We approached Emily about the party of 30-40. We ended up with 40. We selected 4 appetizers; bacon wrapped scallops, bruschetta, meatballs, and crab stuffed mushrooms all were fantastic. We had 3 choices for entree selections that came with salad or soup. My cousins wife and I were talking about the soup hours later. And the meals came out hot and perfectly cooked and seasoned. We can't say enough nice things about Emily and the waitstaff for our party! We kept bringing up issues and Emily handled everything with such professionalism that we felt confident things would go well. They accommodated our handicapped, special needs, and allergen sensitive guests in a way that was appreciated by all and seamless and unnoticeable. We all had a very wonderful time. Very thankful for the team at Meredith inn.

Today we , 4 of us sat in a dining area, with another family of 4 in the same area. Waited 10 or so minutes just for her to bring us menus, and order drinks. 15min, to bring our drinks, and take our simple food order. We waited and waited. We asked the family next to us and they said they came in like 10 minutes before we did, but they've been waiting over 40 mins. If not more. I asked how much longer she says, about 3 minutes! I saw her bring out 1 item at a time for this table... I was discouraged, they had a baby that was hungry! Ours came out 5 minutes later, same routine, 1 at a time Very dissatisfied and disappointed. Our food was cold and soggy from sitting in the kitchen, waiting for her to serve it. MY sisters fried mushrooms taste like soap, and they were cold! We 1/2assed ate, cyz we were hungry. I hope she made more money working as a bartender, cuz she wasn't a good waitress! Acknowledge your other customers and apologize for the delay, don't just ignore them! THUMBS DOWN! There is also a big patio area which is wonderful for a warm spring day, or a cozy summer night. The menu contains unique items amongst its standard fare. We went with the "Polish bowl", the " Italian bowl" and the cheesesteak. The Polish bowl contained pirogies that would rival any church lent takeaway. Accompanying them was kielbasa, sauerkraut, bacon, with side of sour cream and butter. Large portions, delicious taste. The Italian bowl consisted of four enormous meatballs. The flavor reminded me of my mom's who was taught by her neighbor who was from Italy. So very delectable. I took two of the four home and made two meatball subs from them- again, so enormous. The Grumpy Beaver does not skimp on quantity, but maintains a very high level of quality. The cheesesteak equaled two you would receive from anywhere else. The inclusion of sirloin, Swiss cheese accompaniment, and the local Mancini bakery bread ( long roll) will stand against anything you get from Philly. This was scrumptious. For dessert we chose a Dubai torte, and a banana peanut butter pie. Both did not let us down, with the heavenly flavor exploding in each bite. Our waitress Gabby was sweet and very accommodating. We will be back, and you should try it!
