I visited this clinic multiple times in a short period of time and was asked to leave a Yelp…read morereview. I wish I could write a great review, but here we go... I initially went in with a toothache after quickly booking an emergency appointment. The receptionist was very nice and had actually offered me an earlier time after realizing it was for a toothache. During this emergency visit, the dentist decided that instead of fixing the tooth with toothache, I should instead have a 'new client' appointment, pay for full x-rays, and he would put me on a treatment plan for my entire mouth. This was not an issue as it was needed, but what WAS an issue is that after this happened, he asked, "is there anything else?", to which I responded that, yes, I booked an emergency appointment because I have a toothache so could that please be fixed. He said he would quickly put a temporary filling in that tooth, did so, and I left. The toothache is still there today. When I returned for the first part of my treatment, a root canal, the staff were very friendly and it seemed to go well. It wasn't until I checked my teeth in the car on the ride home that I saw that my two front teeth were now chipped. It's unlikely that the dentist and dental assistant didn't know they'd done this - I can only assume that they were aware and had chosen to keep it quiet. When I called up about this the following morning, I spoke with the same friendly receptionist from the previous evening and asked if I would need to pay for this as it was caused during the procedure, she said she'd speak with the clinic manager and that "it shouldn't be a problem". When I returned for the chips to be fixed, both the dental assistant and the dentist asked me multiple times if I'd eaten something that had caused the chip. I responded every time that, no, I saw it in the car mirror in the parking lot after I left my appointment 10 feet away - my mouth was still numb. I understand that they probably need to deny any culpability, but if it's genuinely their fault, enough is enough. At the end of this appointment, they charged me to fix the issue that they had caused. After they charged me, the person working on reception said they'd be in touch soon to schedule the next treatment - probably within a couple of days (it was a long weekend). This was 3 weeks ago. Also, during each of these visits I was told that there was an issue with my insurance to do with my birth date. After my very first appointment, I contacted my insurance company who asked the dental clinic to call them so they could work it out. The next time I went into the clinic, the receptionist told me they'd spoken with the insurance company and the result was to file the insurance via mail. After my second and third appointments, I reiterated this to each receptionist, as each one of them treated it as a new issue. Today, I received a text from the clinic informing me that there is an issue with my insurance and it "looks like your date of birth is wrong", asking if I could make sure it's correct with my insurance. Still nothing about the next treatment and this is now the 4th time I'm having to tell a different person at this clinic the same thing. Unfortunately, it seems like quite a disorganized place. Again, I wish I could leave a better review but I have to be honest.

Dr. Zee is without a doubt the best Dentist I've ever had!!!…read more Over the last 3 years, I've visited Dr. Zee at both his old clinic on 17th and his new 'state-of-the-art' facility in SE Calgary. During this time, I've had Dr. Zee and his staff take care of my: teeth cleaning, whitening, fillings and a most recently, a crown-replacement. When Dr. Zee moved to his new office, I didn't hesitate to make the longer drive to visit him. He's worth the extra time! There are several reasons Dr. Zee stands above the rest: - He is extremely upbeat, friendly and personable (his staff are always happy as well) - He is the best "freezer" I've ever had! You barely feel the needle, he doesn't over-freeze and I've never experienced any pain while he's working on me - He is both extremely skilled and efficient - His new office is beautiful and he's invested in state-of-the-art equipment (he clearly wants to run one of the best dental practices in Calgary) I recently went to Dr. Zee's new office for a crown replacement (my old one needed to be replaced). WOW is all I can say! He has this new machine that makes your crown on-site, within the same day/visit. Normally, you need to make 2 trips to the dentist for a crown. Not with Dr. Zee!!! He had it done within one visit and not only that, the crown fits a million times better. He uses a 3D digital scanner which then sends your image to a 3D crown "printer/carver" that sits within his office. I got to watch my tooth/crown being made right after Dr. Zee finished my 3D scan. All of the issues related to my old crown have disappeared, thanks to both Dr. Zee's skill and his fancy new dental equipment. Thanks for everything Dr. Zee. I will continue to recommend my family, friends and colleagues. Hopefully this review sends a few more clients your way as well, you deserve it!

First of all, this place is popular and gets booked out months in advance. I was able to get an…read moreappointment as a new client through a friend who has been going there for years (and spoke very highly of the dentist). And then taking the only appointment that they had available this month. The service here is impeccable. The receptionist was professional and friendly, and the dentist goes through a series of background questions first about you and your overall health before the exam. The hygienist probably has one of the least popular jobs there but explained a lot of things related to teeth and gum health that I never thought about before, that were really interesting. She also used this numbing paste on my gums to help reduce the pain, and offered me Advil afterwards if I needed it for pain management. I also left with some free toothbrushes, rinse, floss and a lip balm (made of all natural ingredients). So why 4 stars and not 5? It was damn expensive. Or at least, in my opinion. I've been a regular dentist visitor in my adult life and never seen a bill over $200 or $300 before, and at the end of my visit I was presented with a bill for $600 for the exam, two x-rays and an hour of intensive cleaning. PS: This place is located upstairs, look for the tiny sign and stairs next to Wow Chicken on 10th.

I would recommend Kensington Dental Care to anyone seeking competent, compassionate, and efficient…read moredental care. Not only were they able to accommodate a date switch due to an initial insurance coverage issue for me, but for someone who has a slight phobia of dental offices (and as such, has not been there in many years), they were also able to make me feel welcome and at ease throughout the process. Doctor Van Blaricom and his assistant, Wendy, were thorough and friendly, and great at explaining the reasons why they were doing and checking what they were. In addition, there was no judgement at all from either one as to my long stretch between visits, their main concern was to get me back on track, fixing the minor issues that were present. After a few suggestions for at-home dental care, I was easily booked into the next few appointments, all within the next few weeks. I was well attended to, everyone was extremely nice and approachable, and my hesitation for going to the dentist is gone! I'm happy to have found such wonderful dental care professionals in my neighbourhood!

When you first walk into a dental hygiene office and you're greeted with a, "WELCOME TO OUR…read morePRACTICE!" you know you've come to the right place! First impressions count, and lately I've been finding anything to do with the dental profession in Calgary has been lacking in the customer service field. I moved from Ontario and they are a different crowd there when it comes to pleasing their patients so I've become so accustomed to that. In finding a new dental practice I was finding many were not accommodating to patients' schedules. A lot were open from 10:00am and only open 4 days a week. That being said, I am so please to have found White Summit Dental Hygiene because they're open from 7:00am - 3:30pm 3 days a week, and by appointment on Saturday 9:00am - 4:30pm. Rocell is so thorough with the cleaning. My appointment was mostly scaling of hard deposits and I was surprised to find my main issue was on the upper front teeth in behind. I have bonded lingual retainers and very rarely do any hygienists even bother taking the time to work in behind there. She educated me on so many aspects of gum health I never even knew about. I get cleanings a few times a year and any new info is a huge deal!! She even recommended that I come back in 3 months' time to address my early onset gingivitis. Not only is she super thorough, she is super neat and clean. Sometimes in the past I would get nasty splashes of water all over my face and water dripping down the side of my mouth. Not with Rocell! She keeps it all neat and allows me so many opportunities to spit so I'm not choking on saliva. Weirdly enough, I am looking forward to my next visit for teeth cleaning. I would recommend this clinic to anyone looking for a good dental hygienist. Rocell is able to do everything just short of fillings and any other major dental work. For that stuff I'm sure she can refer to a dentist if you don't already have one.

I have literally never been to anyone else in my life because my old hygienist was THAT amazing. However, I moved here and needed a new one... Rocelle, the owner/hygienist of White Summit did not disappoint! I went to my appointment expecting to be disappointed because no one would be as good as what i was used to... I was wrong! She was actually BETTER than the lady who's been cleaning my teeth for the past 26 years! Rocelle was extremely thorough. Most of the time, a teeth cleaning is allotted a time slot of one hour and if you need more time, you have to come back for another appointment. Not here. Rocelle cleaned my teeth so thoroughly and even though it took an hour and a half, she did not cut me short on time! My teeth felt like silk after she finished. Rocelle's personality is exactly what makes her so special. She's extremely kind. I mean, she's so kind and warm that it's memorable. She makes a great impression and always makes sure you know what she's doing during the cleaning. She loves to answer any questions and offers guidance whenever you ask. It's incredibly rare to find a hygienist who's talented AND a caring, kind human being! She's quick to notice when something is painful and applies a numbing gel immediately. She's attentive and very intelligent (again, very rare). I already had my second teeth cleaning the other day and was just as pleased with the result as my first time. Thanks Rocelle! See you in 6 months!
