During my visit to Edinburgh, I often imagined what life would be like in a charming Georgian townhome. My husband and I experienced that dream firsthand during our four-night stay at 14 Hart St B&B in Scotland.
From the moment we arrived, Angela's warm welcome set the tone for our stay. We instantly fell in love with the townhome's ambiance and timeless elegance. Our room, decorated with antique furnishings and featuring a delightfully comfortable bed, offered a perfect retreat. A thoughtful welcome package of whiskey, wine, shortbread, and a well-appointed coffee and tea setup made us feel right at home.
The en-suite bathroom was a modern haven, boasting immaculate tiled surfaces, a superb hot shower, and wonderfully fluffy towels. Each morning, we were invited to a formal dining room where a long table was elegantly set with fine china, silver, and glassware. The breakfast spread was equally impressive, featuring French press coffee, fresh juice, cereal, berries, and warm croissants. Angela even prepared eggs, sausages, and toast to order, ensuring we were fully energized for our day of exploring.
With keys in hand, we enjoyed the freedom to come and go as we pleased, always looking forward to returning to our delightful home away from home. Angela was an exceptional host--always available to answer questions and offer excellent recommendations for restaurants and local attractions. By the time we left, we immediately wished our stay could have lasted longer.
We can't wait to return. Thank you, Angela, for the warm hospitality and the memorable laughs along the way. read more
