I was stunned and dismayed. I tried to defend myself saying after 25 years I was shocked and rarely late and this was circumstances beyond my control (talking to my manager) ... She ACTUALLY pulled up my file and said I had been late, itemizing 2 years before. I did ask to speak to Morley and asked her to have him call me. He never did. With so many dental offices advertising for new patients, it is hard to believe that this treatment is acceptable.

The dentist who resided in this buisness before (god rest his soul ) was quite good to but Dr.Kootsil is much more gentle and personable. He shows you the x rays points out the issue and tells you what has to happen (which the other guy never did) so it's a marked improvement for me anyway. If you are looking for a good and decent dentist who LISTENS and at the end of the day will give you options for whatever tooth is biting you.... The environment is clean and simple. Not as fancy as some newer high dollar offices but I don't go to the dentist to watch tv attached to a roof and I can't really see how that would help!, I go to the dentist to fix my tooth problems and get the heck out as fast as I can!! Not an emergency, but close to it. The receptionist would not let me see my dentist unless I signed off on their office's new privacy policy... a multi-page document I had never see before. Are you kidding me? Really? Yes, we won't let you see him unless you sign the document. As personal policy I never sign contracts unless I take the time to read, understand and agree to the terms and conditions. Were this a simple one pager, no problem... but, it was many pages and full of imposing legalese. "You acknowledge...", "You allow... " etc. etc. What a callous way to treat a long term patient. She's also quite receptive to the fact that I have anxiety, and is so communicative with me about it so that she can help me have the best experience that I possibly can, with so much understanding. They look even better than they did before, and everyone is always so shocked to find out that they're crowns. One time I came in because others were telling me I had really bad breath for the last couple of weeks, and she was able to help me identify that it was actually a side effect of a medication that I was on, and had nothing to do with my dental hygiene habits. Such a relief!!! She takes her time with you and always goes above and beyond to ensure that you understand any dental problems you may be experiencing, no matter how complex. She truly cares about her patients and their experience, and I've never felt like she was trying to create problems where there weren't any, in order to charge more (like I've experienced with other dentists in south Calgary). She's so warm, so engaging, and so knowledgeable, with a remarkable sense of humour. I had signed a release form for my x-rays to go to the new dentist and they were still not there after a month. The receptionist at the new dentist tried calling several times, left messages, sent emails, and no answer. Who has $9000 for 9 crowns? Save your money and find a different dentist. One star is the lowest, otherwise I would have given a zero rating.
