I ended up paying cash the first round but for the second round I gave the lady at the bar my card. As soon as I handed her my card she instantly charged 50 dollars on my card without ordering anything. I had never been to sandman's karaoke, and he does things a little different. Apparently, you need to put twenty songs down to be in line instead of putting a song in and it automatically renews your place. The first time I experienced this, I was confused and I didn't understand why I wasn't in rotation anymore. Especially because I was singing behind him as I was first to get my name in. When I noticed I wasn't in rotation anymore I went to figure out what was going on. When I had mentioned this wasn't the way I was used to karaoke, I was given an attitude because clearly "it's not the way he does karaoke." Then, he told me I was being hostile because I was just trying to figure out what was going on. I could be easily added back, however next rotation I would be at the end again?.. After I'd explained, I'd never been to karaoke with him before, and that I wasn't be hostile, I was just trying to figure out how his karaoke worked, things got a little bit better. Not enough for me to recover from being insulted and belittledled for just trying to figure out how to participate in karaoke. After I put in my other songs and figured out how things worked, he still asked me what I was singing?! I felt I jumped through his hoops just to jump through sandmans hoops. Micromanage mutch?!? Needless to say I left after singing 2 songs, when I had planned my night around the event. I didn't understand the control issue with him?. Then today, months later, as this popped up as someone who I could join for karaoke in Vail, it still isn't fun for me now. Hence the review. If you want to sing karaoke with rules never explained, sandman will do, but be forewarned!! You better have all your songs ready and be ready to tell him again when you are called to sing, otherwise you will be at the end of his rotation listening to him sing instead!
