After attending a friend's wedding where Kris DJ-ed (and was fantastic), I knew I wanted Elite at my sister's wedding last year. We selected Marshall, who met and called them a few times prior to the big day to make sure he knew what kind of music they liked and accommodated all of their special requests. The day of, Marshall had great helpers with him, and had made my sister and bro-in-law CDs with all of the songs they had special requested as a keepsake. He played the music at just the right volume so we weren't screaming at each other, but had people up on the dance floor with his high energy and good song picks. Was not happy with DJ Ryan at all. I thought that based on the reviews all I had to do was give him a few songs and he'd get the crowd up and dancing. What a mistake. All he did was play music like a radio just one song after the other. I could have just made a playlist and have it play. He even blamed the reason why everyone was not dancing on me. He said I played the songs you picked and no one wants to get up. Even when a song did come on that got the crowd on their feet he would play something that would cause them to sit back down. I told him to make a Caribbean vibe and he played country music wtf. My wife looked at him and kept telling him what to play. I should have known something was wrong when he said we would do a dedication song dance with just me and my wife. This was not a wedding dude it's a birthday party. Our DJ, Tommy, and his partner where phenomenal. I highly recommend Elite for DJ services. Tommy especially was top notch and did a wonderful job all night long at our recent wedding! The photobooth was underwhelming. The "friendly" operator seemed less than excited to be there and I don't feel I got many pictures in my scrap book. Also for props he just put a bin on the floor instead of displaying a table. As of now, two weeks later I don't have a USB with all my pics but supposedly they are sending it. The Elite Entertainment team is one the best vendors we have ever worked with, and we couldn't have asked for more! They provided our photo booth, uplighting, and DJ services for our wedding in October 2022, and everything went without a hitch! Barry B did an especially incredible job as DJ & MC. He was professional, communicative, and overall just a pleasure to work with. Leading up to our event, he reached out to us to review his checklist, collect song suggestions, and get to know us and what we were looking for. Planning a wedding across the country from California was no small feat, but Barry helped us feel assured and in good hands. On the big day - from dinner to the dance floor, Barry and his assistant really set the vibe and did a fantastic job incorporating our suggestions, while also playing songs that had folks of ALL ages breaking it down! We used Mike Walter, the owner of Elite, for our wedding and he did an absolutely amazing job. He kept the entire wedding entertained, but didn't talk a lot like most DJ's do! He knew the perfect balance and did a fantastic job with intros, song requests, etc. He was very easy to work with and has fantastic energy that will keep your guests happy (along with his music of course!). Excellent job, beautiful up-lights, awesome photo booth! Planning is easy through their webpage. Log in any time to request your songs and fill out your wedding info. Mike Walter was our contracted DJ. He was very funny, personable, and up-beat during planning meetings. Sadly, he was sick on the day of our wedding, but he set up a great replacement who did not disappoint. There were people on the dance floor all night long. The woman operating the photo both was great as well. Made sure my husband and I got a few pictures in there, told us to jump the line any time, and put together a scrap book signed by her and our friends before the end of the night! I cannot say enough good things about Elite Entertainment. They were so easy to work with through the many, many changes of our pandemic wedding! Mike was so courteous and helpful as we made our DJ decision, and offered a lot of advice! We ended up going with Mary, and she was AWESOME. She completely understood the feeling we were going for. So often you attend weddings and can't hold a conversation with the person sitting 10 inches away. We just had my niece's wedding at the Shadowbrook in December and I have to say Elite entertainment did a fabulous job. Kris was the DJ with his assistant and made sure everyone had a blast on the Dance Floor. They did a great job making sure that everyone enjoyed the wedding! Additionally, we had the photo booth service which was incredible! The photo booth attendant Katie, went above and beyond to create an incredible photo album even incorporating the song lyrics of their first dance and theme of their wedding! We booked Elite Entertainment for our wedding (5/27/18) and couldn't be happier with the service. Thomas Williams was our DJ for the wedding and he went above and beyond, not only playing/avoiding songs requested in planning conversations but also music that was mentioned in the ceremony and toasts. This let us know that he was really present at our wedding and invested in being a part of the celebration. Thomas' attention to detail made it feel like our wedding was more than just a work day for him. The sales and coordination team (Dominic, Lynn, Chris) were also great providing all the options and information without pressure and letting my wife and I make a decision, while also being flexible adding services on to help us make our wedding happen without any snags. Elite was great to work with from beginning to end. They were very responsive when I first reached out. We went to one of their showcases and it was definitely helpful. They have a lot of DJ's to choose from and it was great to be able to get a feel for each one's personality. We chose Jay Thomson as our DJ and we were so happy working with him. Our venue had worked with him many times and they raved about him. When we met with him the month prior to our wedding, we were there for 2 hours, we welt like we had been friends with him for years. He was so easy to talk to and helped us figure out the best music for our wedding. The day of the wedding, everything was perfect. The music selection Jay used to compliment was our selections was fantastic. I did not leave the dance floor the whole night. Ryan from Elite DJ'ed our wedding and did a great job. We had an extensive list of requests for music, and Ryan was open to our requests and made sure to play the majority of them. Our planning meeting was really helpful and Ryan was very organized and thorough. I had encountered a few DJ's during our search that seemed unwilling to be open to our requests and wanted to do their own thing- Ryan made it clear from the beginning that it was our day and he was going to do his best to help us have a great time. There was one small issue with the ceremony music that was quickly corrected. Our guests were on the dance floor the entire time, and even started a chant asking Ryan to play one more song (which he did do for us). Beyond that, Ryan is a really nice guy who helped make our wedding a fun and memorable night. read more

I recently got married in the Bahamas and although it was amazing, we couldn't have all of our family and friends join the celebration. So we decided to have another small reception at home for all of those who couldn't make it. I was recommended Elite Entertainment through family, and I was so happy I used them as my DJ! Craig was awesome, he was super polite and listened very carefully to what I wanted. He was able to sense what kind of music to play at what times based on the crowd that was on the dance floor. We were able to dance to all eras of popular music! It was awesome. There wasn't a single song that I didn't know or that I didn't like. The package that I chose was ONLY $975 and with that included some strobe lights and glow in the dark sticks to hand around. It really enhanced the whole event. I thought the price was well worth it, and I'd definitely use Craig again for future events. Way to go guys! read more

Tara is an incredibly talented DJ and she literally saved the day when she filled in at the last minute at my sister's wedding. My sister's wedding unfortunately happened over the weekend that was consumed by Hurricane Irene and when our originally scheduled DJ canceled we thought we were going to have to play piped music off of a family member's iTunes account. BUT friends of the groom worked their magic of musical connections and Tara didn't hesitate to help us out. She showed up at the venue less than a half hour after getting our call, with all her equipment in tow. She was not at all phased by Hurricane Irene, she had the amount of energy and enthusiasm we needed. She had all the songs we needed for the bridal party entrance, the bride and groom dance, the bride and father dance and the groom and mother dance. She even had the cake cutting song. And with maybe 5 minutes to read through the list of names of the bridal party she get everything exactly right and we definitely don't have easy last names!! Our family will be forever grateful and indebted to her for what she did for us and I would very highly recommend her services. read more

My husband and I saw Elite at a couple different reviews they did at bridal shows. I spoke to Dominic Sestito about what we were looking for. We said we wanted to make sure the DJ had good energy and would be able to play music that would help people stay on the dance floor. We chose Jason as our DJ because of the energy he had at the review. Dominic confirmed he would be a good choice for what we were looking for. I cannot emphasize enough of the false advertisement. I might as well just of had an iPod plugged in. At least better music would of played. We met with Jason a few weeks before the wedding and told him what we were looking for. He said not a problem. We love upbeat music with high energy. He played absolutely none of that. I felt like I was 80 years old at a nursing home with the energy he lacked and his music choices. All my guests requested songs and he didn't play any of it until I finally had to stop my wedding and take a minute to speak to him. When I asked him to play more upbeat music he asked me to give him examples. I'm pretty sure that's why I hired him. We had already went over the type of music we wanted in the meeting and emails leading up to the big day. It has been a couple days since the wedding and every single guest has said how amazing the wedding was but "the dj sucked". The reviews they do at bridal shows are not accurate. We also requested a DJ and an MC. I was planning my wedding while in nursing school so it is my fault that I did not completely read the contract. But they never sent an MC and when I looked back they had worded it as an assistant. Anyone using them make sure to go over in detail what the contract says. Yes I should of been more adamant but I also wasn't expecting to get swindled and manipulated. Use another company. There are so many others out there that it shouldn't be a problem to find them. If Jason actually played the music we wanted than I probably wouldn't of noticed the lack of MC but he was horrible. read more

We used Elite for my daughter's college graduation party. We went to see them at a showcase at the Channel Club and they put on a very good show. The reviews online were very good so we booked a DJ, MC and the Photo Booth for my daughter's college graduation party. The DJ was extremely nice, but we were very disappointed for many reasons. We provided a list of songs through the party planner Elite has online after you book a party, but we found ourselves throughout the night asking ourselves "why are they playing this song?" Not only did we feel like songs were being played that we didn't want to hear, but the timing of other songs was totally off in our opinion. For example, the first song of the night was the Cha Cha slide - nobody was on the dance floor so needless to say the dance floor remained very empty. They played "Can't Stop the Feeling" during dinner - my daughter loves that song and was really looking forward to dancing to it, but that didn't happen because the timing was off. We are Italian and we love Cella Luna and the Tarantella and look forward to dancing to those songs. They played Cella Luna while we were eating dinner. If my best friend didn't come up and grab me to dance to the song nobody would have been on the dance floor. We went around gathering people to join us on the dance floor. I didn't think that was my job! The night just continued with moments like this as well as a good song would be playing and we would be dancing and then the next song was a song that I didn't even know. We thought that we were going to love every single song because we picked the songs we wanted to hear for the night, but that's not how the night went at all because songs were being played that we didn't want to hear. In addition, my daughter was not given the attention that we expected from the DJ. They didn't make her feel special or make a big deal that it was her graduation party. When we booked the party with Elite, they threw in a Gobo, example ("Lisa's Graduation 2016") lit up on the dance floor. The reason it is free is probably because you couldn't even see it! I had to ask about it at the beginning of the night because it wasn't even on and then they turned it on and you couldn't read what it said because it was blurry and so small. The next day I spoke to several guests and nobody even noticed the Gobo on the dance floor, including my son. Another thing to beware of before booking is the photo booth. We didn't look at the pictures prior to booking (shame on us). We have gone to several parties with photo booths and when we compare the pictures from Elite's photo booth to several others we had, Elite's pictures had very poor quality and the photos are very small - you need a magnifying glass to see the people in the pictures! The music and the photo booth were not worth that amount of money we paid. Elite has a very good sales presentation but didn't deliver what we expected. I did call the owner after the party to voice my disappointments and he listened intently and then offered to give us some money back. His exact words were "so it sounds like you weren't happy with anything" so he clearly understood our frustrations and today, we received $200.00 back in the mail - we literally laughed when we opened the envelope. My advice to everyone is to go see the DJ perform at an actual party prior to booking... DO NOT BOOK IF YOU HAVE ONLY SEEN THEM PERFORM AT THE SHOWCASE!!! That is not a real indication of the service you will receive! I don't want anyone to make the same mistake I made! These events are once in a lifetime and they can't be recreated so DO YOUR RESEARCH prior to booking! read more
