Really fun atmosphere, black and neon old school type of design. Prices were pretty good for the amount of food that you get! We had to wait a little bit before seating but there was a little fun arcade section so time passed a little bit. For the food Jalapeño burger - 7/10 It was a good burger, but there was nothing spicy about it. It tasted more like a great plain smash burger than anything. Retro blitz - 7/10 The two burgers tasted the same there was nothing two different to be honest that we could tell from eating. We added some dipping sauces to change up the flavor and the dipping sauces are pretty good. They're just on the little expensive side. You were able to choose any of the wings, sauces and get them on the side. Overall, a pretty great place if we were in the area and craving burgers would definitely stop by here again

They sell smash burgers, chicken burgers, tenders, wings, fries and shakes as their main items. The portions are pretty big, they give a lot of fries and their sandwiches are a good size. I got the Killer Bee and maybe because of how saucy it was, the chicken wasn't really crispy and lacked flavour. I'd want to give it another chance. The wing poutine was my favourite, it was so massive and I definitely had to save it for the next day. Atmosphere - 5/5 You walk in and immediately get transported back to the 80s in Miami. They really nailed down the retro miami vice diner vibe. There's limited seating as it's mainly a take out place. Service - 5/5 The staff here is incredibly friendly and nice. You can tell they're really invested in the place succeeding and are super helpful even during crowded times. They're very accurate about wait times and set expectations early. Will I go again? Yuppers! Need to get the wing poutine again and try the shakes! Lash's Recommendations -Wing poutine or any of the fries where you can add chopped tenders -Ana's cookout or Hot Spot combo but with either the classic crispy or nashville hot sandwich

Recently, I decided to get some takeout from Swiss Chalet. It's funny that I have yet to step foot in either eatery. I tend to hit the drive-thru to get my takeout and head home. Staff are friendly here. I got my usual these days, which is a quarter chicken dinner with a roll and chalet sauce. I get a salad with dressing as my side. I approached the window and paid with a credit card. I tapped and all was great. It didn't take long for my order to be ready. The woman handed over everything to me in a paper bag. I thanked her and drove home. My car smelled so good with my dinner next to me. I enjoyed my meal. The chicken was hot, flavourful, and yummy. The roll was warm. It came with butter, which was perfect. The chalet sauce was the right amount for me to dunk all chicken morsels in it. I like the side salad at Swiss Chalet. You get a lot of it and it's fresh. The dressing is excellent. Frankly, all veggie sides are good, from the mashed potatoes with gravy, to corn. If you like green beans and garlic, get this version from Swiss Chalet. Delicious! It's a decent Swiss Chalet. It's not my closest location, but I'd return here when I'm in the area. (426)

I love the Chalet sauce and wish I could take it out in bottle form if they do sell those (not sure!) to use to bring back across the border. Along with GF needs, we have to avoid all corn products, so finding a restaurant option while traveling can be challenging. The best places will talk to you about their ingredients and prep so that you feel comfortable. These guys were amazing! Rouge Kitchen's entire menu is GF and had things I've never seen before like GF poutine and fish & chips! They spent a ton of time with us finding something we could eat, and even adjusted a couple items to remove corn starch! Probably the best meal we had while in Toronto for 4 days! Highly recommended!

Fish Friday!!! Finally got a picture to post for this wonderful business!…read more To end the week off, we ordered fish and chips from Rouge Kitchen. They use haddock and the batter is the crunchy and fluffy kind. The chips are also delicious fresh out of the fryer. We ordered 2 pcs of fish which came to just over $20. The beautifully battered fish and freshly cut chips are served with a small side of coleslaw (not the creamy kind) and a store made tartar sauce. Their tartar sauce is quite possibly my most favorite tartar sauce in the entire galaxy! The owner is always generous enough to pack an extra container at no extra charge when I tell her how much i love her tartar sauce. Since we're still under the pandemic restriction, you have to call your order in and you'll be given a time slot for pick up. If you're in the mood for fish and chips (only served on fridays), be sure to call in your order early as they do sell out fast!

We arrived at 6:30pm on Friday night. It was not too busy. More like families around, some tables were couples. We ordered this special. The shared App was Four Cheese Spinach dips, we chose the baked chips. Pretty good portion. The mains we got Alfredo Pasta with choice of Shrimp. Reasonable portion, cheesy and tasty, but original price was $19.99. Another main was Mediterranean Salmon (extra $4 for this dish), it was rice at the bottom and cooked Salmon. I like cooked fish, not fishy. Let's do it. We love that. The shared dessert was a piece of white chocolate cheesecake with choice of dark Chocolate or caramel on the top. It was too sweet for us. It was not too busy, but my water not got refilled, and the waitress was hard to find her when we needed. Based on the price and the food, here was still a good place to come.

Walk in and was greeted very polite and that's really where the good experience ends. The waitress was the ONLY thing that was good about this experience. Firstly, it was slow so I'd expect faster service which we didn't get. And that's not the waitress fault, thats the management didn't properly staff the restaurant. Now on to the food, which honestly was WORST part of the experience. First the appetizer which was the spinach dip had hair in it. Thankful the waitress did get us a new one but the wait was long and we were already done our other appetizers. Then we got our main meals and I was disgusted with the price and portion of the food. I ordered a chicken fried chicken and got the beautiful big plate but what I saw was horrible. I had mashed potatoes and veggies with it and I was flabbergasted with what they put on my plate one scoop of mashed potatoes, one big piece of broccoli with a few tiny pieces and a small piece of chicken. Now I don't like to complain but I work in a restaurant myself and I know the proper way of portioning food on a plate. Which this was just wrong. I push it all together and it wasn't even half a plate of food altogether, the cost of it was $20.99. $21 for lest then half a plate. That is just disgraceful. I spoke to the manager and explained if the food was on a different size plate I probably wouldn't have been as mad. He had a rude attitude on his face and asked if I wanted anything else. I explain I have an allergy to onion so this is honestly one of the few thing I can eat of the menu and then he just repeat what would you like and I just said nothing thank you. But the worst part was as I left a new server had came in and walked over to my friend telling them that they over stayed and need to leave because they need the table. She told me after I had left good thing to because I would have been asking for name and number to call. For an empty restaurant really nobody should be rudely rushed out ever. Overall horrible experience. I'm disgusting and disappointed with the total out come of the lack of respect towards the customers with the staff here. We are spending our money on food and services, they should better than this.

Both were loaded with fresh toppings notably the chunks of avocado, cabbage, chili avocado aioli. They were messy but couldn't help myself licking my fingers. The fish was a bit small but for $6 in this economy who's complaining? The chili lime chicken taco was also a standout as well. In the blackened chicken alfredo the chicken was very overcooked almost to a point it seemed burnt so it was really hard to chew. The pasta itself was fine though. We tried to save but how can you say no to the Swiss Chalet fries and Harvey's onion rings?? Harvey's really does have that little touch of quality. It's yummy. I live under a rock when it comes to Swiss Chalet offerings. My dad is much better at it. He seems to know when there's roast beef on the menu. It's back! On Saturday, I wanted to have roast beef for lunch. I was running my usual errands in the eastern part of Markham. Spending roughly fifteen minutes to drive over here wasn't a big deal. This eatery is on Kingston Road. I had no problem finding it. I grabbed an available parking spot that was facing the side of this eatery and parked. I then walked over. I waited to be seated. It took a long time for someone to come over here. I saw a man a good five times run in and out of the kitchen. I imagined that he was busy serving customers. He was Cesar. He would end up being my server. I got an older woman who came over here. She exuded being the nurturing type. She was tiny (I'd guess less than five feet tall) and sweet. She got a menu and seated me at a booth while taking a phone call. She let me know that Cesar would be coming over soon. Her shift was ending. She still managed to get me seated before she left. That's good customer service. Cesar came over. I had enough time to browse through the menu. I knew what I wanted. I ordered these items: - Diet Pepsi - Hot roast beef sandwich with mashed potatoes and gravy, and market vegetables. I felt like his hearing or comprehension wasn't the best. He first thought that I wanted water with ice. I let him know again that it was Diet Pepsi. Same goes for the sides. He thought that I wanted fries and mashed potatoes. Um, no to two potato sides. He apologized and said that it was his first day working here. Ah, everything made so much sense! The dashing everywhere. It was probably nerves and learning so much on the first day. The same thing happened with the couple behind me. The woman wanted extra chalet sauce for her chicken. He forgot it. She reminded him. He eventually got it for her. He moved from Colombia. I bet it was quite the cultural shift for him. It's likely still the case. I got my Diet Pepsi. It was cold and yummy. I ended up getting another refill later on. My hot roast beef sandwich looked so good when he brought my meal over. The steam made me smile. I love a hot sandwich smothered in gravy. The two slices of bread with the most tender roast beef between them, covered in beef gravy, was divine. It was yummy and comforting. I loved the mashed potatoes. I got a side of gravy with it. It was a double gravy day. My veggies were perfectly steamed. They also got dunked into my gravy. Cesar asked if I wanted dessert. I was so stuffed that I couldn't eat anymore food. I asked for the bill. The payment machine had a prompt for a Scene+ number. I asked if it could scan the barcode off my phone. It couldn't. I presented my Scene+ number. He was great entering it in. I paid with a credit card. I tipped and tapped. I let him know that he did a great job on his first day. He appreciated it. It helps to provide encouragement, as taking a steady set of orders can be a challenge. I used the washroom before I left. It was clean. No complaints. I saw Cesar enter the kitchen. Instead of continuing to enter the kitchen to fetch food, he briefly came out and wished me a great day. It was nice. I reciprocated and told him to take care. It may be a small thing to provide encouragement and offer a compliment, but it's is meaningful to the recipient. I'm glad that it made Cesar's day and, in turn, mine! If you are doing takeout, you enter the restaurant and make a left. There are self-serve kiosks to place your order. I didn't see a human. I hope that you can also place an order with one there, too. Otherwise, go online to place your order and head to this counter to pick it up. I'd return here again for more good eats when I'm in the area. (195)
