My son attends, and he LOVES this place. Let's start from the top: Matt "The Immortal" Brown: super chill dude. When he coaches, it's about technique, and my son loves it. Their other instructors - these are the guys I wish coached him in (some of) his other sports growing up. They are supportive, approachable, fun, and friendly. Yeah, sometimes it's too much for a kid, but they aren't getting yelled at, they aren't getting thrown into a gauntlet, they aren't getting picked on. They're being pushed in a positive manner. Hanging around, it's clear how friendly the people attending the other classes are, as well, which just speaks to the vibe of the place. Plain and simple, when my son hits adult classes, I plan on attending with him.

I have learned so much and had so much fun. Casey Boyer is an excellent instructor and the Krav team is a very friendly and fun group. The Krav Maga classes have really hit the spot! We joined about 6 months ago and we signed a 2 year contract. Recently, we decided to move out of the area and the way the situation was handled was phenomenal. I had offered to pay the difference of the cost of the in contract membership and the out of contract membership for the past 6 months, so $60 plus pay on the price of the out of contract membership. It's old school, but clean as a whistle and such a professional atmosphere. "Old school" in the sense it's minimalist because you don't need a lot of fancy equipment for your coach to teach you martial arts. Also "old school" because the coaches are professionally trained - clearly taking mutual respect for coach and student as well as seriousness of your training program to heart. But - they meet you where you are - just push you to be your best. Here's my personal example: In California, I used to box in a micro gym (pre-COVID) then I had a personal trainer that I had to let go. Since November I have not been able to find a replacement. I came to Ohio for the fall and by happenstance landed here for a trial class. Bob gave me a full hour of mitts and noodles and got me back to training with the patience of a saint and the teachings of an expert. We decided to try this studio out for my daughter (who is 5) for the summer. They had a great…read morespecial which was $69 for 6 weeks of classes plus the uniform. It's a great way to try this program to see if your child will enjoy it or not. The instructors are INCREDIBLY patient! Our daughter is used to being in preschool and things like this, but this is obviously even more structured than that. I feel that she is learning some really valuable life lessons as well. She is being taught how to respect others, how to listen better, how to try and sit still, and how to raise her hand before speaking. All of these things are great life lessons, as she is going to have to get used to acting this way when she starts kindergarten as well. I am hoping that she continues to progress. She has good days and bad days (where is she is just wild in class). The instructors don't lose their temper, which is amazing to me..... they just continue teaching the class leaving discipline and discussions to happen at home vs. in class. They are also very good at instructing for anti-bullying and increases your child's confidence in dealing with bullies (if this happens etc). I think that it is a smart program to atleast try with your child.

I have only been practicing a short time. There are some things that I am very educated on such as customer service, good people, and passionate individuals. This place checks all of those boxes. I was in the area for work and prior to my visit, I emailed the website asking about "drop ins". In probably an hour I received a very welcoming reply with the class schedule and asking about my abilities so I wouldn't be in over my head. BJ greeted me, showed me around, and got me set up for the Basics course that was taught by Tyler. Tyler did a great job describing the technical aspects of what he was teaching and got around to everyone making corrections. I learned a bunch. The facility is unreal. Very large, spotless, and well laid out. I hope that someday I can return. Pretty sure I forgot my mouthguard, but that's a small price to pay for a great experience.

Great service and my son really likes it. They have seating for parents to watch which is awesome.
