The meat fell off the bone of her lamb shank and my chicken stew was beyond delectable. At the time of this review (March 2025), the restaurant had only been in operation for about 4-5 months. So, the minimal decorations and decor are probably because the restaurant is so new. I'm sure the owners will make the place look a little nicer once they are able sustain and stay in business. Because the food was so tasty, I didn't remove one star for lack of good decor. We enjoyed our meals so much that we plan to return when we are in the area.

While tasty, this is smallest oxtail and rice I've ever had for the price. The jollof was ok, definitely not worth $10 especially with the burnt crispy plantain. There was another vendor with jollof rice at Taste of Cincinnati with much bigger portions for much less but they didn't have oxtail which is why I tried this truck.

It was amazing -- the beef was tender, and the peanut "sauce" was more like a paste, coating every part of the beef well. And the flavor with a complex, delicious kick that I can't quite describe -- I tasted peanut, but also a complex combination of spices that were delicious. Add to this a colorful, beautifully-designed, easily-recognizable truck, and friendly servers. I've now checked out their website, and will be looking for them at their next appearance. Maybe next time I'll try the Jollof Rice and plantains.

They also helped with how to eat Fufu and the proper way in doing so. The staff was very friendly and honestly made the experience really good as it can sometimes be scary going to a new cuisine for the first time and not knowing what to expect!
