I almost just finish the finish the Hi-Chew for pig (secret menu #6) was very very refreshing! Slightly creamy in a good way (giggity) For someone who hates Gin, it was flavorful and easy to drink! It really stimulates my adhd brain Pineapple bun - a little sweet and citrusy. The coconut whipped cream on top was a perfect topper! From the moment you walk in, it…read morefeels like a real pawn shop - filled with precarious things, creepy decor, and organized chaos. The host was hilarious, friendly, and just the right amount of sassy. To get in, they asked if we had anything to pawn. We were caught completely off guard! So here's your heads-up: bring something small to 'pawn' if you want to fully enjoy the experience. We didn't have reservations, but since there were only two of us, they were able to squeeze us in for an hour, which was plenty of time to enjoy the food and drinks. I was pleasantly surprised to find orange wine on the menu. Coming from Oregon where it's everywhere, I didn't realize it was harder to find in the bay. Now for the food: do not leave without ordering the octopus. It was incredibly tender and perfectly cooked. Easily the standout dish of the night! We also had the salmon roe over eggs, which was fresh and light. The only thing I'd skip next time is the 'charcuterie board'. For the price, it felt underwhelming with just a few slices of bread, cheese, and cured meat. The influencers were right - this place absolutely lives up to the hype. Come for the immersive speakeasy experience, stay for the food, and definitely make a reservation if you can!

How good can a meal possibly be? Can it be so good that you never want it to end? Oh my God,…read moreeverything we ate was that good. We. Were. OBSESSED!!! As soon as we walked in, we were welcomed with applause, like everyone was already our friend. We sat at the big communal tables with other groups, and honestly, we loved that experience. I can't remember the name of the potato dish right now, but I included a photo of it--it was the second best potato dish I've ever had in my life. And that octopus... you just want to reach over and hug it because it's too perfect to eat. It was incredibly tender on the inside, with the lightest, crispiest exterior. And that amazing flavor... ahhh, it was so, so good. We also ordered a steak, but I realized I forgot to take a picture of it. It was delicious too. The only bad thing about this place? The portions eventually come to an end. Guys, you seriously need to invent never-ending portions. The churros were amazing too. Every single dish was unique. You could tell so much thought and effort had gone into creating flavors that were anything but ordinary. Even though we were seated about 30 minutes after our reservation, it honestly didn't bother us one bit. I think I could've waited two hours and still thought it was worth it. How did you do this??? How did you manage to get a review like this out of me? Seriously, well done. We'll definitely be back as soon as possible!

I went to see a show " Italiani Veri "  last night. Fabulous cabaret-type show with performer Arianna. She's a true (veri) Italian from Milan who sang, danced and explained Italian culture as part of the entertainment. She has an amazing voice! She could have been a finalist at the San Remo Music Festival - the most famous singing festival in Italy. She fessed up saying she had been an Italian Mouseketeer! The venue has a bar/lounge to enjoy cocktails then a few steps down further is the theater. You need to be mobile since there are a lot of steps. Seating is first come-first serve. I have to admit that seating is quite tight. You are shoulder to shoulder with your neighbors. Get cozy folks. They typically have magic shows here! If you want to see a historic night club, this would be the venue to come to and enjoy a show. Italiani Veri show was a real treat! Highly recommend it!

Our bartender had all the personality of plain oatmeal, making for a pretty lame start to a lousier experience. It took 25 minutes for him to bother taking our order into an hour-long reservation because he was so occupied with the couple at the other end of the bar, but not before arriving with a drink we hadn't ordered. We momentarily thought it was a compensatory drink for the lousy service, but, no, he just awkwardly swooped it off the counter to deliver to the lucky soul who wasn't still waiting to order. We had to wave him down for a second order - because attentive he was not - which he he'd then proceed to screw up. It quite sucked compared to every other time we've been, and, while we can't get our time or experience back, can we at least get a refund?

We booked the dining reservation and checked all the fine print. Luckily, I finally found a review saying that their children were turned away at the door before we actually left for our reservation. If you're a Harry Potter fan, this spot is a must. The food was fresh and delicious, but let's talk about Nate the bartender, super cool, kind and welcoming.
