Otis was kind with great attention to detail from the start. Ultimately, we decided with the glam package and our contract was very clear to understand with cost breakdown for removal of specific services / add-ons. I updated it many times with Jessica, our planner, as we made changes throughout the months, and she was always so patient and clear. Our MC Otis did a wonderful job with maintaining flow of the program. Otis was also working as DJ for a good portion of the evening, so props to him! We had closer to an hour compared to 1.5 hours of open dancing because we were behind schedule, but everybody was on the dance floor and he kept the party going seamlessly. Weddings are hectic and there are so many moving parts; we did get behind schedule but we were still able to do everything we wanted to do. Our photo & video services were set to end, but Otis was very professional in discussing with us if we wanted to extend our video services, communicative on additional cost, at the moment. Our photographer, Ben, along with the team Stanford and videographer, Christina, were so fun to work with. Ben was great at providing direction, which is especially helpful since we were not used to posing. I have not received photo & video yet as it has only been a week, but from an experience standpoint, they were attentive to detail, communicative, and glided effortlessly through the event. My makeup artist, Vivi, is the sweetest person. She was super attentive to detail and my particular skin type. I was worried about makeup because I don't wear heavy makeup often. I ended up paying for a make-up trial, and I was so happy working with Vivi that I had no worries for the wedding day. We also added-on make up for our mothers, which Vivi did the morning of. The reception decor turned out so pretty! Everything was set-up as scheduled. I was really happy with the welcome backdrop and name sign. It was also great to take pictures with guests with the backdrop since we had time during cocktail hour. We asked TDE to incorporate a large screen as the backdrop of our sweetheart table, so we found an example from a previous wedding they did, and it turned out exactly as expected. We added the photo-booth, which was so popular with the guests! There were so many cool props and our guests were having tons of fun with it. I also sent TDE a custom drawing that I wanted for the photo strips- and it turned out just like I imagined. We chose Grand Dynasty as our reception venue, and TDE communicated set-up details with our restaurant event manager, Esmond, in the days leading up to the event. Once in a blue moon, a company surpasses my expectations. When I first contacted Circle Video from…read moresearching online, I explained I had a fairly extensive video editing project and was under a very tight deadline. I was new to the Bay Area and had nothing more to go on than my first impressions over the phone. I explained that the project would involve three distinct "phases" requiring precise syncing to a soundtrack on specific musical beats, fast cut edits (3 seconds or less) with faultless transitions of over 150 photos into a 3-minute soundtrack, and setting multiple video clips to a timed soundtrack, balancing audios to enhanced voice-over-sound. I had a very special objective in mind. My stepdaughter was out of state at college, and I learned that she had a falling out with her dad. I knew she missed him, because they had always been very close. I was determined to find a way to remind her of all the happy times she had with him, and me, as a very special 19th birthday gift. The finished project was envisioned to be a time capsule of her life, through pictures put to a special piece of music, from birth to high school graduation. Part of the gift would be delivery of a 32" HDTV and DVD player for her to watch the video on. So this was a project that would demand a professional video production company. My first impressions of James over the phone were that he understood what I wanted, and I felt comfortable that he had the ability to complete the work. I liked the fact that he could schedule studio time right away so we could get started. I knew exactly what I wanted the finished product to look like, and so he suggested I sit in to provide direction as he edited. The session was long and very focused, but James never tired. He was friendly, attentive, thorough, and knowledgeable in his craft. Within days, James had completed my project for pickup. A week later, my phone rang. It was my stepdaughter who tearfully thanked me for her birthday gift. I knew the tv was not causing her tears. It was something else. I asked how she liked the video. She said all her friends had watched the 14-minute video and they were all blown away! And then she got quiet for a moment, choking back emotion. I waited. She said, "Mom, I called dad. The quality of the video I received was first class. The way the team integrated both cameras in the shot came through was perfect. Marina was superb to work with. She was diligent about scoping out and creating a contract from my needs. She was responsive and flexible when we discussed what her work would be that night. I loved how her cameras were small and high quality not taking up a lot of seats in the theater was really valuable as I could sell more seats. Her work post production was remarkable. The studios have easy to access doors so bringing in grip gear from a truck parked on the street is not a problem.
