I tried going to Ball Park Liquors for the first time instead of Publix, and boy, was that a mistake! The nasty, abrasive cashier yelled at me that I couldn't enter without a "mask" even after I informed him that I'm disabled (and there's *NO mask mandate* in this county/town, anyway) and I can't wear one. He yelled at me that I'd have to "wait outside" in the cold, dark back-alley that constituted the dead-end strip mall this place was located in if I wanted to buy something from them-- great way to treat a disabled customer! Just yell at them to wait outside like a dog in the cold and dark. The place was filthy inside, so I can't imagine what germs he thinks I'd bring in, rather than bring back outside with me if I'd stayed inside that cesspool much longer. So instead of being humiliated and discriminated against AND paying more for the favor, I decided I'd go to back to Publix. I'd rather shop at any other store in the entire county, because Ball Park Liquors is the only one that discriminates against the disabled. I'm not the only one, either. Apparently many customers, including ones I spoke to coming out of Publix liquors, have stopped patronizing that gross little place for the same reason. I don't blame them-- why pay more so you can patronize a filthy storefront with bad service?
