There are 2 separate haunted houses and they are both worth it!!!! There is a bit of a line but it moved pretty fast! There are pretty well organized!

We came in on opening night in 2024 and I felt like it was well organized. I'm not TOTALLY into haunted stuff, but I came with my sister who is. PARKING - definitely check out street parking before paying money in the paid lot. We paid and as we were walking to the entrance, we saw plenty street parking. Bummer MAZES - They seemed really detailed and were pretty good at trying to stagger the groups. There were 2 mazes and another experience for an additional fee. The lines were long though for the 2 mazes included in the admission ticket. Every other activity was for an extra fee.

Paid $75 for a literal 12 minute haunted house. And we were stuck in a line while in the haunted house? Best part was the gift shop.

We paid $50 for regular admission (VIP is $70 and gets you closer to the screen). Overall, I'm not sure I'd enthusiastically recommend but it was entertaining enough. It's essentially a 30ish minute drive in movie that involves songs and a couple of short horror film clips (seemingly more student produced than Hollywood quality). While that's all going on, there are costumed actors walking around to scare the cars. You can have your windows up and listen via a radio station or keep them down and listen through the speakers. While the films themselves were a bit laughable, the live actors did spook me a couple of times. I read it's ok for families and while I agree that kids won't be super scared, some of the movie content was a little mature (but they did bleep out expletives), so I'm not sure I'd bring young children. This was definitely a sign of the times and probably not something I'd return to, but I'm glad we gave it a shot! We laughed and relaxed in the warm comfort of our car which you can't say the same about those waiting for the haunted house next door.

A little bummed when I found out haunted houses in fact were still being put on but oh well. There's a lot of mixed reviews here on prices saying it was extremely expensive, I'm not sure why, our ticket was $40 for the car so $20 each, which is less then your average haunted house. The VIP ticket (which is not worth it) is $60/car. I believe at our showing there was one VIP person who was maybe 300 feet ahead of us. The movie/show they put on is pretty corny and cringe worthy, but I was more there for the scare factor anyways. When we first got there I was bummed because we'd packed the back of the car with blankets and pillows to get cozy like at a regular drive in movie, but you pull in forward and stay in your front seat. I was also hesitant because it was really bright, but they put on a ton of smoke/fog machines so the people do sometimes appear out of nowhere. I thought their costumes were pretty freaky looking in the dark (not sure about quality otherwise), and I think they did a good job splitting up their time spent at each car. That being said I think there were less then 10 cars at my showing (Tuesday 9:10pm), and I could see this being far more difficult then on a busier day. They gave us a good fright a couple times, but nowhere near as scary as a typical haunted house.

We booked the two and a half hour Ghost Tour and Pub Crawl in the LoDo Neighborhood. This not only meant we got to check out some of the cooler bars in the area, but got to hear their history and hear some pretty spooky stories. We stopped at 5 bars/pubs along with a couple stops on the street in between. The guide was very passionate about the history and stories he was telling. He even dressed up in old-timey clothes to set the mood. If we ever go back to Denver, we definitely plan on booking a different tour through Nightly Spirits!

The guide was named Hailey and she was nice enough, but soon it became apparent that there was too much talking on this tour and not enough action. Every ghost or haunting was connected to the brothel industry or a bar and nothing new has been hsunted over the years. The only truly interesting story was of a photo hanging at the Celtic ( where you spend your first 20 minutes). Nothing can be verified though and these stories all seem to handed down via mouth, rather than paper. Another problem was the tour started in one place, but ended in Union Station and if your visiting for the first time like me, she doesn't tell you how to get back to your car. Hailey is clearly underpaid counting on a $10 bonus from the cheap owners of this national company. The tour starts out boring and never recovers. Also, there are some shameful plugs for restaurants that they want you to eat at after you finish. Secretly paid sponsors.

Literally 5 groups of us went in for every 1 group of general admission people. The air soft rifles were good quality and we received full safety gear for our tour. As it was just my wife and I, they paired us with some other folks. Our group started the tour by taking a few practice rounds to make sure the guns were working. Then, we entered the haunted tour. The actors were fairly mediocre even though we were the fourth group of the night. The tour guide would not stop saying, "stay together". Lots of walking and shooting but altogether a fairly low intensity haunted house as there were only around 10 actors. In roughly 10 minutes, the tour was over and left everyone in our group confused and all of us were saying, "that's it?". It's a fun concept to add the live fire aspect to a haunted house but it's just not worth the money for what you get. They need to give patrons more time, a bigger course, and way more targets. Until then, it's 2 stars at best.

It's not fair. Oh…read morewait, it is. Not the greatest fair if I'm being honest. There's some massive ones around the country that blew me away. This one is a bit more low key. My theory is that everyone around here is so busy, so spoiled for things to do, so outdoorsy, that the fair doesn't need to be a big deal because it's not a focal point of a disjointed community that all like to do their own thing rather than coming together, unless it's for a Broncos game maybe. So with that said it's still well worth a visit if you love fairs.

Fantastic, folksy fun!…read more I spent two days at the county fair this year, and even with a severe cat allergy it was a blast. I took meds before, brought my inhaler, saw the cat show, and went home to sleep with 2 Benadryl. It took me days to recover, but it was worth it. My friends and I had a blast. I watched trick pigs, dancing dogs, and talented cloggers. I ate an extreme breakfast burrito and tasted camel milk and cricket flour cookies. I played games with Oh Heck Yeah. I got a free loaf of bread. I saw folklorico dancers and a pie-eating contest for kids. Oh, and there was the chile-pepper-eating contest too. My husband and I were also inspired to participate next year. He's going to enter the home brew competition. Not sure which competition I'll enter myself, but I'll be bringing my dog to the Chihuahua-Pug races next year. This is truly a fun, affordable, family friendly community event. Highly recommended.
