I took my Tundra into Haney's for the dreaded Secondary Air Pump Valve (they are located under the…read moreintake manifold on these!) error. Bob Haney diagnosed it and gave me my options and I decided to replace all three valves because of the amount of labor taking off the intake manifold. Without going into technical insanity, it turns out that the new valve from Toyota was faulty, but it reported it was working to the computer. Bob chased this thing around for days and ended up having to take the manifold off many times, talk to toyota on the phone, consult the tech specs online, etc. Finally, using his oscilliscope, he determined the sensor on the new valve was giving bad readings and he replaced it again. I know he took a bath on this one, but when I went to pick it up, the truck was fixed RIGHT and he didn't charge me an extra cent. In fact, he said he learned a lot.
