A great meal and a new word, "bistronomy", (a combination of the words Bistro and Gastronomy - name given to the exciting new culinary movement sweeping France, and breathing new life into its restaurant scene. Characterized by a more vibrant, experimental and informal approach to cooking than traditional French cuisine, combining bold and radical flavours with a more simple style of cooking. The focus is purely on the food, its flavour, and the feelings it inspires.)
Enjoyed filets de perche. Welll prepared but still homey and delicious. A real treat. If you were to transplant this spot into a touristy neighbourhood, you could charge double and they'd be lined up at the door, but it would lose some of its charm.
