We were staying at a nearby hotel and decided on this restaurant based on location and previous yelp reviews. After a short 10 minute walk we located the establishment up one floor from the street. We were greeted immediately an shown to a table. The restaurant was bright and cheery with many families enjoying their surroundings. I was expecting to wait as the restaurant was very busy but within minutes our server took our drink order. The menu for just the pizzas and Calzones were more choices than anyone should have reason to ask for not to mention the pasta and meat choices. Again, once we ordered the pizza the food appeared within 15-20 minutes. The pizzas are said o be a portion for 1 person but we found with an appetizer an one pizza 2 of us were more than satisfied. read more

This is a wonderful place just off the beaten path here in Geneva. It's well worth the trip. The food is phenomenal. The servers were patient with those of us that don't speak French or Italian. Make sure to put this on your list of places to eat. read more

For several years I have come to the Luigia restaurant in Petit-Saconnex (Geneva) with my family and with my sports team. In November 2022, my team and I went to Luigia on our usual Wednesday evening. We had a pleasant evening, even if the risotto portions served were - surprisingly - baby-size, something the restaurant corrected by doubling the portions after we showed our surprise. Whilst that could be forgiven, a second issue, this time with the bill at the end of the evening was less 'palatable'. It turned out that the bill contained several non-consumed dishes (main dishes as well as desserts we had never had). The over-charge amounted to CHF. 70. When we confronted the waiter, he went away, came with a corrected bill, but no excuse or the offer of a drink or something similar. We paid the correct amount and left. However, it reminded us of a seemingly similar event that had taken place a few weeks earlier, but we had not thought of as odd at the time. Back then we again came in a group on a Wednesday evening, but that night we all went 'Dutch'; everyone settling their bill at the till individually. Surprisingly, the last person ended up paying a 'left-over' of CHF. 100, a ridiculous amount for one person. As not everyone had left at the same time, the unlucky colleague couldn't check this, so paid and left. Following these two unpleasant instances, I wrote Luigia in Petit-Saconnex a letter, outlining the issues and asking them for an explanation. I left the letter in their mailbox on 13 November. I never received any response. On 8 December, I forwarded that letter to Luigia's General Management in Geneva. Until today I have not received any response form them either. Just silence. Needless to say, eating out at Luigia's is over for me, my family and my team. Whatever profit they made during this period is little compared to what they could have made had they treated us normally and shown a minimum of accountability and concern after I reported the incidents. Silence here is anything but gold. So, check the bill before you pay anything, as it may spoil the whole idea of eating a good meal out. read more

A casual pizzeria with friendly and efficient staff and amazing pizza! We stopped by for a quick lunch between meetings and were blown away by the fire roasted crust, thin layer of dough, topped with simple sauce and glorious toppings! Though they are presented as individual pizzas, the portion is generous... we could have been satisfied if we shared. Will be back! read more

My husband and I spent a couple days in Geneva for the motor show in March 2017. We were staying at the intercontinental and they recommend we try Luigia since it was just a short walk from the hotel. Wait: We waited about 1 hour for a table for 2. It was packed on a weeknight so that bode well for how good it would be. Staff: Everyone was pleasant. We are American and service in the states is much faster due to the get in and got policy restaurants have, so it felt a little slower service wise. Our waitress made some good recommendations and was friendly. Atmosphere: Awesome. You could really tell that this is where locals gather. Whole families were dinning there, friends were meeting up, and everyone seemed to know everyone else! Food: Delicious! Nothing short of truly flavorful and quality food. Price: Steep. We paid about 80 Swiss Francs for a meal for two. Everything is expensive is Geneva so this was expected. Overall, definitely go check it out if you aren't on a budget! read more

The food was very good and the menu is huge, it is a bit expensive but worth it. However, the service was not that good, my girlfriend got her food when I was nearly finished with mine, which also happened to other guests around us. Another negative thing was an annoying peeping noise that came from the kitchen. It felt really uncomfortable and made as leave as soon as we finished our food. read more

In my opinion, Luigia has the best pizza in all of Geneva, and a great service! This restaurant is almost always full up, so I recommend you reserve a table. The staff does a great job, considering how busy the place can get! If you aren't feeling like some delicious pizza (which I don't understand why someone shouldn't be) you can order an amazing plate of pasta. In other words, great stuff. 10/10 read more

Best pizza we ever had, the specials are a bit expensive but well worth to try. Regular ones are also excellent. Our kids also loved the pizza and the tiramisu but even more they love to go there for the cinema :) Win-win for everybody! read more

Went there tonight after all the good reviews. The place is nice and clean. Staff is friendly for the most part, they don't really check on you if you need more drinks and stuff like that but hey this is not America I guess . The pasta was super salty and undercooked . My daughter refused to eat it because of the salty taste. Pizza was good and the Calamari was great. I will be going back since is 5 min walk from my place but for tonight the overall experience gets 3 stars. read more

Close to my hotel this was an easy pick for lunch given its reviews. The pizza was quite good though it came unsliced, making this American somewhat self conscious about whether I was supposed to eat the thing with a knife and fork. I tried this but eventually just sliced it myself and ate it a slice at a time like a decent American. At the end of my meal I was also confused as no check came but eventually figured out that the numbered menu holder on my table corresponded to the number to tell the cashier at the front to get my tab. Duh. Otherwise the food was good and the main reason for the 4 is that it was all a bit confusing for a foreigner. read more

I have been to the other location and actually ordered the same exact dish once just to compare, they were the same , for the record. I had ordered the Caesar salad with chicken. Very good and love the idea that there is no Cesar dressing on it as well...I put my own on and it was much better. I had my eye on some pasta so the next time I came, which was last Saturday, I ordered it, the pasta amatriciana, something like that. Its pasta with sheep's milk cheese and bacon and they say chili.....I think it was s slight spicy and if you don't like spicy you can still eat this since its very light. I enjoyed every bit of this pasta, the sauce was out of this world and pasta was fresh and good. I even tried to recreate the sauce at home a few days later I liked it so much. We decided to sit outside since the outdoor dinner days are numbered at this time of year. The bad part about it is, although allowed, the smokers on the terrace are unreal. Chain smokers unite at Luigia the night I was there....they restaurant has an ashtray near the tables and its the size of a cooking pot. They were puffing away one after another and it was like we were smoking too, its much too close. I wish they would put the ashtray down the stairs and away from people who are eating. One day Europe will get it and push the smokers out....when you are eating its a bit offensive. read more

The pizzas are amazing and I don't think I can get pasta there considering that the pizzas are so amazing! But I did try the pastas and they were very good too! The Luigia in this address (Chemin de la Tourelle 2) is not my favorite, it's less trendy and more of a neighborhood restaurant, the quality of the food or service does not change and the quality is excellent. But this place is definitely easier to get a table considering that THEY DONT RESERVE. In the other location (Rue adrien-lachenal 24A) you can spend hours waiting for a table, even on a weekday that is not Thursday or Friday. Their beer is excellent too and if you like truflles don't miss out the PETALE, but I'd rather get it as appetizer than as a meal because it's really copious. I also find it very affordable for its quality, it's the price of normal Italian restaurants in town, but Luigia's ingredients are very much superior than others. read more

There are 2 locations of this restaurant; we went to the one by the Intercontinental hotel. The exterior of the building doesn't really reflect the tone of the food. At first look, the building looks like a medical office. The food however is decent, no complaints there. We were a bit unimpressed by the service, but we have no real basis for comparison in Geneva. This was recommended to us by two unrelated parties, so we had to try it. Overall, we've had better in North America, but the ambiance is totally lacking here. Good food, cafeteria setting.
