Bob at Top Hat is great! He is both the DJ and the MC, and he does a really great job of reading…read morethe crowd and knowing what to do next. I hired him as the DJ at my husband's and my wedding on 1/3/14 after seeing him do a friend's wedding. He did a fantastic job. He played the music we wanted, steered clear of our "Do Not Play" list, and was super affordable. We had him for both the ceremony and the reception and the music for both was seamless and classy. He even played some hip Spanish music for my side of the family! Also, this may sound silly, but he never once told the dancing crowd to raise their hands in the air, sing along, or any of that nonsense that we've seen other MCs do. I was very happy with that. He also really made sure that he had all of our names right, including my Cuban grandmother whose name is a bit difficult to pronounce. He engaged with the crowd but not overly so, and he was very accommodating with my husband's music request, including playing my husband's own mixes, and playing an instrumental version of "Baby It's Cold Outside" for my husband and me to sing at the end of our reception. He even cut if off in a good way when my husband and I laughingly had to stop singing because we forgot the words to the second verse halfway through and started cracking up. I would definitely recommend Bob for your special event. Great music, great price. He even put in LED mood lighting at our request, all at a THIRD of the price of the vendor recommended to us by our venue. We were super pleased with Bob!

I cannot say enough about what an amazing experience it was to have Bob DJ our wedding. My wife…read moreand I looked at e few DJ companies, but once we met Bob there was no question who we were going with. First of all he's cool. He's very relaxed and more than happy to guide you through the process. He talks to you with the warmth of a friend, not like a cold business man. With all of the other stresses we had getting our wedding plans together, it was really wonderful to work with someone that put us so at ease. Bob recommended that we let him know any and all songs we would like to be sure to have. "The more we put on the list, the more likely we will love all the music". Well, my wife took that to heart and came up with an amazing song list. Our list was not only long, but had several different types of music from Big Band (Swing) to 50's & 60's rock as well as modern songs. Bob took the list and arranged it perfectly! All the rite song types/tempos at all the rite times. We had an amazing amount of positive comments from our guests about how great the music was. We also had the opportunity to extend our reception by 30 minutes, which happened only a few days before the wedding. Bob was more than happy to extend his time for us. Bob is also just a great guy. We were married on June 14th 2014, and yet in October 2015 we were sitting in Ferrara's bakery in NYC having some desert, and as we were sitting there Bob walked by and recognized us. I was busy looking at my wife, but Bob stopped to say hello. He's that kind of great guy. He's busy with weddings and events all the time, plays guitar in a band, and all kinds of other things I'm sure. But he still remembered us so long after our wedding. If you are looking for a DJ that is great to work with, and that will make your event unforgettable, Bob Loggia and Top Hat Entertainment is the ONLY way to go!!

OMG THEY MADE OUR WEDDING!…read more If you are browsing around looking for a wedding band, stop now; you found them! If you are the fence of a DJ and saving money or a live band, stop now; yes, it does make a huge difference! This band rocked and literally made our wedding. We were not an easy wedding, we wanted songs from the Beastie Boys to Hey Mambo Italiano, to Ingrid Michaelson. We had an annoying do not play list and even asked the band to sing some songs but without a country feeling. The band came through in every way possible. From the guitarist sliding on the dance floor ripping a guitar solo, to Luciano Pavorotti being performed right after dinner and making literally everyone cry, to the keyboarder nailing every Billy Joel song, everything was perfect! We were nervous because about 75% of the wedding crowd was under 30 years old and the other 25% were an older. The band did an amazing job at playing new and old music that everyone knows and loves to dance too. We didn't want the same typical wedding songs. The dance floor was filled the entire wedding! The band played off the energy of the crowd and we had a ton of energy. From the cocktail hour to the very end the band did not stop playing. Our party even chanted "One More Song!" for an encore performance. I am telling you all our guest came up to us and said they felt like they were in the middle of live rock concert all night long. To the band, I know you all do a ton of weddings but you truly made our wedding night something unbelievable and special. Thank you again for everything! - Love Jess & Ryan!

They did such a beautiful job and communication with them was great. We chose to have a DJ (Matt) and MC (James - voice smooth like butter!) with a drummer (Justin) and a sax player (Dave). These guys were a dream team. My guests still cannot stop raving about them! They all said they wanted to stay on the dance floor and felt like they could've done so for so much longer, and were so disappointed when it ended! The entire room was up dancing - young to old, there was something for everybody. James pumped up the crowd amazingly, Matt felt the crowd and played the best songs, Justin on the drums was throwing drumsticks and doing crazy things with the drums - people still talk about it, and Dave on the sax was also amazing. I would not hesitate to use them - they were referred to me by sister, who used them for bar/bat mitzvahs for her kids as well and loved them. Allison was very patient and always got back to us with answers to lots of questions that we had and was very accommodating, and was able to get us additional things such as lighting, which was done seamlessly. Highly recommend!
