Greasy. Something. We were desperate for it. Salt is used sparingly throughout Italy besides in sliced meats. Our tastebuds and systems weren't acclimated and we needed the flavor that can only come from heart-gripping sodium. In walks Le Milton Pub in the heart of Annecy's old town. It happened to be on the lower level of our VRBO rental, so convenience was a factor at the late hour. I'll give you a minute to judge our unsophisticated palettes. I've judged myself just as harshly if not more when I picked an Irish pub in the heart of the French alps. But...Le Milton delivered in the best ways!! Totally Francais Steak and Frites for me. Fish and chips for the kiddos. Pina coladas and a glass of French wine to polish it off.
