Just a short review and please notice I very seldom write a negative review.... I parked in a parking area. The big problem is there ended up being a large puddle under the snow. Calling around, we were quoted 105 and "it may be more depending on how difficult." The driver came out, asked me how much I was quoted and then told me 190 because it would take 20 plus minutes. I argued and he said the other option is leaving. He hooked up and did a wench removal that took 7 minutes. I asked him how that was 20 plus minutes but of course I was hooked up. Security for the area came by and agreed I was getting taken advantage of. The boss was on the phone and gave all these reasons why it was $85 more so being very rude and angry I told them to take my money, and unhook me because I don't have an option other then get ripped off. Here is the kicker that made me write this review. The driver goes on to tell me that he has a rough life and old boots and I have a good life so that's why I should pay more... really? The problem with Yelp reviews and towing is I didn't use Yelp to find a tow truck... looking at the towing company reviews once I returned to town afterwords, they by far have the lowest rating and As a YES... The guy showed up after 45 mins later, he said he would need to get some other help. They gave the final bill of 4,000$+ for a simple towing. They didn't call to inform us about the bill, wont pickup our calls. Reaching their yard they declined to discuss the bill and justify the amount. Also, asking us to pay 4K before releasing the car. They held the rental car as ransom. We called the Fairbanks police department and registered a formal complain. They didn't even pickup the lieutenant (Fairbanks Police Dept) calls. They just kept dodging our calls. In the end we had to pay to get the rental car as we had to return the car before flying out. Next day, we went up to their main office in Anchorage. This company stole my brothers ticket home for Christmas. They take advantage of people new to Alaska, and are a horrible company. He got stuck in a ditch and this company was driving by and offered to help. My brother said yes, and the driver did not mention a price at all. After being pulled out of the ditch, they then told me brother he need to pay, but was still not told a price. This is illegal. He handed his card over and only after it was declined did the driver tell him that he was getting charged nearly a thousand dollars. We have tried to talk to the owner multiple times to negotiate AT LEAST a partial refund but have gotten nowhere, and NONE of your employees could tell us why he got changed so much. My wife has been hung up on by your workers as we try to negotiate a refund. Your workers refuse to speak to us, and even told her "the owner doesn't want to talk to you." and then they hung up. We've been leaving messages for about a month now with no response. This is the worst behavior I have ever seen, and I cannot believe they can stand by price gouging a 19 year old kid who just wants to get home for Christmas. read more

This company towed my trailer. They punched a hole in the side panel and damaged the front stand. The hole is at the exact hieght of the flat bed trailer. The hole actually matches the thickness of the flat bed trailer. The company will not except responsibility for the damages. After confirming the price over the phone 3 times with the manager, I go down to pay for the trailer. The manager does not give me my change. I had to ask, where is my change. I never even requested any sort of towing service when my truck almost got towed. I just happened to go outside to my truck and saw 24/7 Towing hooking up my Tacoma. I approached the worker and asked him what he was doing. He then said "is this the Tacoma that needs towing?". I told him no and then 24/7 Towing unhooked my truck and took off. Called 24/7 towing for a tow late in the afternoon and they pulled through and had a driver respond in under 1 hr. The driver, Branislav we very helpful and patient with the whole situation. So, I shipped a car in mid Winter with racing tires on my car, and the car is not drivable on any snow or ice. He was able to get the car on the rollback and on the road in the matter of minutes. I can tell you he is safe on his recovery operations and would highly recommend him and the company. I would think that towing/recovery is competitive in Anchorage, and reliability is important. 24/7 towing gave me THE WORST experience I've ever had with a tow company, and it was only a quarter-mile tow! First they scared me by saying the job was complete 30 minutes before they arrived, then they left my car unlocked with the keys in the door handle for anyone to walk by and steal. On top of that they left my car blocking my entire driveway so that I cant pull any other cars in. I asked them to fix the mistake and they refused to provide any kind of customer service!! They made a stressful situation much worse-Here's what happened: I broke down on Friday evening as I was leaving town and my roadside assistance hired 24/7 Towing. I called the tow company to tell them where I left my key and was told the driver will be 45min-1hr and will call me when he is on the way. 1 1/2 hours later I haven't received a call so I checked the status and they had marked the job completed 30 minutes ago, but my car was not at my house! Now I'm stressed because I'm supposed to be out of town already and I don't know where my car is or the key! The driver called me back--I directed him to my house and asked him to leave the key on my porch. I thought that would be the end if it, but NO!! I got home an hour later with my rental car to find that the tow truck driver parked my car at the very end of my driveway. There are two full car lengths in front of it and a spot to the side that are completely blocked off and I cannot park my rental car or any other car in my driveway. I looked for the key where I asked him to leave it, but it wasn't there! More stress! HE LEFT THE KEYS IN THE DOOR HANDLE, WITH THE DOORS UNLOCKED, SITTING AT THE END OF MY DRIVEWAY BLOCKING ALL MY PARKING SPACES!!!! I called the tow company to let them know what happened. I asked them to rectify the situation by coming back to move my car into my driveway so that I can park my rental car. The dispatcher had the nerve to say, "well the car isn't running is it?" As if he was saying I shouldn't need to access my driveway if my car was towed!! All the dispatcher did was defend the drivers poor service and tell me he would call the driver. I called again that night and again during the day shift. Each time I called, I was told that they can't do anything right now, but I would be called back. I was also told they would need my insurance information in order to come back and fix their mistake. NO ONE EVER CALLED BACK. I was stuck in a snow bank, when I accidentally called them instead of Geico because their number popped up on Google instead of Geico's roadside assistance number, because of their ad. I didn't realize it wasn't Geico, and I thought it seemed weird when I called them because Geico usually puts me on hold and they answered right away. I thought maybe I got the wrong number, so I asked "is this Geico?" and the man on the phone said yes. So they lied. Later when they towed me out, they said I had to pay 475$ for getting me out of a snow bank that took 2 minutes. He said if I couldn't pay that he had to impound my car and that my insurance would pay the next day. I asked if there would be an extra cost to impounding my car and he said no. Another lie. The next day, when I called them, they said there would be a 275$ impounding fee. In other words, they lied to me twice and held my car for ransom. read more

I went out to dinner with some friends to come out and find my car had been towed. This company was called for a tow of a 2015 red passat, I own a 2004 silver passat. They towed my car and dropped it off in another parking lot after they realized they towed the wrong car. The only reason I found out where my car was is through my own searching. After I contacted the company about the wrong they had done in illegally towing my car, they blew me off and didn't apologize for the wrong. After many phone calls, I talked with their dispatch guy who laughed at me and told me I was being ridiculous in asking for them to pay for a diagnostic on my car to make sure no damage was done. Two weeks of phone calls and no apology! Horrible company and the worst service ever. Ever heard of checking the license plate? On Monday a neighbor had their truck towed from our Cul de sac Circle. the 24/7 driver managed to (I hope accidentally!) back into my mailbox post, breaking it. I have called this company 3 times this week, and have asked to speak with a supervisor/manager. I have yet to get a return call. The phone operator has assured me the manager has been advised of my trouble, and also told me yesterday that the driver told her that he came by here and "he had fixed it". It was NOT fixed. This company wanted to charge me $750 last night for a simple tow of a surburban vehicle tow out of a small ditch on the hillside in Anchorage. The driver was young, out of money, and after digging a substantial amount of snow we just couldn't drive it out of the ditch across from my home. We called 24/7 who said the call would be $135 (base price), and once on scene the driver would provide quote. Driver did not provide quote. The tow was a simple cable pull from the rear of vehicle, taking a total of 4 minutes. The driver, smiling comes to my home announcing it will be $750!. I refused to pay, and next morning went to the office. Reading the costs of the tow prices on the wall of the office, the amount should have been $235. The owner could not reach the driver, nor explain why I would be charged $750. This company appears to scam persons pulling out numbers out of their butt. The owner then said it would cost $375. So, one might ask, why $750 on the night of tow, then $375 next day, and the estimate of tow ($135, but $4/mile and cost of a pull ($60). Absurd price structure and a rip off company. He was very efficient, and only took 5 minutes to pull my truck out of the ditch. However, not only did he damage the front of my truck by ripping it out of the ditch, but he then demanded $375 for the tow. When I questioned why it was so much, he said that I was lucky because he could have charged me more. I paid cash and asked for a receipt. He clearly did not want to give me a receipt, as i had to ask him for it 3 times, while he dodged the question and changed the subject.
