I have tried tissue before my post was blocked. No wonder. A slow person. Every time I asked her to do Anything, she rolled her eye (she only had one working eye) it got so bad, she was wring a BOOK of what she did for me. Everything was a complete lie. (Incontenent?) Not me. A long with these papers yes papers, she had them on a folder for me to sign. I refused to sign these lies, so she grabbed the folder and papers out of my hand, leaving a awful divit (approx 1 inch long) and 1/2 inch deep. It bled for days. I called er a B and kept yelling for her to get out of my house. She refused until I threatened her with the police. THEN, she goes out in my street and proceeds to yell F**K YOU, IN FRONT OF ALL MY NIEGHBORS. Im telling you stay away!!!! read more

This place has gone down hill significantly. My mother was in the rehab place years ago and it is very different now. My brother was accused of drug seeking following a painful surgery. The RNs/MAs don't like it when someone can advocate for themselves. My brother has gone 2+ hours without meds. They are changing his treatment plan without his consent or surgeons permission- which is a violation of his rights. I would be worried of a senior family member being neglected due to their treatment of my brother. AVOID! read more

My father was there for the alotted time. They allowed him to fall 3-4 times. There were CNA & nurses who wete disrespectful to him and rough when handling him. read more

How a facility can release a short term resident, who is a new paraplegic without giving the caretaker any training on how to properly clean a permanent catheter site and clean and change bandages for a stage 4 bed sore, or use equipment to transfer her from bed to wheelchair and shower is unfathomable, but it happened today. And not only that, but have a nurse lie straight to your face is ridiculous. These guys call themselves professionals? Do NOT put any loved ones in this facility. God only knows what happens to the residents when loved ones aren't there daily to see what goes on. read more

I do not recommend this place at all. Our family member was there for rehab. Once he got up and walking they were ready to throw him out after only 5 days of therapy when the hospital suggested otherwise. The staff and place may be nice but the quality of services is awful. Find a better place and save your money. Their food also looks like slop on a plate. read more

This facility doesn't deserve even 1 star. Our loved one passed away while in this facility recovering from hip surgery. While we know we will never get the truth of what happened that day, I wanted people to know that this facility lacks in truly taking care of their patients. The nurses, aids, and PT staff are so overworked because the turn over is so high. An aide taking care of our loved one was ill and a few days later the entire unit had the FLU. Management is non-existent UNTIL there is a complaint, then they act like they knew your loved one personally. Our loved one was fine one day and gone the next and was only 73. I will always blame their lack of responding to the call light in a reasonable time as the reason for our loved one being gone. I would not recommend this facility to my worst enemy. Please watch your loved ones and don't depend on them. read more

At first, we were sold on smiles and cleanliness. It is definitely clean! But - that is all that it is. I would watch from afar and even wore a wig in to hide and see how they treated my parent. While not rude - they did not attend to her as much as they stated to me constantly. She was also MISDIAGNOSED and put on a strange diet that St Joe's in Ypsilanti laughed at and changed her from immediately! This was done once she was admitted for an infection she got at the home. That can happen in any home I know - but it added to our frustration. I also heard the staff gossip about patients. It was unprofessional and disgusting. Lastly - good luck finding someone in Admin or Management. If they need you they stalk you - if you need them....go uncover rocks looking. Stay away please. There are better options 20-30 minutes away. read more

Please visit your loved ones EVERY DAY and do not trust that your loved one is getting proper care! They are ALWAYS understaffed, and the staff that does show up is working double shifts and come to work ill. Upper management is never there and very unprofessional when meeting with family members. Our loved was in the rehabilitation facility after surgery and to our surprise passed away while in their care. We could not believe how insensitive management was and it took us 6 months of constant phone calls to get the facility to meet with us. We were also not allowed to speak to the direct staff that was there the day our loved one passed away. Since then we found out through current staff that a few caregivers that worked directly with our loved one have left the facility. We just wanted to make people aware that YOU need to be by your loved one's side every single day because it is hard for staff to be focused when they are over worked and short staffed. read more

My mom has been at the Redies Center, the rehabilitation portion of Evangelical Homes of Michigan in Saline for 2 weeks after some very major surgery. The facility is beautiful, very clean, and her room is comfortable. We have a large family and many friends who often take up space in her room yet every staff member is welcoming, warm, and highly professional. We are impressed by the rehab clinical staff (OT, PT, Speech) who have provided care to our mom, listened to what we have to say, and includes us in the treatment process. We are grateful to have this wonderful team helping our mom! read more

This place is horrible. The nursing staff is lazy and the Social Workers do not have any compassion for the patients. I have never seen so many nurses and aides sit around on their phones. The food is awful! Most often times it arrives cold. Do not be fooled by the facilities semi-nice appearance. I would suggest looking elsewhere if you are looking for good clinical care. read more

My mom has been in the Evangelical Home in Saline for more than 14 years. She has received very good care throughout. The staff have been friendly, helpful, caring, and decent to her and to visiting family members. Mom chose this one herself after talking with many local people about managed care facilities in the area. The only reason they didn't get five stars is that sometimes they're short-staffed. On the other hand, the staff is attentive and caring, so even when they're occasionally short of help, they work hard and get the job done. I would recommend this facility to anyone for themselves or a family member. read more

My wife and I visited a dear friend at Evangelical Home in Saline MI today. She (friend) shared with us beforehand how much she appreciated the facility and people. After being there and walking around the facility for over 2 hours, we can genuinely agree - this is a wonderful place! It's clean, well-staffed with professional and caring employees, cheerful, spacious, and respectful. I realize that some reviewers have had negative experiences, so I want everyone to know that others have had very positive experiences. :-) read more

I have a family member currently there. I'm not going to reveal all details at the moment other than to say the quality of care this individual has gotten has been beyond poor, so much so that we discovered the nurses there were flat out LYING about some of the things they said they did for them that they didn't. Some of the staff has been very rude to one of my parents. The impression I get is they don't want my parent to be there helping with my family member, but it's hard to do that when your family member is receive piss poor care and you're concerned for their well being. And then to be told not to complain because it'll just make this family member's life worse there and to just bite your tongue. Seriously, is this the way this system works? I can't wait to get my family member out of there. Thankfully my family member's care is being covered by medical insurance, but I feel bad for anyone that is paying $7,000/month for this garbage. If there's any karma in this world, I hope those who work there end up having to go through the same "quality" care they give their residents some day. Utterly appalling.
