It is your typical convenience store with beer iced down in trays and the usual refrigerated beverages. However they do sell bags of ice as well as propane tank refills along with numerous smoke and Vape items. One thing that caught my eye that was unusual were the two slot machines. They also looked like some relics from the 80s. There was a good selection of wine at typical convenience store prices.

So when I heard H-E-B was opening in Manor? ELATED doesn't even begin to cover it. And let me tell you--it did not disappoint. This store is HUGE. Like, take your time and wander a bit because there are so many options kind of huge. The variety alone had me stopping mid-aisle more than once... and the frozen pizza section?? WOWZERS. I didn't even know there were that many choices in existence. But what really makes it feel like my HEB is the people. Everyone is so friendly in that genuine, "hey neighbor, how you doing?" kind of way. And yes, HEB is known for that--but it just hits a little different out here. Is there a BBQ spot inside like some of the bigger locations? No. Do I care? Also no. I would much rather make the easy drive to Manor, shop in peace, and actually enjoy my grocery run than deal with the chaos of heading deeper into Austin. This store has officially earned its place in my regular rotation, and I'm genuinely excited about something as simple as grocery shopping again--which says a lot. Manor, you did GOOD with this one.

So buckle up this review will be biased. I found myself in Manor this weekend and decided to stop by their shiny new HEB to see what they had to offer. I was hoping to find the HEB Brand Store mystery keychains. No luck there, but I did see last years sold out HEB Shopping cart ornament. (photo evidence attached) The store sits right off Highway 290 in a new and growing shopping center. There is plenty of parking and several electric carts available for anyone who needs mobility support. Since the store is new, everything is clean, organized, and fully stocked. The employees were warm and quick to help, especially if you are wandering around lost like me. My only real critique is that the HEB app is not quite up to date yet. That might be because the store is new or because some of the frequently purchased items have been moved to end caps instead of the aisles for the holidays. All in all, it was a pleasant shopping trip. I live too far away to make this my regular store, but it was a treat to stop by while I was in the area.

I found a convenience store with everything that entails and, as the name "Beer Geek" suggests, an amazing array of beer from all over the world. They sell them by the 4-6-12 packs and also singles that are priced from $2.99. AND they have 6-8 taps where one can grab a beer and sit at the counter inside or on the picnic tables outside. If you like dark beers... I highly recommend the Saint Arnold's Pumpkinator or Founders Breakfast Stout... both delicious. They've also got Modelo and a few IPAs. They've got a chalkboard with the current draft list. The drafts are just $4-7. Theres a great burger joint inside the store (Wholly Cow) and a small tots is a perfect thing to enjoy with a draft... There's also one or two food trucks outside as well... so you can order dinner and enjoy a beverage while waiting to take food home or grab dinner and eat it there. The staff is really friendly as well. Highly recommend.

I have a habit of going immediately to the beer section to see what they carry and I went straight to the back. There was a very nice selection of crafted brews, 3 glass cases full, and 4 cases of the big batch stuff.. pretty nice selection for a small country store. But then I turned the corner... there was another 4 glass cases full of more craft brews here too... and a rack of big boys too!! I was stunned!! Then I really started looking... there must have been 150+ different brews here! As I spun around I noticed a wine selection that would rival most grocery stores as well! Not just reds with a couple of whites either... a full selection of whites as well. Ok now I was Impressed. Forget the fried chicken stand or the cowboy hats and belts... forget writing about the funny candy deal I found... this location just got put on my map! I took a bit and selected a very good, harder to find, stout and walked up to check out... the owner was standing there and commented on my great selection... then he said "I know that one is harder to find, but if there are other types we don't have, that you would like, let me know and I'll get them too!" I'm serious as a heart attack... no freaking joke! Great guy, great selection, I'm going to be a regular here for sure!
