Not a flavour explosion kind of night but one that stays with you…read more Every dish here feels intentional. Contemporary, nature-driven, and deeply rooted in local ingredients, from vegetables to proteins, you can really taste the freshness in everything. Nothing is overly complex or trying too hard, but each plate is balanced, rich, and built to highlight the main ingredient properly. Every element on the plate actually makes sense together. Nothing extra, nothing wasted. It's minimal, but thoughtful. Subtle, but not forgettable. I liked every dish that came out. (Though personally... maybe a touch too much butter for me ).They also give you sourdough from their RPM Bakery, which pairs really well with the sauces. And I lowkey still miss the sea buckthorn dessert.. Service was amazing. Calm, attentive, and just fits the whole experience. I went with the Garden Drink Pairing (non-alcoholic). Not every drink was for me, but a few stood out and I really appreciated the creativity behind the whole pairing and the effort to mimic the complexity of wine. The pairing complements certain dishes really well, tbh. It was actually fun to taste how both the drink and the dish shift depending on whether I sipped before or after a bite. If you're a wine drinker though, I'd say go for the wine pairing. You'll probably enjoy it more. A very grounded experience overall. Not loud, not flashy, just quietly well done.

It's well worth of the two Michelle's stars. The restaurant is tucked away on a farm the spot itself feels very cozy but in a rustic way! We had the tasting and standouts were the halibut...can I just say the umami in that dish was out of this world Also the venison with the beet sauce was jaw dropping my good. Honestly some of the best food I have ever had.

Family came here for lunch and we ordered a few pizzas and some burgers. The burgers were good but…read moreavoid the pizzas. The Margarita pizza had way too much salted sprinkled on top of the pizza and blatant store sauce with now flavour. I tried the more adventurous Swarma pizza and it didn't work for me - Zatar spice with chickpeas, yogurt and cheese- avoid. We also did some wine tasting here and liked the Chardonnay but everything else was too dry. Nice ambiance and friendly staff but would not come back.

First off, I should declare that I am a fan of the Twenty Valley wineries and shops. Love this…read morearea of Ontario. Hubby and I often go solo or with friends to enjoy and check out new dining or wineries. Honsberger has become a fave for us. Their patio is wonderful and a good size. They have a quite large fully covered area to the side of the main building, plus then another patio area with tables that have umbrellas. Their pizza is excellent and done in an outdoor pizza oven. They do have other items (mains, salads, appetizers), that are prepared in their main kitchen. One thing we have noticed is that things are taking a bit longer in the Covid world. This is we assume due to precautions taken with cleaning etc. So -- do be patient and just enjoy. We find that they always have some interesting cocktails with their wine as a basis, and some are available in pitcher size as well as by the glass! Reservations for the patio are available via the TouchBistroDine app. You won't find them on OpenTable. The staff are pleasant and knowledgeable. Parking is available at the back and on the side. You do need to have face masks until you get to your table.

This review is actually about the Cottage Rental that is on the Calamus property. We saw this…read morelovely little cottage for rent (Merlot Cabin by the Millpond) and thought how lovely to get something with a millpond view and close to the winery. We were so excited and looking forward to it. Unfortunately they use multiple agents to rent the space - VRBO, Airbnb, and who knows who else. We emailed back and forth with the owner and he pre-approved us and we booked. Then 16 hours later we get a note saying, oops was booked elsewhere, we are cancelling you. He refunded right away and it took 5 days to come through (FYI). We get that conflicts happen but it took you 16 hours to realize you had a conflict? It really left us out of luck too as we cannot find another property for our dates (and yes the timing matters!) Good thing we had not put down money for wine tastings in the area etc. We hadn't got that far yet. Nonetheless, it was a crushing disappointment and left a bad taste in our mouths. Needless to say will be taking a pass in every way to this winery. Too bad really. We love other places in the Bench. Your loss! PS. Buyer or renter beware. :(

I had an expired Groupon, but the manager was able to substitute something of similar value without any issues. So they were accommodating. I really enjoyed ALL the wines that were served with their charcuterie platter! The whites, in particular, really stood out especially the Off-Dry Riesling and their Vidal, Ice Wine of course was really nice. I didn't know this, but they have a rooftop patio and serve food. It seemed like a popular place as many people walked in and went straight on upstairs! Perhaps I'll get a chance to go that next time. Definitely worth checking this place off even though it's a bit off the beaten path!
