We went around to several places trying to get an estimate and we got quotes from 7 to 15 K for a front-end bunk rebuild. Everything in California seems to be very expensive, so finding Universal RV repair was a miracle. They were very responsive with messages and texts. They sent a technician out to our RV site to give us a free estimate. Within a week of the estimate, they started working on our RV. It was finished in less than 2 weeks. Their work exceeded my expectations!!! They used new fiberglass when necessary and replaced all of the wood support and paneling on the inside. The bunk looks brand new. My Murrieta service garage recommended I take it to Colton Truck so I called and spoke with Rich Doltar. I told Rich we hoped to leave on a trip to Ocotillo on Monday and he suggested I bring it in Friday morning. They started working on it shortly after I arrived and had my rig fixed in 2.5 hrs. Turns out a compressor hose clamp going to the turbo had fallen off, but the tech was able to access the hose by removing the bed. Rich was so confident they could have me on the road that morning. I would start the engine & the generator periodically and drive it around the city every once in a while, but it really took a beating from the sun, moisture, and the trees it was parked under. I searched around for an RV company that could help and found VIP Enterprises. Full disclosure, initially I was pretty dubious. But after speaking with the owner, Valerie, and then the shop foreman, Daniel I became more comfortable with the company. I sat with Daniel and he explained my options and made suggestions based upon his experience. He was very upfront with the expense and told me where I could save money without cutting corners. Daniel kept in contact regularly to keep us updated on the progress and advised us when they ran into snags that might run into extra costs. They found 2 issues, that might have run into thousands of dollars, called to warn me about them, but diagnosed the problems that were relatively simple repairs without having to buy new parts. I got the coach back three weeks later with everything inspected, repaired, and ready to go. The exterior re-striping looks AWESOME! We'd always wanted a National RV Dolphin, but I was envious of families with the later model who had the Dolphin logo, so Daniel added it for us! Ozzie arrived and quickly diagnosed the circuit board was bad and needed replacement. Unfortunately, after checking his inventory he didn't have a replacement.
