I'm sitting now in my very comfortable home thanks to the AC installed a few days ago by 24/7 Heating & Cooling! We had existing duct work, but no central AC -- so it's been on the project list for a few years, but as many people are I'm working from home right now and faced with a warm summer, installing AC moved up the list quickly. We called and spoke with Ashton, and were promptly scheduled for an in-person estimate -- which we found to be thorough and fairly-priced with no crazy upsells. As a bonus, Ben is just a heck of a nice guy and great to chat with, and we felt very comfortable entrusting him with the work. He's knowledgeable and spent time to explain everything so that we felt well-armed to make our decision. Ben and Kelsey came back out and in one (long, full, really hot) day had our AC totally installed and blowing cold. They arranged to have the electricians out at the same time (who also did a great job) and it was clear that they've worked together for a while -- for us, it was totally seamless while they coordinated the work together and got it all done. Everyone we dealt with was professional and friendly. They approached the project with integrity and took care of every detail, then walked us through all of the work when they were done. They stand behind their work with warranties and courtesy rechecks too. They will absolutely be our first call when it's time to replace our furnace, and I'd recommend them to anyone needing heating or AC. I just wanted to share a great experience I had with your company! I came home from work last week and my house was 60 degrees even though the heat was set at 70. I tried to troubleshoot it and was unsuccessful. I contacted 24/7 and a technician got back to me (Ben?) and he informed me that I am 8 miles outside your service area but wanted to ask me some questions to walk me through resetting my furnace to save me a service call. Buyer beware! We had a 24/7 tech come out and tell us our A/C compressor went bad and it would be $3k to fix or $5k to replace. We had another company come out and TEST the capacitor, which was actually the problem. They fixed the issue for a $15 part. 24/7 charged us $99 to lie to us. My AC fan stopped functioning and I contacted 24/7 this morning late last night and they immediately set up an appointment this morning...fast! Brad and Kelsey came out today and diagnosed the problem and replaced the AC capacitor. The charge was: $99 diagnostic fee plus the capacitor cost of $199. The yearly maintenance plan is $192 and includes the maintenance of both the furnace and the AC unit. They will be coming back soon before the cold weather comes to maintain the furnace and in the Spring to check the AC again. They were very professional and were careful to put on shoe coverings each time entering the house, too. I was impressed with their quick, reasonable and efficient service and decided to sign up for their annual maintenance plan! Kudos to 24/7! read more

Our home is hitting over the 20 year mark, so it was time to think about a new furnace and a/c unit. Ben and 24/7 had done maintenance on our equipment in the past, and he was very prompt, professional, knowledgeable, and clearly communicated everything. In addition, his pricing was very fair. When we decided to get our new system, he was our first call. He came out to offer us a free estimate, talked through all the different options, answered all our questions, and we scheduled the installation. He took care of everything (permits, hauled away the old unit, etc.) and left our garage sparkling clean. We hit the timing just right, because now the warmer weather has arrived this week, and our home is super comfortable, with a more energy efficient unit to boot. My furnace would work on and off again. We were not sure what the problem was so we had 24/7 come out an take a look. The staff that came out seemed very professional. They did a diagnosis and stated it was a wiring problem, which would cost about a couple hundred dollars to fix. That seemed very reasonable and I told them to go ahead with the repair. After finishing the repair, they mentioned it was a control board issue and not necessarily a wiring problem. To fix this would cost several hundred more dollars. The technician stated rather than fixing it, I should consider buying a new furnace. I was open to buying a new furnace because our furnace was 20 years old. The technician then indicated he would send a new estimate via email. I waited several days with no response. I called the shop on several occasions and they stated they would send it over, but it never came. While they seemed nice I left quite unsatisfied with service provided and went to the authorized Costco dealer instead. read more

I was incredibly impressed with this company and I would recommend them 100% without reservations. I am always concerned when contracting out work that the quoted price for the job will end up being more in some kind of attempt at up-selling. I expressed this concern to Ben (the owner) and he said that the only reason the price would change is if we wanted to upgrade something mid-install, and that if anything came up that he missed in his inspection, then it wouldn't affect the price. Well, it turns out that our "AC ready" home had damaged pipes inside the wall and they needed to run brand new pipes along the outside and encase them. True to Ben's word he said that it wouldn't be an additional cost to us and they promptly came the next day and finished the job. Very impressed with this company. Found these folks on Groupon, and displayed excellent reviews-so we purchased an inspection/tune-up for our furnace. The gentleman who coordinates the appointments was professional, courteous, & helpful answering my questions. The week prior to our scheduled appointment, our furnace stopped working. This was during the first time this year the temp dripped below 28f, & all four of us could see our breath in the house. A friend recommended Damon at ABC HVAC, who was able to get his friend John from MT HoodHVAC-R to come replace the necessary (inoperable) parts. Having a fully operable furnace (with two primary parts replaced), servicing from 24/7 wasn't necessary-and I replaced that Groupon. Groupon didn't notify 24/7 of this action, so the two professionals arrived promptly at the originally scheduled time for the inspection/tune-up-but needed to be turned away. They did a really clean professional installation, they offered solutions to all the minor problems and resolved them all. Bradley arrived exactly on time and though he had never seen an AC issue like mine in his 10 years in the business, he fixed it and was out the door for the price of the diagnostics. So the family and I were out of town for a day and a half and came home and walked into our really cold ice box of a house. Wait...what? What the hell you do with the thermostat? It's freezing in here. The wife said "Nothing" We looked at the thermostat and the house was 60 degrees inside. That's not very warm to keep a 10 month old baby warm, especially when she's under the weather. I did what any person would do. Go the furnace and stare at it, hoping that it suddenly will kick back on. I stood there in my garage looking for any signs of life. The furnace kicked on but there was no fire coming from the natural gas. I asked the wife to check if we paid the bill. She looked; yeah...it's on auto pay. Ok...struck that theory off the list. Than I went to the circuit breaker, turned it off and waited about 2 minutes. Turned the sucker back on and boom...nothing changed. So I turned to the trusty Yelp app and searched heating and cooling. It gave me a list of business. My wife saw 24/7 Heating and Cooling and decided to call. No answer, she left a message. About 30 minutes later Ben called and asked what was going on. We explained the situation and she had me go back to the breaker and turn off the furnace again. I'm thinking, ok the guy is on the phone it's going to work. That's just how it is. You drive your car, some warning light comes on and you take it to the garage and they find nothing wrong, and you look like an idiot. Well, unfortunately that didn't happen. I had a dead furnace. Ben said that he would hop on over from Tualatin. Since it was 9 PM at night I was looking to pay $149 due to the over time rate. But my little girl needs the heat, so I'm not going to complain. Ben came by and went straight to work. He did some tests and found out the temperature sensor that turns the furnace on and off was malfunctioning. I was glad that I didn't need to buy an entire new furnace. He bypassed the system but he said that it would only work for a few days before the bypass broke down. Ben informed us that we needed a new part but that he didn't have the part at all in his truck. He checked the house and said that he noticed some of the vents in the house were closed. He said that when it's closed it forces the heat to come back into the furnace thus causing the temperature to creep up and wreaking havoc on the system. The next day Ben came back with the part and installed it and also did check the furnace for any other issues as well as the house. Since it was day light he checked our AC unit outside and told us that we have a heat pump. He explained to me how the heat pump works. I think I got it, but he said overall the system seems to be working fine. He did look at the air filter upstairs as it was making a loud sucking sound. I explained to him that it's one of those air filters that you can clean with water. He said those were not very good and since the previous owners of the house spray painted over the area that it wasn't working anyways. He recommended I go to Home Depot and get a better filter. Overall I was satisfied with his service. I thought the price I paid $199 for the part and coupled with the $149 OT I had to pay; I thought it was money well spent. We was straight to the point and also was honest about the longevity of the current furnace we had and recommended steps we do to make sure we squeeze every penny out of it. I'm glad that he took the time to drive all the way from Tualatin to Clackamas County to fix our heater. That's quite a drive and that was way beyond expectation. He could have easily said it wasn't his area to be at, but he didn't, went into his truck and came to the house. Mucho Kudos for that. I recommend Ben at 24/7 Heating and Cooling. read more

First world problems certainly catch up with us pretty quick these days. The central air conditioning went out on me over a hot August week. I got onto yelp and looked at the highest rated HVAC companies around my area. There seems to be a common theme with 24/7. All the reviews seem very positive and this one is no different. I contacted Ben through the yelp app. He was very responsive, always within one hour. We set up an appointment. He was there on time ready to work. We got to the third level of my condominium and we open the attic door. All he had to do was to hear the unit attempt to start. He diagnosed the problem without even seeing the unit. He informed me of the part that needed to be replaced, finished his work in a timely manner, and took some time to discuss the future and life expectancy of the central AC unit. I have hired 24/7 Heating & Cooling twice. First time was last fall when they came out and did a furnace tune-up. Great experience with that tech. This week I had them come out and do a AC tune up in preparation for summer. My AC is over 8 years old and had never had anything done to other than be beat up by weed whackers, lawn mowers, and have a massive tree dump all its leaves on it. Needless to say, the AC unit was filthy! The tech (Ben), took the system apart, tested it out, and then cleaned the eight years of dust, dirt, and gunk off of it. Its running like a brand new unit now. A big wake up call for me, it looked OK on the outside, but it was a mess inside. Both of my experiences with 24/7 were great. The techs know what they are talking about and they seem to genuinely want to help their customers out as best they can. I will use this company exclusively anytime I need repairs for my heating & cooling needs. My story? I woke up this morning (Saturday) and realized our water heater was not working. We are new to the Sherwood area so I searched YELP for a respectable repair company with great reviews. I use YELP religiously because I ALWAYS have great experiences. I called and left a message at 8am and received a return call from Ben within the hour. I explained my situation, but he informed me that they don't do water heater repairs. However, he did give me a contact name and number of someone he uses. Before we concluded our call, he gave me some things to try. I went out to the water heater and did the things he recommended and it worked. The water heater is up and running. This is what makes a great company. I do a lot of research before I select a company, meaning 12-15 bids, lots of questions, an apples to apples comparison. Ben came in dramatically under other bids. Our system was a bit challenging and took longer than expected, but everything was always communicated with us. I got a phone call when he was going to be 3 minutes late. Our system is up and running and we were extremely happy with Ben (owner) and his team! He does carry American Standard (and possibly some Rheem), so know what carrier you want when looking for an new furnace, ac or heat pump. Will definitely use Ben for annual service and highly recommend him for installs. read more

We are new to the area and needed to have the heat pump serviced. I called 24/7 because of the excellent reviews on Yelp and they did not disappoint. Ben arrived on time and was very nice and professional. He went straight to work with the service. I was dreading the news that we were going to need a new unit but he surprised me and said that the unit was in good working order and could last 5-10 more years! He did recommend that we replace one part, which we did. He also took the time to explain the equipment, how it works and what we should do to maintain and ensure it would have a longer life. I also asked about the maintenance plan which seems like a great idea. I am very grateful that he was honest and did not try to sell us on a new unit when we did not need one. Live near the Raleigh Park neighborhood and purchased the One furnace tune-up and inspection Groupon and could not be more impressed with everything. Scheduling was easy. Was given a reminder call, which was appreciated. Was called to let me know they were on their way and would be at my house shortly. Was on time. Ben did a great job communicating to me everything that he was checking for with my old furnace and made recommendations for certain repairs or what a replacement would look like.
