G and gang THANK YOU for giving me the best haircuts in my life! read more

Mark is the best best I've been going to Mark for about 3 in a half years. This barbershop doesn't have the best atmosphere. All I hear all day is about white people being racist and degrading women. I would never send anybody to this location because of that. I can't even bring my girlfriend to this location because she is of another race I don't want her to feel uncomfortable. I wouldn't even let my daughter get within 100 feet of this place. I will be following Mark to his new shop definitely. read more

Best barbershop in the game !!! Been here since they opened , always fast to get me in and I always leave feeling brand new , and the only barbershop that does free haircut appts for special needs gotta love and respect that !! read more

I saw Mark the barber for the first time. Precision. Clean. Care. Much respect from the East side!

I wish I knew the name of the gentleman that cut my son's hair. He was great. When I came in he was cutting an autistic boys hair and handled it very well too. Yes I had to wait a little but I didn't mind at all because they had plenty of toys that my son played with the whole time and snacks ! My son felt comfortable with him and he's a shy boy so I appreciate how he made him feel relaxed. It was my son's first haircut and overall a good experience. They even gave him a medal for his first cut ! read more

Went today for my son's first haircut. He's only 1 1/2 and cried almost the whole time, but Will worked great with him and his cut came out great! It's a kid friendly environment and they have toys and were even giving Easter baskets out. Definitely would recommend! read more

Their patience with my autistic son is amazing. Great vibes also. You can tell they all have a good time working together

It a nice business especially the atmosphere. They do e exactly what you ask for them. It is a true barbershop!

I have taken my son to this barbershop several times. He can be a challenging/dramatic kid when it comes to haircuts. This place is seriously awesome. They take their time, have the patience of angels, and encourage the kid at every turn. I've always felt comfortable here. And the haircut is fantastic- worth every penny. Highly recommend! read more

We took our 4 year old son in for his first barber shop cut and we are so happy we came here! We did some research on barbershops in our area and when we came across 101 barbershop we wanted to support as they do free cuts for people with autism and special needs and I think that is so amazing. They were very welcoming and took their time on my son's hair. This is the best cut he has ever gotten and we plan to keep coming back. Thanks 101 barbershop for all you do! read more

I came across this place on Instagram and called the number on the page. Person who answered lacked etiquette/customer service and told me to book an appointment online since it was for a free autism haircut. (Like dang sorry I bothered you). So I booked it online on the website that is linked on their Instagram, which gave me a booking/confirmation #. When the day for the haircut finally came they told me they couldn't find my appt, and so I showed them my booking # that I screenshotted the week before when I made the appt. When the "'manager" or something got there he had a condescending demeanor and dismissive body language and told me i needed to have email confirmation. I never received an email from their online booking, so idk if it was just technical difficulties or maybe I did something wrong. I showed him the screenshot of my confirmation # and he accused me of booking this appointment earlier that day! And said "this is just a screenshot". But I told him I booked it on the 13th (a week before). Regardless, it was his condescending attitude towards me that made me super uncomfortable and made me feel unwelcome. Thankfully he still allowed my son his haircut. Jordan and Justin cut my son's hair and they were very sweet and they tried their hardest to make it a great experience for my autistic 5 year old. Sadly I'm not going back because personally I don't like being in close proximity to mean grouchy people especially if they're the ones in charge read more

Amazing place with amazing people! Took my brother here for a haircut and it's the best haircut he's had in all of Henderson

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Went in today to have my son get a haircut. I had called the day before to set up an appointment and whoever answered said no appointment, walk in only. So I went, as soon as you step in the smell of weed hits you so strong (and this is supposed to be a kid friendly establishment????) we got this lanky guy with glasses (who by the way could not be bothered to wear deodorant) and I let him know I wanted a trim off the top, line up and a fade on my son. He buzzed the whole top off! And when he's using the machine, he's applying so much pressure my son kept telling him to slow down and stop as he is tender headed. Then comes the line up, which came out horrible. He missed spots, I had to ask him to hand me the machine so I can finish lining up the back of his head because he clearly wasn't going to do it. My son left with a horrible haircut and he was supposed to have make up pictures this upcoming Thursday! Our first visit over a year ago went great, this time around was horrible. I only came because his regular hairdresser was out due to the holidays. I unfollowed them on ig, no long support this place. read more

best place to get your hair cut my son and I go all the time everyone is kind and fast

Man I can not say enough good about the barbershop and it's barbers. I was a walk in, they made me feel at home and took care of me. My beard and hair grow super fast. I will be going back no doubt. read more

New to the area, I was looking for a true barber for my husband's bald head & long beard. I walked in to get a gift card, and a young man said he had availability for the following day. I wanted the hubs to have THE WORKS - Beard trim/shave, shave head, hot towels, etc. This youngster had no idea how to shave him. Did not use a straight edge razor, used something like a disposable or box cutter. Anyways, when we got home, I had to shave his head again because there was still stubble ALL over. His beard was crooked, and part of it must have been tucked up under the cape because it was still 2 inches longer than the front part. I'm sure some of the other employees might have done different, but I do a better job on him at home than this guy did. Sorry - we will not be back. read more

I took my son in for a haircut. With my son's autism, he struggles with haircuts. We have been to a few different children's salons around town. They were so patient with my son as he cried and squirmed throughout the entire haircut. They gave him some teddy graham's and flavored water during the haircut and even a lollipop when he left. I've never seen anyone as patient (outside of therapy) with my son, and his haircut is much cleaner than it is with other salons. We'll definitely be back. PS. They even let my son watch Baby Shark on the tv. read more

Came in as a walk-in. No problem. The young man who helped me was very patient, understanding, and a professional. He cut my hair how I wanted and trimmed my beard. This was my third visit. The atmosphere is always cordial, comfortable, and engaging. The good folks who work here give the place an atmosphere of an old time barber shop - a place of good conversations with new friends. A place where I wanted to get a good cup of coffee and hang out for a few hours. But life doesn't always allow such times... This is the only place in Henderson where autistic children can have a free haircut. On occasions, I forgot the schedule, the barbershop folks take their ministry of helping autistic children on the road to neighborhoods and other locations to give free haircuts. If you WANT TO DO SOMETHING GOOD IN YOUR DAY then go to 101 Barbershop, enjoy the vib and leave a nice tip! read more

Tried to call and make an appointment for my husband who is a disabled veteran and they refused to make an appointment. Insisted that there will be someone available at that time. Unfortunately due to scheduling and his disability this does not work for us. read more

I stopped into this barbershop because I saw it open and was tired of my son getting the mediocre cut that you get at the chain haircut places around town. 101 nailed it. My sons hair looks fantastic, really worth every penny. The staff was friendly and professional and the wait time was relatively low. I will definitely be back next time he needs a haircut. read more

They are SOOO patient at this barber shop! I brought my 3 year old in and he is autistic and so strong. They really worked with him and avoided some swats from him at the same time. We will definitely be back with my other son and my hubby! read more

101 Barbershop - My son loves his new haircut - Barbers Near Me - Henderson, Nevada

Went in for a free autism haircut for my daughter (which we have done before with great success). We came in and was told there is no one there to cut girls hair. That's fine. We headed out and they proceed to come out and tell me they can take her as long as she doesn't move a lot. I told them she had autism and that's not a guarantee so if they aren't confident then it's fine. They said it's fine. Cool, we go back in and he proceeded to to make my daughters hair extremely choppy and mind you, She wasn't moving enough to cause that. I point out how uneven her hair is and was told it's because the oil they put in her hair. I pointed out the choppy parts and told them to just give her a bob. They proceed to make it even choppier. I let her get off the chair and we left. I'll have to fix my daughter's hair on my own. This place had been great so far and I completely would have been ok coming back when someone who knew how to cut girls hair was available. But don't literally come follow me to my car letting me know you can do it then proceed to mess up her hair. It's hard enough getting her hair cut but this just adds to the frustration. It makes me sad. please don't touch a girls hair, make it sound like you can do it, then obviously not know what to do. read more

If you want a plain, quick and easy cut, go to SportsClips or Great Clips, it's cheaper and people are nice. I WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. The haircut experience wasn't good. I contemplated whether writing this review since I like supporting small businesses but there is something bothering me with their business practice - surcharging. I'll explain below but let's start with the haircut feedback first. The guy didn't listen to how we want the hair cut for my son. My son came home upset, crying. The guy kept saying "I got you" when he was explaining how he want his hair cut -- keep the top long. But he cut it too short, he was too busy watching the NBA game, while cutting my son's hair. My soon took years to grow his hair and it vanished just within minutes and we truly regret coming to this place. Only if the guy listened this could've been prevented. I tried talking to him but he wasn't even looking at me. This isn't a place for people who are trying to find their go-to barber, they don't care about customer satisfaction. Surcharging! They charge you $3 more if you pay with a card, this is illegal if you are using a debit card. Surcharging only applies to credit card and it should not be more than 3% of the actual cost of the service or product. For example, for a $45 hair cut, they can only charge 3% of $45 which is $45 + $1.35 =$46.35 for the credit card processing fee, but they charged $48 instead, I understand it's not a lot of money but I have no respect to place that do malpractice for this type things. Also, if you are surcharging you need to comply with the card brand rules and this means rules implemented by the Visa and MasterCard. You need to display the card pricing not the cash price. You cannot just tell about the surcharge 'after' and surprise the customer. I do not like business that add additional fees just because they feel like it and assume everyone doesn't know or care let alone they resist to not follow the rules -- whoever their merchant account provider is should be charging this business a non-compliance fee for applying surcharges INCORRECTLY. You can learn about surcharging here: https://www.lawpay.com/about/blog/credit-card-surcharge-rules/ read more

My 15yr old son sat still and felt so comfortable getting his hair cut. Christina was amazing and so patient. Thank you so much

Clean barbershop and great customer service! They always have great music playing also. They have complimentary refreshments at the entrance while you wait. Joven got me right with the fresh ceasar. read more

They may be doing a good service by providing free autism haircuts but they are very rude. Sorry, this is pathetic customer service.

Christina, the barber, gave excellent customer service! She eased my six year old son's mind about getting his hair cut and made him feel completely comfortable! The entire staff was friendly, welcoming and encouraging as they knew my son was fearful of clippers. There was even an area for kids that included books, coloring books, juice and water. I highly recommend this establishment for the positve environment and great cut! Thank you!!!! read more

Nice place. Of course got sports on TV! Friendly people. No hurry, relaxed. Nice haircut.

I have been looking for a men's hair cutter for two years now. I found this shop totally by chance and I'm glad I did. I drew Joven's seat on my first visit to 101. What a nice guy, and he really knows what he's doing. I got a great cut, my search is over. The owner was terrific. These guys can cut all kinds of hair and make it look good including my thinning canvas. This shop has that old school comfort level with a new school look. Highly recommend! read more

I loved the service. I brought my son who is in the spectrum. I was not sure how he was going to react because he doesn't like people touching his hair or ears but Joven was really patient and caring towards my son. They cut my 2 year old son's hair. I was having the hardest time finding anywhere he could get his hair cut because he hates it. Cool vibe, and they do the Lord's work here by cutting autistic people's hair. read more

i showed three different photos and explained what i wanted and the barber was so eager to start cutting he clearly did not listen to a word i said. absolutely ridiculous. the blending was terrible, did not use alcohol on areas that were shaved. they also said they were able to cut curly hair but they didn't even wet it before combing it out with a non curly hair friendly comb. i don't know if there was anything redeeming. i wanted to come here because i assumed they would be patient with customers but my barber was nothing of the sort. save yourself the money and emotions of being disappointed with the final result and go somewhere else. read more

The barber who cut my son's hair for school did a great job on the fade, but he butchered his hair on top. It was super long and he wanted a messy look. The barber cut it with clippers and no scissors. It was uneven and looked terrible. We had to go have it fixed the next day by my stylist. Maybe it was because his hair was super straight. Not sure , nice guys but we won't go back. read more
