Ben is very professional and courteous. I had the igniter go out on our heater unit and Ben was quick to respond. Initial appointment was 630pm. Ben called and said he got done early with a prior job and was it ok to come early. He gave me a eta of arrival and sure enough he was there. We have used 24/7 Heating & Cooling for a few different things over the years and every single experience has been delightful. Our most recent one was exceptional! We recently moved to a new home and noticed the AC wasn't working properly on the first hot day of the season. We called and Kelsey came out within a day or so(we were not in a hurry). Kelsey is always on time and so polite. He identified multiple issues and gave us several options as to what we could do, from repairing to replacing. We decided to replace the whole system. Ben and Kelsey put in 2 long days and had our house throw multiple curve balls at them, but they always had a smile on their face. They are both very professional and kept us in the loop as to what was going on. Ben and Kelsey are so tidy and leave the spaces they are in cleaner then they found them. Ben and Brad did an excellent install on our new Daikin heat pump system. They are there for you when you call, show up on time , keep a tight schedule and are thorough communicators. (Unlike many contractors nowadays.) Fair pricing on our bid. We were referred to them by another trusted general contractor we have used prior and it all worked out great! Left the work site clean and didn't tear our home apart during the install. The attention to detail was appreciated .When elements of the install needed to be discussed as to what would look aesthetically best their suggestions and ours were a match. Scheduled an 8am appointment 3 weeks in advance and they did not show up. The response when I called was that it was "incredible" that my appointment wasn't on the schedule. Also incredible to wake up early on my day off to have a no show appointment. If you go here my advice is to follow up to ensure your appointment is scheduled as it seems they can't keep their appointments straight. He came out, as promised, the day of the snow storm right on time. I rarely leave reviews but be warned. I payed a $99 diagnostic fee that took 5 minutes and was charged at that time the $99 and I asked if that would to apply to the warranty repair and told "no". Then he came back put in the free part for another $359 that took less than 30 minutes. I understand people need to make a living but he couldn't have spent more than an 1 1/2 hours including picking up the part. So be WARNED I PAID $300+ an hour! read more

This review is mostly on 24/7 heating and cooling ability for finding a Freon leak. I called them up specifically so they could find a Freon (R22) leak on my unit. He search, but could not find a leak. So he pulled all of the Freon out, ( it would have been nice if he had weighed the Freon he pulled out of the unit, so I could have known the level of Freon in it ) and put nitrogen in the system to aid him in his search. He still could not find a leak. So he charge my unit back up with Freon and left. About six or eight weeks later, my unit ran out of Freon again. So I called 24/7 heating and cooling about my freon leak. In short, they suggested that I get someone else to look for the leak because they had done all they could do. So I called someone else to come find the leak. He found it, and only charge me $75. So I had to pay twice for the leak. About a week later, I pulled the blower motor out of this unit, which took me all of 10 minutes, and there was the evaporator coil, and in the middle of the coil, that was very visible was a big oil stain where the Freon was leaking at. 24/7 heating and cooling technician that came out to my house was very courteous and professional. read more

I got multiple bids on installing AC in my residential home that already had forced air heating. Ben was by far the most professional, knowledgeable and punctual of the group. The fact that he would be doing the work himself and that he offered a competitive price sealed the deal. He did a great job on the install and made sure that I was happy with pretty much every step of the process before proceeding. My experience with Ben, from 24/7 Heating & Cooling, was nothing short of great. He will be our HVAC guy from here on out. Ben called ahead to let us know exactly when he would be arriving and showed up right on time. His professional bearing and attitude impressed my wife and I right away. He was friendly and direct. Our eight year old HVAC unit had been blowing a small 3 amp fuse and it had been driving me up the wall in trying to figure out why. Ben took the time to explain each step he took to diagnose and isolate the problem. Within a short time he had located the problem and replaced a faulty 24 volt contactor in the outside condensing unit. I might add that the house is rental property, and it was very important to get the AC working fast due to the 100 degree heat wave Portland was experiencing. I bought my house in the summer 2 years ago in 2013 and the furnace was old that came with the house. During the fall/winter when it became colder we started using the gas furnace, and noticed it had problems. So to make sure that I wasn't going to get ripped off, I called 3 different repair companies and got estimates from all of them. My furnace would constantly flame out and re-ignite every few seconds, which was annoying but it still worked. Then after a month or so it kept trying to re-ignite but couldn't so I was forced to buy electric heaters until I got the furnace repaired. Ben from 24/7 was one of the 3 companies that came out to give me the estimate to repair it. He showed up on time and was very polite, but said the furnace was so old they didn't make the parts for them anymore. He recommended that I purchase a whole new furnace from him, the lowest price was $3,500 and the highest price was $8,000. I said I would consider it, and waited for the next repairman arriving the next day from NW Sundance Services. The repairman from NW Sundance Services was also on time and polite, but said the replacement igniter control part was a common failure and replaced the igniter for $75! Then after about another month my furnace was not starting at all, so I called NW Sundance Services again and he replaced the gas regulator for another $75. So a grand total of $150 to fix my furnace from NW Sundance Services, quite a bit less than the $3,000 to $8,000 from 24/7 Heating and Cooling! Also, just to come out and evaluate your problem, Ben charges $100 just to look. I called up Ben and asked him to refund me the $100 because he incorrectly diagnosed my system by telling me that the parts were not made for it anymore. But he said that the $100 was non-refundable, which seems wrong to me. My furnace is a Lennox G12RQ3E-82-8 and was manufactured 06/1986, almost 30 years old but they still make the parts for it. Had Ben come out and do an inspection on our 20+ year old gas furnace. We were needing to keep the front panel off the unit in order to keep it running so we new something was wrong.
