They always know how to get the party started, and I felt like my wedding was just the same! The DJ provided music for my ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. We asked for party music with a mix of soca and rock (so a little bit of everything) and the DJ delivered. The DJ was so communicative during the wedding to make sure he was playing everything we wanted. The MC was a hit - he had the best energy to get the crowd amped and dancing. All I wanted was a huge party for my wedding, and that's exactly what Body Rock DJ gave to us! In addition, we added the "dancing on a cloud" for our first dance, and it was like a literal dream! I could not have been happier with Body Rock DJ and I highly recommend them!

The Process We met with Jana a few times in person and over email and calls to decide on our package. Jana was incredibly professional, kind and honest. She didn't try to upsell anything and listened to all of our asks. She was an absolute pleasure to work with and made sure we felt confident our vision was going to be executed. About 6 weeks prior to the wedding Body Rock sent us a questionnaire to confirm our song selections and provide information about our wedding. We talked everything over with Jana and we were good to go! About 2 weeks out, we were assigned John and Nico as MC and DJ. The Event John and Nico - thank you!- they really made our night special! They listened to all of our requests and respected it. John and Nico received a lot of compliments. They had a great mix of music! They were able to play some soca and Guyanese music as well as all of the popular songs we know and love! We danced the night away! Overall Body Rock was excellent. I appreciated that the focused on making our wedding as stress free as possible. They listened to us and gave us exactly what we asked for. This includes friends and family that are not big on dancing, so much so, that I had a game table filled with board games for people to play that I thought wouldn't dance and NOT ONE GAME was utilized that night because everyone was having the time of their lives on the dance floor! One of our main priorities when looking for a DJ for the wedding was finding a company that would be great at mixing both English and Spanish music because our families are Dominican and Puerto Rican and they exceeded all expectations! Not only were they great at mixing both English and Spanish music, but they were amazing at mixing different generations of music. Frank was great at feeling the energy from the crowd to tailor the music to the vibes and Ricky was phenomenal at keeping the energy up overall and had everyone laughing and entertained all night! The result was I ended up in a screaming match with the MC as he attempted to refuse the song. This song had no vulgarities or anything else about it that could be seen as offensive. The level of disrespect was unbelievable. Shortly after the altercation, the party came to an abrupt end and everybody filed out. From my first meeting with the owner, David, I was impressed. David was professional, kind, engaging, and took the time to explain how his team works and answered any questions I had. We decided to book In The Mix to manage our ceremony and reception music, photo booth, and wedding Gobo. When we got closer to the wedding, we had a meeting with their coordinator, Phil, who we worked with to create the run of show for our ceremony and reception and finalize our music selections. Phil was phenomenal and was our point of contact leading up to the wedding. He was responsive, accommodating, and even managed to fit in some last-minute changes to our wedding song and "must play" list. On the day of our wedding, everything was flawless. Our DJ, Elton, was wonderful, and our MC, Rob, was fun, engaging, and really knew how to keep our guests excited and dancing. Until this day, we still get compliments on the music selection and photo booth. I highly recommend In the Mix for all your entertainment needs. They really are great to work with!

A bit miffed and concerned we had our initial meeting with Harry. He put us immediately at ease and worked with my rattled daughter to calm her concerns and quickly make us realize that everything happens for a reason. Harry assigned Billy (as the emcee) and Joel (as DJ) to our event. After a few more calls with Billy and the team, all details were worked out and we were ready for the big day. Fast forward to the reception, to say that Billy and Joel were professional, is an understatement. They were friendly and personable, very adept at reading the room and kept our guests engaged for the entire 4.5 hour reception. Once the dance floor was open, I can honestly say that at no point was there a lull in the excitement. The dance floor was PACKED all night long. To a person, my guests all LOVED the entertainment, with many asking for business cards for (hopefully) future use. We have heard from many of our guests after the event and all had glowing reviews. Most saying it was the best wedding they had ever attended, with a large part of that being the entertainment. As we all know, a good DJ / emcee can make or break an event. In this case Billy and Joel made me look like a genius for choosing them to DJ our event. In fact, we had all gratuity envelopes prepared prior to the event, so I handed them out at the conclusion of the event. The day after, I felt compelled to Venmo additional gratuity money to Billy and Joel as I really wanted to show my gratitude to them both for the excellent job they did for us. THEY WERE THAT GOOD!
