I've been training for a while now and have spent time at multiple schools around the Denver metro…read morearea. To be honest, a lot of gyms here miss the mark, with outdated techniques, a lack of real conceptual teaching, and instruction that doesn't account for body differences or adaptability. Sometimes it feels like you're just learning what works for the instructor, not what could work for you. Logos is different though. This is the first place I've trained where I genuinely feel like growth is the priority for everyone in the room. There's no ego, no weird politics, no sense that you have to prove you belong. You're given space to figure things out, to ask questions, to actually understand what you're doing and not just copy it and it really shows. The blue belts here are solid. You can tell the teaching sticks. The techniques I've learned at Logos are things I actually use and build on in my day-to-day training, and for the first time in a while, I feel like I'm progressing with intention instead of just going through the motions. I've struggled with jiu-jitsu for majority of my time in the sport and Logos helped me reconnect with it in a way I didn't think I would again. Michael, Beth, Norm, Phil and Tri just to name a few have created something rare which is an environment that makes learning feel engaging, practical, and honestly fun again.

My favorite part is if you ask him WHY the move is done in such and such of a way, he not only shows you why but he has the knowledge to explain why you should do it that way. His monthly seminars are fantastic (which include line-of-fire, 3rd party protection, knife fighting, stick fighting, ground survival and lots more). Not only does Tom teach Krav, but he also teaches Muay Thai, cardio kickboxing, ground survival and a Little Dragons class. All I had to do at that point was to give the school a call, and see if they are even open (due to COVID), and if they are, how they are operating and what not. Easy, right? Wrong. I tried the contact number that was listed on the internet first. No answer. I believe their website had the same number, so no luck there either. After about an hour of search, I was able to find a number, I guess on their facebook page. It went straight to voice mail (I think it was a google voice number), and the greeting gave another number and suggested that I "text" that number. I left a voice mail, and then sent text to the other number, as suggested. No answer. I kept calling and leaving voice mails, and texting both numbers for the following two days. No answer. I ended up enrolling him to another school. The End.
