I'm not…read moretaking away from what others have experienced, I can only say that our experience was much different. When I first walked in, the facility was clean and organized. While that doesn't always indicate the quality of care, it is a good first sign. The front desk was careful about making sure visitors checked in. I appreciate that they are keeping an eye out. There was complimentary coffee in the lobby and a cafeteria in the basement. When you are visiting, it is nice to have these service on site. My father was here due to a stroke and was not always the easiest person to have as a resident. The RNs and PTs were universally good in addressing my father's pain and rehab needs. I have to particularly complement the PT in encouraging my father to take part in physical therapy. Most of the CNAs were good with repositioning my father but there were a few who did not show enough caution when repositioning his leg where a part the ankle bone had been removed because of an infection. Any movement of the leg was painful and any sudden move was excruciatingly painful. No one wants to be in a facility like this. If any of my relatives were to need this type of assistance again, I'd be comfortable with having them stay here.

They are very short staffed, no one answers the phone or the button for help, you can't find the staff they all somewhere sleep. I wouldn't recommend this place at all. You are better off trying to get in home care for your love one. I would give this place a D+.

My dad was transferred here for rehabilitation of a broken hip. First the good. The venue is nice…read more The physical therapy team were good people. They tried to help. They were pleasant. They were professional. Now the nursing and in room care: HORRIFIC. Food always ice cold. If there was ice cream with the meal, it was a puddle of liquid. REPEATEDLY, not just on an occasion or two. We lost track of the number of times we asked the nurse or nurses station or left notes at the nurses station and they ignored us. Many times, just asking for something was met with eyes and looks of sheer anger. How many times was the catheter bag left open? At least a half dozen times. Carpet soaked in urine. The in room stench not fit for anyone. While he was unable to walk, he required a bed pan. Most nights when he called for one, no one brought one. One night, after waiting for hours, he soiled himself. The nurse who finally came to his room began screaming at him to walk himself to the bathroom and clean himself. He wasn't capable of standing without assiatance. His last night there, someone stole his personal wheelchair pedals from his room. When we checked him out, there was a fresh bandage, still in its packaging on his nightstand, to be applied to his bed sore, dated four days prior. Four days and not one nurse changed his bed sore dressings. If you take your loved one to this place, you are placing their lives in danger. Nothing but neglect.

I called er a B and kept yelling for her to get out of my house. She refused until I threatened her with the police. THEN, she goes out in my street and proceeds to yell F**K YOU, IN FRONT OF ALL MY NIEGHBORS. Im telling you stay away!!!!

They are changing his treatment plan without his consent or surgeons permission- which is a violation of his rights. Heartland Health Care Center-Ann Arbor When my husband…read moreneeded a rehab center, we choose Heartland because I was there twice before and was pleased with the services and the staff. Upbeat PT and OT staffers were essential in helping us recover strength and mobility. "Cat" the OT is exceptional. Always optimistic and encouraging she helped us during our stays. On Halloween, many staff members dressed up and that was fun for us patients. During my second stay, I needed the help of the Speech staff and they were outstanding. The food was fine, and there were always many choices. The grounds are attractive, and since the building is one story, these are many pleasant views. Part of my PT was walking outdoors, and I really enjoyed that. Heartland has a variety of group activities, listed on the calendar and posted by the club room. A nice plus, is that pets are allowed. Out of all the places I've seen visiting my aunt, this one is.....pretty awful. Super short staffed. 2 workers and 1 supervisor for the entire area. During business hours they tend do have enough hands on deck but in the evenings and weekends there is a dangerous level of inattention that goes down. Tell your loved ones to stay away from this place.

I had seizure 11 days ago and lost use of left side of my body. At first I spent 6 days at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, but needed to be transferred to a rehab facility to learn continue my recovery. Don't get me wrong half the staff is awesome but the other half(mostly made up of techs their words) are horrible. I don't feel safe and I'm not the only one. Been here 5 days now and it has only gotten worse the more I witness.

We are so thankful that our loved one ended up at Regency on the Bluffs. Everyone--i mean…read moreeveryone--was so caring, supportive and professional. They are all very hard-working. I know, because I spent almost 24 hours a day there during my husband's last days. (We had hospice care while he was there.) SO I was able to observe the staff around the clock. There were therapists of all kinds: physical, occupational, speech, respiratory, etc. Doctors, and P.A.s who checked on him. Social workers, etc. Best of all were the nurses and aides who attended to his needs--and ours--with understanding. We are truly grateful to Regency.
