This is a fun little shopping excursion inside Ranch 99. From the outside, it may look a purveyor of all things gawdy and cheap (and that isn't an inaccurate description of much of the merchandise). But I have, over the years, scored some really elegant copycat designs of Cartier, David Yurman, John Hardy, and other high end jewelry. Spend a little time to peruse the window cases -- look past the plastic blinged out hair clips, dollar store costume jewelry, and plastic-leather purses -- and you may emerge victorious with an elegant bauble or two that could pass as the real deal and would set you back the cost of dinner for two at the pho place across the way.
Today, I treated myself to a dazzling set of earrings with a turquoise-centered stone and surrounded by pave CZs. The earrings + matching necklace costs $30.00. Score! Celebrate your retail find afterwards at one of the eateries in the store - banh mi, Viet Cajun shrimp po-boy, Korean bibim bap, or maybe a fruit smoothie around the corner.
