But I lean towards 3 automatically because I prefer to see business do good. I ended up getting the tooth fairy on a whole sub. My friend had the chicken salad sub. POSITIVES: Bread was good & fresh just like the cold cuts & Cole slaw. They definitely take care of their product. Presentation from how the sandwich was put together, & the Turkey portion was THE BEST. Not too much where it only tasted like Turkey & pastrami, but just the right amount to make it a hefty sandwich where all the ingredients complimented each other. Wrapping & bagging is worthy of mention, great job. NEGATIVES: It was mostly Turkey with a tiny amount of pastrami, like one slice, MAYBE two. The Turkey did not taste like it was a good brand. It didn't have a bad taste, it just wasn't great quality. It would have been a better experience if the Cole slaw wasn't drowned in thousand islands dressing. Since the pastrami was so little it really doesn't make sense to put that dressing on it. Some bites the meat & cheese were nice & warm & other bites it was pretty cold, that inconsistency threw me off. As for the chicken salad sub, my friend had better & also gave it a 3. CUSTOMER SERVICE: The young lady did great in putting things together. Seemed to be a great employee as far as performance, she may need a little improvement with friendliness. Can't say she was rude but a bit stand offish. Friendliness goes a long way. Overall, when you compare the price for quality, I honestly wouldn't come back here again. This place is NOWHERE near a 4 1/2 in my opinion, but I hope they do well.

I had another few items from this spot once again…read more This time I had the Miss Malley sandwich. It was made up of turkey, bacon, melted Swiss, pepperoni, tomatoes, onion, and Shedd's sauce. This was okay. It was not as filled as previous sandwiches I had from here. I would have liked to see a little more pepperoni present. It was definitely an interesting combination, but it failed to meet expectations for me. The Shedd's sauce seemed to be similar to Russian dressing. The bread was great like usual. I also had two of their homemade cookies, oatmeal chocolate chunk and M&M chocolate chip. Again, these were alright. The oatmeal needed more chocolate present. The M&M one was too soft as it broke fairly easily. It did not seem like this particular one was cooked all the way. The taste was there, but just not executed to perfection.

The line at the door was bananas. But after a 45-minute drive, I wasn't turning around. Pre-surgery gluttonous me was getting this sandwich. I stood in line for another 45 minutes -- plenty of time to decide on the signature cheesesteak. When I got to the register, they gave me the heads-up: $45 for the cheesesteak. At that point the only thing that could ruin it was if it wasn't good. I also grabbed a few extras -- the prosciutto balls (if you know, you know) and some Italian vanilla wafer cookies that are outstanding. Decision time: eat it in the parking lot, or drive 45 minutes home first? I chose to wait. The smell in the car the whole ride back was borderline sinful. Got home, washed up, unwrapped it -- and this thing was enormous, clearly not just chopped-up steak thrown on bread. First bite in, I knew I wasn't in Kansas anymore. It'll probably take me a few weeks to finish (it's that big), but I'm already planning my return trip. Bonus points: while we waited, they kept coming out with fresh hot cheese tortellini and handing out free samples to everyone in line. When I paid, they threw in a whole separate container of it too. For context -- I'm a Philly guy. I'll drive an hour and a half for a cheesesteak without blinking. This place is 45 minutes away and it's still worth it. That says everything. The space itself is bright, clean, and stacked with an incredible variety of Italian fare. Bring patience, bring an appetite, and run -- don't walk. You will not regret it. 5/5 stars. 544 NJ-35, Red Bank, NJ 07701 talierciosdeli.com IG/FB: @taliercios

I ordered a half cheesesteak sandwich with peppers and onions while my wife chose a half cheesesteak without. The sandwich was a good size. You have to be very hungry to finish a half.
