I am writing this review after a long time of hesitation, and I truly regret that I didn't pay attention to the warning signs earlier. When I came to this salon recently, I witnessed rough and careless treatment of a dog that was brought in just before my arrival. That moment made everything finally make sense to me. I had been going to this salon for about two years, and during all this time my dog clearly showed fear. She does not want to enter the salon, refuses to get out of the car, pulls away from my hands, and on several occasions she even urinated from fear. Unfortunately, I didn't take this seriously at first. What makes this even more disturbing is that my dog is very calm by nature and actually enjoys grooming. In other grooming salons, the staff always said very kind things about her, and she was never afraid. She behaves perfectly during grooming elsewhere -- no stress, no fear. In addition, the quality of grooming here is very poor. Every visit feels like a gamble. One time the haircut looks acceptable, the next time it looks terrible. I will attach photos to show the results. They also wash her badly -- her stomach is often still dirty after the appointment. After seeing how animals are treated there, I now fully understand why my dog was so scared. I do not recommend this place and will never return. I am truly sorry that I didn't notice this earlier and continued bringing my dog here for so long.

After trying out a few different groomers around LA, we found this place after some extensive internet search and we're so happy to have found this place! We've been coming here for about a year now and they always do such a great job on our mini poodle mix. Her paws are always nicely trimmed and they do the best teddy bear face & ears. Her hair always grows out so nicely and they send her home with a cute necklace too. We get a lot of compliments from other doodle parents and when they ask where we go, we always recommend 21 Pooch!

I've been with 21 Pooch even before they had this location, and they never miss! Leaving your baby is always stressful, but I always know they will take great care of her. They are thoughtful the entire way through, even texting you updates during the appointment. Bun Bun has tried different looks!!!

Been here twice. They took on our 6 month old Aussie pup and gave her the cutest haircut. Hairstyle regardless, we were impressed that they could handle the rambunctious little one. Everyone was also very sweet with her making it very east to drop her off

I brought my two small toy poodles here to be groomed for their Christmas photos, but I have to be completely honest I'm disappointed. I paid extra for the specialized Asian fusion cut, which is known for being precise, round, and neat. I had intentionally grown out my dogs' fur to ensure they were ready for this style, but unfortunately, the results were far from what I expected. Their website photos of this particular style look great which made me book with them. The cuts were uneven and lacked the polished look I was hoping for. I even had to use my own scissors to tidy up their heads and faces. To make matters worse, one of my dogs came back with red marks all over his belly and joints. I'm not sure if these are razor burns or something else, but he has been extremely irritated and keeps trying to lick the affected areas. Before COVID, I consistently received much better results from other groomers for Asian fusion cuts. Since the pandemic, I've been grooming my dogs myself, but I decided to give this salon a chance based on their advertisement of Asian fusion styles. Sadly, the experience didn't meet my expectations. That said, I want to give credit where it's due. The groomers did a good job with ear plucking and nail trimming for both of my dogs. While I appreciate these aspects, my overall experience was disappointing. I wanted to share an honest and balanced review. ***Update to owners response: **** Valeria, you sent me one of my dog's reports and photos, not both just minutes after I posted my review. How convenient. I have my dogs here in person and can clearly see that the grooming work done on him is very uneven, exactly as other reviews have mentioned. If I had been happy with the service, I would have left a 5-star review as I frequently do for other businesses. However, your response was both dismissive and defensive. Never before have any of my dogs returned from grooming with red raised marks all over. I did as you suggested on google ... it looks like razor burn actually! I will sent my vet photos for his confirmation. This is entirely unacceptable. My senior dog, who has congestive heart failure (as I noted when booking the appointment with your company), now has this all over his body and i have to manage treating it now. This additional stress is harmful and absolutely unacceptable. I was fair in my initial review, but I honestly should have given you a one-star rating. Additionally, you requested that I attach the photos so others can judge, but the only judgment that matters here is mine as the paying customer. This is my true and honest review of the service you provided. I wish you the very in your business and hope that the service your company provides only improves. ****second response to owners ridiculousness***** Valeria, STOP! Take responsibility for your company's poor services, the harm caused to my dog's skin (which is visibly irritated all over his belly and back legs), and the uneven haircuts on two of my dogs. Love 21 Pooch! I accidentally booked the wrong day, but they were incredibly accommodating and shuffled things around to help me out. I had been traveling, and my poor girl (a Maltese-Poodle mix) came in with mats and fleas. They took the time to personally guide me through what needed to be done, and even though she had to be shaved down pretty short, they still managed to make her look absolutely adorable. I have NO idea why I keep trying to make fetch happen at this groomers. However, this WILL be my last time here. I've had SOOOOOO many different instances with these people but I always allowed them to come back and offer 50% or complementary things to drag me right back into going to them but it just comes to a point. Even I'm tired of complaining every single visit. Their website/ pricing is confusing on purpose so they can over charge you. On the website for coloring it says " one color= $50 " I get there and they're charging me $90 saying " oh no we have to charge you for each additional thing" when the $50 on the website was literally all I booked lol. I'm just so over them! I didn't want a discount or anything. Just let me pay so I can get the fűčk on and never see yall ever again. I'm so mad I blocked them because I don't even wanna hear it after you see this review lol. Just bye ! they are literally 0/10. If you are thinking about using them .. JUST DONT ! And not to mention they cut my dog as well which left me with a large vet bill. According to them it's her allergies or maybe she's sensitive to clippers when she's been groomed all her life and never had this problem. read more

After reading there reviews I decided to come to this groomer. Wow, Wow, Wow, they left my dog so precious and I cannot get over his look. Thank you so much for going above and beyond. Our past groomer left his nails so sharp after his cut but with this groomer he is left so soft. Thank you again, Will be coming back! read more

I cannot say enough amazing things about my experience with this groomer. I brought in my 5-pound teacup Pomeranian -- who, let's be honest, is basically my child -- and they exceeded every single expectation. From the moment we walked in, I felt completely at ease. The staff was warm, gentle and so incredibly attentive -- you could immediately tell they are true professionals who genuinely care about each animal that walks through their door. My little Pom has a very specific coat that can easily get matted or uneven if not handled with care but when I picked him up, I was stunned. He looked like a literal show dog -- soft, fluffy, perfectly trimmed and smelling absolutely divine. Not a single hair out of place. They even took the time to gently shape his face and feet with precision and love, making him look like a tiny cotton candy cloud! What really stood out to me was how calm and happy she was afterward. He's tiny and sensitive, so I always worry about how he'll handle grooming but he came out relaxed, tail wagging and clearly adored. That tells me everything I need to know. They also kept me updated with how he was doing and the entire process felt boutique-level from start to finish. If you are picky (like me) about who you trust with your fur baby, this is the groomer you've been praying for. I won't take him anywhere else now. Five stars isn't enough -- they deserve ten. Thank you for treating my sweet boy like royalty. We'll be back -- regularly! read more

I used to love coming here. Valeria is great and I was so excited that I had found her. I have 4 Yorkies and I have to bring them from Irvine (Orange County) and then take them back. It's an exhausting process and I have to drive 1.5 hours each way to get to the salon. I made appointment like I usually do with Valeria via text and she confirmed me for appointment for 11 am for 4 dogs. I drive 1.5 hours, one of the dogs gets car sick and vomits all over me, but I'm like it's ok it will be amazing hair cuts it's worth the trouble. I get to the salon and I ask to see Valeria and they said that she is not here today and she won't be doing the cuts. I was so mad that this was not told to me as I wouldn't come all this time to get cut by someone else that Valeria trained. They convinced me it will be great don't worry so I said okay. NOT OKAY: they did such a horrible job, they forgot to cut the nails of one, all 4 dogs looks so uneven and all the hair was cut wrong. I asked for a round teddy bear face and they look like rats. The body hair is so uneven and everything just terrible. I am so disappointed and extremely mad and frustrated that this happened after I had made my appointment and they knew I only want to have Valeria cut my dogs hair. Valeria then offers nothing and says if you want me to cut their hair I will give you a different price as if the $80 per dog under 9 pounds is not enough for a haircut she then now wants to charge extra for doing the job. It's totally infuriating. My dogs look so bad their hair is all uneven and now I have to wait 2-3 months to get their haircut fixed. Terrible terrible customer service. You just lost 4 dogs. They just opened another salon In DTLA so she is focusing on that instead of keeping the current customers happy. Go elsewhere they clearly don't even care. RESPONDING TO THE REPLY TO MY REVIEW: I've now attached pictures of the 4 dogs, tell me what photo verification quality control you use because these photos are a week later of the grooming and they look absolutely terrible. What excuses do you have for not cutting the nails of the one of the dogs? You forgot?!? read more

Best grooming in Los Angeles! They clearly love their job and the dogs that come in. They've got a great attitude, affordable prices, but most importantly--they deliver! My dog Rupert is excited to go, they give him a bath, handsome cut, trim & file his nails. At pickup, his hair is soft and his smile is wide! They're also much faster than other groomers I've gone to. Some places take 5 hours. They tend to take 2-3 hours. Can't recommend enough! read more
