First of all, I received a threatening email from Dr Gibson telling me I better take this review down or he'll sue me. I guess you aren't allowed to speak the truth here. Terrible experiences! 2 of my daughters went here and both had to get braces put back on again at a later date. My youngest daughter was told she needed 8 molars removed, we went to the oral surgeon and her dentist and they both said absolutely do not have all of those teeth removed. He put braces on her 3 times and made me pay every time. My daughter wore her retainer religiously too. We ended up changing orthodontists and went to Stoll, now the 4th time with braces but her teeth look amazing and they're making sure the teeth won't move. I'd never recommend anyone go here! In addition to your response, I'd be happy to contact the oral surgeon who YOU referred us to and prove that you 100% gave the extraction recommendation. As a matter of fact, he even called you and said he was absolutely not doing what you recommended. read more

When I found 1st Impressions, I had already consulted with two cosmetic dentists who were dismissive and offered me overpriced solutions that didn't even begin to fix my problem. Like a lot of adults, I had braces in my teens, but after suffering facial trauma from an assault that chipped my front teeth and broke my permanent retainer wire, I was left with shifting teeth, jaw pain from a misaligned bite, and poorly shaped composite bonding on my front teeth. I just wanted my normal smile back, and Dr. Gibson immediately recognized the issues that I was dealing with and the impact it had me, not just physically, but emotionally. We came up with a plan of action on my first appointment and he effortlessly fixed the tooth shaping issues on my composite bonding, checking in with me to make sure that I was comfortable and he had my approval. His staff took scans of my teeth, broke down the cost of my treatment into affordable monthly payments, and I was in my new Invisalign retainers two weeks later. After just a few months, I was finished with my Invisalign treatment, fitted for my retainers, and given the easiest at-home whitening I've ever had. Dr. Gibson has even taken the time to make additional improvements and properly shape my teeth to improve their overall balance. Originally told braces would be on for a year to a year and a half. ended up having them on for 2 years and my teeth still aren't straight. Everyone I talked to said their braces are typically adjusted every 4 weeks. This office were only adjusting mine every 6 to 7 weeks because they have too many customers to keep up with regular adjustments. read more

Do Not us this orthodontist, we have experience so much sorrow because we did. at first all seemed good but as time progressed my oldest daughter stated having an unusual amount of pain in her jaw and ear problems with it so we went to an ENT but that wasn't the problem it was the braces on her teeth causing sever TMJ. We went to our dentist and he reamendment some changes with the braces and wanted to converse with Dr. Gibson but we could get Gibson to give us the time of day on the subject and the two doctors were not communicating on the subject. We eventually had to have them removed by a different doctor on all three kids as we lost trust with Dr. Gibson. since then he has sent me to collections and we are having to pay for a specialist for the TNJ. so be careful I feel he is just out for the money and doesn't care for his patients or their families concerns read more

I've had braces for over 6 months and not once since my consultation has the doctor stepped into my visit to let me know the status of my progress. I was told I would need the braces 12 months or less, which makes it even more alarming that I could make it half way through this journey with nothing. I've asked a dental assistant during a visit and she said "it looks like everything's coming along" I'm sorry but after thousands of dollars spent "coming along" is as about as vague as it gets. So, thanks for that. And don't get me started on the BURDEN the staff makes you feel like you are when you have to reschedule an appointment that was booked 6 weeks in advance. My work life isn't routine and I've expressed this (of course during my initial consultation I was promised that would be no issue) but EVERY time I have to reschedule my visit date is pushed AT MINIMUM a week away. I had to wait 2 weeks to get an appointment for a broken bracket. If I weren't half way through the process I would absolutely go elsewhere. read more

When we first came to Dr. Gibson, we were nothing short of impressed. He seemed to be sincere and genuinely interested in our business and making my kids teeth just right. Not to 'salesy' like we had expereinced at other consultations/ortho offices, reasonably priced and assured us he could make my daughters ALMOST perfect smile, perfect. he took the time to sit down with us and it just felt like the right place (2013) Six short months of braces to fix her bottoms that were crowded. Easy breezy. Or so we thought. When the braces came off, there was NO improvement. Retainers were made and we were shipped on our way. To this day, Im still not sure WHY we walked out of the office and moreover WHY he let us. (this is a question that I still cannot get answered) WELL... we are back for the 3rd time. (we had gone back a 2nd time and again, no results with his bandaid 'fix') --- Thrid times a charm, WE HOPE! I am giving 1st Impressions another opportunity to make it right. They were more than willing to get us in even well after a year. After we sat in the chair and the doc finally came in, it felt rushed, uncomfortable & awkward. I feel like his practice has grown SO much, there's no room to stop, sit and listen. He was all over the place, anxious to move on to 'something' else it seemed. Like I said, I asked the question - 'why wasn't this addressed when the braces came off? -- diversion and no answer. I don't think he's a bad guy, in fact I thought he was a GREAT guy when we first met, I just wonder if he's lost sight of what's really important. Customer service, his patients and just the ability to care and take a minute. Somtimes bigger isn't better Dr. Gibson... I hope you find your way back to where "I think" you started. Dr. Gibson is awesome! I had baby teeth that never came out as a child so I had them removed. I needed to close the space as much as possible, have my front teeth pushed back and close space on my bottom teeth. Other orthos told me that I would need screws and/or have other teeth removed in order to take care of everything. WHAT?! So I went to Dr. Gibson and he was like "Nope. We can take care of this with basic braces and rubber-bands. It took about 15 months (as he predicted )and I got my braces off today! I am so happy. The staff was friendly, the office was amazing- the massage chairs won me over, and I left with a sweet little goody bag that had a starbucks gift card and chapstick and a lot of pleasant surprises in it, AND they offered to match the lower deal I'd found at another orthodontist. Not impressed. I went in for a free consultation, waited 45 minutes past my appointment time. They said they were busy and that's fine, but it's hard with a toddler and keeping busy. I was a little bummed that my time was not considered. But, I brushed it off once the visit was over. When I called to ask questions about the braces, one of the ladies who answered the phone said she will have to ask the doctor and call me back. Never did. 2 months after my consultations, the office called to see if wanted to come in and move forward. I asked the same questions, she also said let me ask and I'll call you back. Never did. So after that, I've given up on this place and decided that if my time and business is not taken into consideration then I will go somewhere else. read more

Mr Gibson and his staff were AWESOME!!! I am so glad I went to him. I had my braces on for 18 months and the staff were so nice and helpful. There were a couple of appointments I missed and they were so understanding and accommodating. It was nice to go into an appointment and see all their happy faces. I witness them give great care to other patients while I was there for my appointment and I never had to wait longer than 2 to 3 minutes even when I was early for my appointment. I wish they did leave me waiting because their massage chairs in the waiting area are amazing!!!!
