After a move I needed a new dentist- close to home, just for a check-up and cleaning. I made an appointment with Pro-Grace and was immediately bombarded with an innate number of appointment confirmation texts- which was somewhat annoying. The day of my appointment, after rescheduling my day to go to the dentist- they call requesting I come in 1 hr earlier-(really?) so, I do. They immediately ask for my credit card- as their policy is to have it, in case there's other charges, (I assume). This caught me by surprise as no other dentist ever requested I give them my cc for their files. After waiting, I was brought in to start my cleaning with a hurried hygienist. They were sure to use up all the possible blue cross benefits available- even though my X-rays showed no major issues, cavities etc., The hygienist, then, in my view, was super frantic- eventually leaving my 'bib' soaked as she used the rinser and had no time to wait for me to spit, swallow, whatever. She had apparently 2-3 years as a hygienist, but during the cleaning, she terrified me. Her comments ranged from losing my teeth to bone loss, one molar being an eternal problem, (which wasn't the case), and a number of other unnecessary opinions she had. So, she used up 2 units on my lower teeth and then proclaimed she had no time to finish my top teeth, as my exam was now pending by the dentist, so she hurried herself off to some other poor patient in her sights. Then I waited 15 or so mins, keep in mind it was THEY who asked me to come in earlier. The dentist then comes in- checks the X-rays, has a look at my half cleaned teeth, says everything is fine (not according to her hygienist rockstar), tries to sell me a night guard because I have evidence of some teeth clenching and sends me on my way to settle up my co-pay, (not by credit card). Of course my top teeth weren't cleaned, I was promised a 'free whitening kit', which I didn't get, because my cleaning wasn't finished and wanted me to book another appointment which I didn't as I will take my file to a different dentist. So after a few months, I get a text with the idea of having me come in for that night guard, (no). Nothing to suggest maybe finishing my cleaning, getting my free whitening. When I let the receptionist know that I won't be returning, she doesn't ask why, or call me to discuss, but says something about, 'making it better'. How do you do that without knowing what the problem is? Anyway- this dentist is about $$$, they really go hard core on that part and rush through, trying to get you to spend all of your possible benefits or cash and if they have nothing else to soak you for- you're off the radar, (like the elusive night guard . Bottom line rescheduling me after verifying my original appointment repeatedly and then 'running out of time after 30 mins of cleaning- only to have me sit there waiting for the dentist was poor at best. Not happy with this clinic and will be changing dentists. Unless they read this review, they have no idea why- mainly because they already got my $, I am sure of that. Worst dental experience ever. read more
