TL;DR/The Short Version: Great restaurant in the Byward Market. Loved the Chicken Burger…read more The Long Version: I came here for Happy Hour with some colleagues and we had a great time. Happy Hour is Sunday-Friday from 5pm-8pm. Selected menu items are discounted. I had the Chicken Burger ($20 during Happy Hour, $23 otherwise) which came with a side; I got the salad. I also got the Just a Girl cocktail ($11 during Happy Hour, $16 otherwise). The chicken burger was delicious. The chicken breast was grilled perfectly. It was crispy around the edges and tender and juicy at the centre. It also had a pleasant spicy kick from the sliced jalapenos. Really tasty burger! I requested the dressing on the side for my salad and it came as ordered. The salad was mixed greens with cucumbers, grape tomatoes and sweet peppers. Vegetables were fresh. The Just a Girl cocktail was delicious. It tasted fruity, nutty and a bit floral. I could really taste the rose water from the orgeat. It was pink and pretty too ;) My colleagues had the cauliflower bites, feta dip, mushroom burger and fries, and Raspberry Bellini's. Everything looked good. We were there on a Wednesday, which is their all you can eat wings night ($20 with the purchase of a drink). Everyone else in the restaurant was having the wings, lol. They looked great. I'll have to come back and give the wings a try. We were served by Tito, the manager, because they were short-staffed that night. He was a pro; service was excellent. Very charming and engaging ;) The restaurant has nice vibes. A great place to hang out. Street parking or paid parkade parking only, as it common for businesses in the Byward Market. (196)

Inside, it's very nice, ambient lighting, florals along the ceiling in one dining area. The seating didn't feel cramped. We tried various items from the menu, steak, salmon, Cobb salad, cauliflower bites, ravioli with blackened chicken. Most items were tasty. Also to note, almost all food options are halal. Service was fine, at some point we couldn't really find our server and had to ask others to assist in paying bill.

Out of curiosity, we visited this lovely lavender-themed restaurant to try its lavender-infused…read moredishes. From the dinner menu, we ordered their popular lavender ravioli, the new lavender salad with a choice of protein, and the spinach and artichoke dip served with lavender-infused chips. We also sampled the brunch menu with an eggs Benedict with bacon, followed by dessert. Of all the dishes, the lavender flavor was most pronounced in the salad, while the ravioli, dip, and chips offered more subtle floral notes. Dessert was beautifully presented--we were so eager to try it that we forgot to take photos first! My son's favorite was the lavender tart, while I especially enjoyed the blueberry cheesecake drizzled with blueberry lavender sauce. The service was friendly, and our server was attentive throughout the meal. The restaurant has a cozy lounge-style atmosphere with comfortable seating, and we chose a sofa table overlooking the patio. On select evenings, they also feature live jazz music, which adds to the ambiance. Overall, we had an enjoyable dining experience. It's a unique concept that offers something a little different, and the relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere makes it a great place for both adults and kids.

Had I known the bacon poutine was with the hollandaise, I would have asked if that could be an extra side instead of just extra home fries because it was delicious. The cheese in it was gooey and with the right amount of sauce. Potatoes well done - a must for potatoes in my books. I'd totally go back. I always stop into this place when I'm in Ottawa. I got the breakfast with meat and pancakes. Everything was good. Service was fast. It was a week before Christmas on a Thursday and the restaurant was packed.
