After bouncing around a few gyms as I entered into the martial arts world, I finally found a home with tenth planet, and I knew it without a doubt after my first class. Every one here is interested in two things: Becoming better, and helping each other become better; Not just in martial arts, but in life altogether. The camaraderie experienced here is truly rejuvenating, and the coaches here are the real deal. If you don't believe me, come roll with one of them lol. During the training sessions, no one gets left behind as long as they speak up (Trust me, I am one of those who has to speak up). As long as you're showing up for yourself, all of the coaches here will be totally invested in helping you become the best grappler you can be. Absolutely love this school. Very welcoming to any and all new students. The community of students are all seeking self improvement and want the best for anybody who steps on the mats. Yes, they've moved to their third location now... because the team started as 15 people, to over 70 now...so we need more mat space right? If you build it, they will come. They'll probably move locations again to make room for another 70 students, it's called growth, and in just 9 months 10p Denver has grown and accomplished more than MOST gyms in the area/state. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at 10th Planet Denver. The coaches displayed exceptional friendliness, as did the fellow students who warmly welcomed me. Everyone was inclusive and enthusiastic about training, regardless of my stature as a larger individual. It's worth noting that if you decide to do a drop-in session like I did, don't be disheartened if the high altitude takes a toll on your stamina. Training under such conditions can be quite demanding. Nevertheless, my overall impression of this BJJ Gym is extremely positive. Conor is an OG of modern day MMA. I cant say enough about his approach to teaching BJJ. Coach Heather is equally legit and will take all the time you need to dtill a move or ask a question about any drill. These are pro fighters who are accessible and have black belt knowledge. This place is amazing. Every one is so friendly. The gym is clean, they have classes from 6:00am till 9:00pm. They have wrestling, Judo, Boxing, Muay Thai, Jiu Jitsu Fundamentals, Rubber Guard classes, All Levels Jiu Jitsu, Strength & Conditioning, a sauna and cold plunge. They have Great kids classes. The worst bjj in Denver. Overpriced and not worth the money. You can learn gi and no gi any other gym. The coaches here are so pretentious its ridiculous not a welcoming atmosphere. Conor just wants your money. Heather is awful. So many better gyms in Denver. Try factory x, Easton or 303 Bjj. read more
