving stalled in the middle of my street and would not re-start, nor could I push it out of the street because the electronic transmission wouldn't allow me to put it into neutral unless the car was running. I had to leave it in the street while I went to meet Daut, the tow truck driver. Daut communicated with me several times leading up to the pick-up to update his status for arrival. I meet him at the pick-up and told him about my situation at home. He said he could probably help me get it into neutral. When we arrived home he was able to maneuver his truck to place the car he towed right where I needed it, despite my other car being in the way. He then he spent a fair amount of time helping to get the other car out of neutral and started, but nothing worked. Daut said he needed to go to another pick-up but would come back if I couldn't get the car started and out of the road while he was gone. While he was gone I failed to get the car started and out of the street. True to his word Daut came back and masterfully got my car, which would not roll, out of the street and into my warm garage! It was an impressive feat to watch. I can't say enough good things about Daut and Eagle Towing!!

I wanted to come write a review because companies like this one-whom usually do work people on the…read morereceiving end are a bit stressed out about. Be it a repossession, or a permit that wasn't properly displayed, it's the nature of the beast...people leaving negative reviews. That being said, I have had my fair share of bad experiences with tow companies, but this one exceeded any expectations. Here's how Anchorage Towing and their driver Dwayne (I hope I spelled that right) turned a rough night into a better one. My boyfriend was on his way home around 9:50pm in formal wear. He was on the highway southbound and hit a pothole. He got a flat shortly after and was on the side of the road moments after. The car didn't come with a spare because the stock performance tires are the kind that you can still drive on when they're flat. Unfortunately the pair that they "threw in to sweeten the deal" when he bought the car are winter tires that weren't that type. He told me around 9:50 that he had a flat, then 10:30 he said no tow company through Verizon's roadside assistance would tow him because the car is too new. (insert eyeball and explicit language here). He asked me to bring his spare from the old car (earlier model of same car) so I took a cab to Glenn highway at boniface and stayed with him. I'd called my roadside too because I have it through USAA and they said if his came before I could just call an cancel. About 20 minutes later both companies let us know the wait would be around 4 hours since only two companies were available through the third party contracting source. They told us if we wanted to find our own tow company it would be reimbursed. I called about 5 "24 hour" tow companies before I finally got one that answered the phone, and could come change the tire in 45. That was Anchorage towing. Dwayne showed up early and tried to change it. Turns out the spare doesn't fit on the new model. Thankfully it was an actual tow truck and not one of those battery vans. He towed the car to the dealer and dropped us off at home down the street. He was pleasant, funny, and knew what he was doing. It was evident in his efforts to make sure he did what was best for the car despite the additional time it took hook it up. Thank you for your help! You guys rock.
