Before I start the review I have a fun fact to share. Before I visited Pateidolia Brewing in Vero…read moreBeach Florida, I looked at some pictures and read some reviews. I don't usually read the reviews for breweries because I want to give an honest review based on my experience. But what drew me in is all the pictures of the draft board seemed out of focus and weirdly lit. I chalked that up to maybe not cleaning off the camera lense before taking the pictures, but what I found was quite the opposite. When I took my picure I also couldn't get a good shot. A little blurry and maybe slightly out if focus. And what I found is the place is fairly dark inside until your eyes get acclaimatted. And the way they have the menu board lit, there is a glare which makes all the photos of the beer menu board come out weird. I took multiple photos and finally settle on the best one, but it also wasn't great. So onto the review. It is small inside and has outiside seating. But what they lack in size, they make up in personality. Pareidolia is a little brewery with a big personality to match the name. Got to connect with the beertenders on duty Les and Kelly. Sorry guys if I misspelled your names, but you guys were awesome. I kept calling them Mel and Stacy, no reason why, but I did finally learn their names about the same time as I really started loving their wonderful beer. And another fun fact is their brewer is a lady. I am very partial to women who brew beer, because I feel like they do something a little extra that men don't. But that is a feeling or my own personal bias. So there is that. They have food here, but the food seemed more like an afterthought or a remnant of Covid where you had to have food at your brewery just to survive. We tried the Hawaiian flat bread. It was closer to frozen pizza with some extra toppings. But didn't come here to eat, and the beer was so great it over ruled any issues I might have had with the food. We tried a couple of the beers which were good. The different shaped glasses threw us off a bit as they were both IPAs and apparently one was smaller than the other. We ordered a hamburger and tots. We shared it and it was very good. We especially liked the minced onions. Only criticism is the prices of the beers as one was a couple dollars more and we didn't find out until the bill.

Worth growing a beard for…read more Bearded Brothers Taphouse & Eatery has officially earned a spot on our "we'll definitely be back" list. Our group of four started with what they do best: craft beer. With around 20 beers on tap, there was no shortage of choices, and they even offer complimentary tastes if you're on the fence. The Summer Shandy was crisp and refreshing, while the Toasted Lager was smooth, flavorful, and dangerously easy to drink. We sampled more than a few (ahem)... purely in the interest of scientific research, of course. Fortunately, there are still plenty left to try, so another visit is clearly required. The food was every bit as impressive. The Brussels sprouts with balsamic glaze and shaved Parmesan were outstanding. Even people who normally pass on Brussels sprouts would have a hard time leaving these alone. Personally, I like them a little crispier, but these were great. The Black & Bleu double smashburger was absolutely dynamite. Two perfectly seared patties, plenty of blue cheese, crispy bacon, and cooked exactly the way a great smashburger should be. My own bearded brother ordered the shrimp po' boy, and it was packed with large, perfectly cooked shrimp. We grew up on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, just a stone's throw from New Orleans, where shrimp po' boys are practically a religion. This one passes the test. The bread was right, the shrimp were plentiful, and every bite reminded us of home. The flounder fish and chips deserves its own mention. The fish was flaky and moist, and the breading actually stayed attached to the fish instead of sliding off with the first bite, which anyone who appreciates good fried seafood knows is the mark of a properly prepared fillet. Crispy, flavorful, and cooked just right. Great beer selection. Excellent food. Friendly service. Relaxed atmosphere. If you're anywhere near Fort Pierce and enjoy quality craft beer paired with food that easily exceeds typical pub fare, Bearded Brothers should be on your list. We'll be back... partly to work our way through the remaining taps, and partly because we're still thinking about that shrimp po' boy. Highly recommended.

The…read morelocation is great, the atmosphere is relaxed, it's dog-friendly, and the covered outdoor seating makes for a pleasant place to sit back with a cold drink and watch the world go by. Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to the reputation. We started with chips and salsa, and the chips tasted exactly like Tostitos straight out of a bag. The salsa wasn't bad, but it felt more store-bought than house-made. The smash burger was cooked fine and came with a generous portion of chips, but it wasn't particularly memorable. Nothing about it stood out from what you could get at countless other casual spots around town. If you're looking for a laid-back place to enjoy the waterfront atmosphere, Little Jim's delivers. If you're coming strictly for the food, you may leave wondering what all the hype is about. I'd come back for the setting and a drink, but I'd be hoping for a stronger showing from the kitchen next time.

Both the presentation and flavors, freshness was spot on. Even the crackers were fresh! Prepared locally from fresh tuna (fish varies) served with freshly sliced green celery and carrots sticks. The fish dip has a little fresh jalapeño and onion mixed in for just that little zing without overpowering the fish. And, it wasn't loaded up with mayonnaise, just enough to hold it together. Really delicious. Next we ordered the tuna sandwich. The tuna had been freshly cooked then blended with again, small amount of mayonnaise just to hold it together. It was full of tuna chunks and served with lettuce, tomato and a fresh onion slice. We ordered it on wheat bread that had little wheat berries, many levels above your standard wheat bread. Next I had a decaf chocolate latte with whipped cream. I have traveled a bit in my former industry and sampled coffees, cappuccinos and lattes in many places, plus had a very good espresso machine at home. I know good coffee and this was fresh roasted tasting. Very rare for a decaf. I also had a cranberry mimosa. It was a split served with cranberry juice on the side so I could adjust the amount of juice to prosecco. Nicely done. Overall, another great experience.
