The brewery is very popular. The place had live music on a weekend. The space has inside and outside seating areas. Bartenders are super friendly and accommodative. I would say that the beer is quite good here, and everyone finds something they like. I enjoyed pale ale that has a little bit of floral background .

I stopped by because I was in the area and was looking for food. Their tacos are amazing! I would drive back just for them. I tried the chicken and vegetable tacos. They were fresh and delicious! They were the best tacos I've had! I'll definitely stop back here when I'm in the area again. The servers were friendly and nice. I'm so glad that I stopped here!

18th Ward Brewing is one of my favorite breweries in NYC! Incredible beers and an incredible time. I've enjoyed every single one of their beers I've had and pretty sure I've tried the whole menu by now lol. Definitely get one of their IPAs or sour lagers if you're not sure where to start. And sign up for the mug club if you're local and you like 20oz beer pours/free beer on your bday! You can even bring your friends who don't like beer (weirdos) since they also have a full bar. They also have fun events on the weekends. They've been hosting New Colossus Festival Summer Sunday's which consists of a rotation of different local NYC artists from 12-6 on Sundays but they often have bands on other days. Just follow their instagram for updates. If you like amazing beer, nice people, and live music then this is the place for you! This will be my go-to place this summer and beyond.

Stopped by randomly on a Sunday. Really has that Brooklyn feel to it. There was live music going on outside. Beer was pretty decent. Loved the elote chips. 4/5 because the pictures showed arcade games which was probably the only reason I stopped here. There were none. Not sure why but I'm assuming because of covid. Really should have gone down in stars but I know businesses needed to do what they had to do to survive. Maybe it should be updated on their info though.

Ahhh 18th Ward.. Great selection of beer and they have food?! Love it love it. Came with a couple of friends who were in town for the weekend. Tried about 5 different beers on tap and loved them all. If I didn't have other plans I would possibly stayed all night. With Tvs and good music playing why bother leaving? Haha. I'll be back again and again. OH and sign up for the mug club if you are a local. You won't regret it. But hurry they might run out of numbers.

Cool cans!!

Live music! Best of the best in Williamsburg every weekend. Courteous staff and great beer!! The bartender Ethan was very attentive and always got our drinks promptly. Thank you 18th Ward Brewery and company. See you next weekend!!!

LILY!

My life has been on the up and up ever since my experience at the 18th Ward. I'm pretty sure the bartender Lily hexed me... in a good way. Let me take you back to two weeks ago... I might've had the worst day of my life and I was sad sad. So I decided to get drunk solo. I stumbled into the 18th ward, unaware of what sort of fun and wonder was at store. For starters, the bar had this kind of "oh my god THIS is a bar?!" Kinda vibe. But the longer I was there, the more it felt like a place I've always known. I walk in, the mismatched flooring took me back to my parents remodeling my childhood home. The bar itself, resembles the most authentic Brooklyn hipster, I only like beer that comes from the hops teet- but that's the kid of guy I am. (For context I am a 5'4 man with a Claude Monet inspired beard. I only hang out w girls who like bears and I'm 47 and single.) Lily rocked my tits off. She knew exactly what I wanted by just looking at me. She was super sexy too while doing it. She poured me a neon dragon, and I saw god. Never in my life have a had a better beer, served by a sexier woman who I will add, does love bears AND beards. I was in love. She talked to me about space. Her favorite planet is Jupiter btw- so pretty but she also likes Neptune. She also is very pretty, in case I forgot to add. But her aurora is superior, unlike that witch troll Ethan. Enough has been said about him. I digress- In conclusion, 18th Ward is definitely the place to be. This Brooklyn hotspot has the Clair Peck seal of approval and would recommend this spot to anyone who asks for a cool yet cozy bar in Brooklyn. 8.73/10

Vodka Cranberry (substitute for Manhattan Cocktail since they ran out).
Laura E.

Came here for the Autumn Tippler to try their signature cocktail, the Manhattan. Unfortunately for me, they had run out of the ingredients needed to make the drink. The bartender was kind enough to offer me a substitute. Went with a Cranberry and Vodka. The drink was okay ( a little too much ice for my liking). The bartender was cool. He informed me about their selections of beers, which I thought was nice. I'm not a beer person at all, however, I do believe that my friends would find this place to their liking.

A HAITIAN PIZZA BAR OF SORTS…read more One of my co-workers suggested that we meet her after work because: (1) It's walking distance from work...The equivalent of taking the long way home. (2) We both needed a drink after an eventful, extra long work shift. We got the rum punch which was good but too strong for a Tuesday. (3) I had a craving for Haitian-style herring so we shared a herring pizza. Please note I approached this slice with the most apprehension that I ever had in life and was pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed it. Their pizza crust has an interesting crunch and flakiness to it that definitely giving homemade with a unique flair. The sauce was holding on to the generous amount of mozzarella while the herring and peppers were the shining star toppings. I enjoyed it so much that I would definitely order it again. If you are looking for a chill bar atmosphere with reimagined Haitian food classics to nosh on then come on in. Thursdays might not be so chill because it's Dance Thursdays and a DJ will be spinning Konpa chunes. It's work a try.

On the positive side, it's a very spacious bar and I saw board games stacked up, which tells me it can be a fun place to hang out. Now to the not as great. I sat at the bar and after looking at their cocktail menu, I ordered a French 75. You can imagine my surprise when I was served a drink in a single rocks glass which is basically what you'd serve an old fashion or other cocktail in. A French 75 needs to be in a flute. And at first, I thought maybe they don't have any flutes. Which still perplexed me because why have a French 75 on the menu if you don't have the right glassware. But I looked behind the bar and lo and behold, saw a flute. So not sure what that was about. The drink itself was ok. The other weird thing is that when I ordered, she rang it up and handed me the handheld device to pay. Since I was sitting at the bar, I'd expect to at least be asked if I wanted to open a tab or to just wait. Payment before the drink was made just rubbed me different. And of course, gratuity was tacked on, also rubbed me wrong. Because while I planned to tip, adding your own tip automatically to 1 drink is icky.

Bartender Camden was welcoming and friendly, it was fun to chat with him on a quiet afternoon. The space is along a quiet street with low ceilings, it's very cozy with soft lighting and art, plus beer signs. The beer menu was great with some fun styles. They have a small selection to go as well. If you're looking for a quiet and cozy spot to enjoy some local beer, this is a great option and I'd definitely come back!

It seemed like she didn't want to be there and anytime I asked questions about the beer, she had an attitude like I was bothering her. I ordered a flight and I enjoyed the beers. They have some great tasting beers on tap. The music was great, it was a blend of 90's jams. They don't serve food, but they allow you to bring in your own. The decor was simple, felt a bit cold and the vibe was chill. It's a small interesting space, when we arrived it was just us and 2 other small parties. When we left, there was a chaotic stroller party happening in the back. The brewery filled up pretty quick on a Saturday afternoon, with one slow moving angry woman pouring beers, it took awhile to get a beer. If the woman behind the bar had provided better customer service, I might have left a higher scoring review. I really wanted to like this place. Will I be back, probably not.

Very moody, low lit place with a huge collection of vinyl along the bar wall. I had the Allison Road, made with gin, dry vermouth, apricot liqueur, and orange bitters, described as "A smooth and aromatic gin cocktail that walks the line between floral and fruity." I also had the Junmai Spritz, recommended by the bartender, made with umami/saki, strawberry, ginger, and seltzer. Described as, "Crisp and refreshing, with subtle umami from sake, bright strawberry fruit, and hint of ginger spice." They also have drinks featuring rye, whiskey, rum, mezcal. Flavors of jalapeño, honey, orange, vanilla and chocolate. They have a HUGE beer list. Most of the menu is Japanese inspired. The bartender was kind, attentive, and very laid back. Other than a couple patrons here and there, I was the only person in there on a Wednesday afternoon. They say it gets busier on weekends. They also have a DJ on weekends, usually playing R&B and hiphop. They played mostly jazz when I was in, and it was very relaxing. I came in for the vibes, but this would be great for a workspace as well.
