Never need to check any ingredients on anything! Plus it sells nice cakes that are irresistible!

Now, as you may be able to tell from my reviews and not-so-svelte physique, I am NOT a health…read morefreak. I love food, I love to indulge in a tipple (or two) of a night out and I don't care too much for running, jumping and generally doing that "fitness" thing I hear is all the rage these days. My one redeeming health feature is that I do take vitamins and drink herbal tea. Granted, I don't get all of my supplements from Holland and Barrett (that would just work out too expensive), but they are good for getting certain "hard-to-find" or "Specialist" bits and pieces. They also regularly have clearance items - meaning you can sometimes find a real bargain! They have a loyalty card scheme and do regular sales (such as "Buy one and get one for a penny" and "half price") which can result in hefty discounts. I tend to find that even with my purchases (at around £10 a month), I qualify for 50p off with my discount card fairly regularly - making it worth my while. There is also a bonus 250 points (or that was the case when I joined) added to your card when you join the scheme, meaning you get £2.50 off their products with points voucher. I can recommend several of their products! For one, check out the tea section. There are great herbal teas and special blends to encourage vitality (for both sexes), help to ease the pain of certain ailments and promote good health for others. The main reason I have used Holland and Barrett so consistently is the friendly and helpful staff. If you have a question about supplements or a specific ailment you want to treat, they can normally lead you in the right direction for something to help and have lots of great advice when it comes to their products. So, in summary... Holland and Barrett. It's nothing special, it's just a chain, it can be expensive but the knowledge of the staff (and consistently good customer service) have always kept me going back. If you are in the market for new health related products, drop in and have a look!

The selection of products has increased considerably and rather than feeling bit dingy and tired, it's now light, bright and airy. They have all the main things you expect such as supplements, nuts, dried fruit, healthy things as well as some small selection of beauty products. I recommend you look in regularly to take advantage of the special offers they periodically have. I bagged myself a huge carton of EPA capsules (500) at half its usual price and also big 50% discount on the 2nd jar of glucosamine sulphate when buying one anyway.

Based on the atmosphere and quality of wine, I love this little spot. It is so cosy. We were the only customers in the store and received superb service. The owner runs this location and a few other shops, plus hosts food tents at festivals during Christmas. She came over to our table and made some wine recommendations and gave us a bowl of crisps on the house. My partner, Seth S., and I both ordered the Pinot Noir from Romania. It was delightfully full-bodied and smooth. The lighting is dimmed just enough to encourage good conversation and a comfortable atmosphere. There are two main rooms for seating, each with groupings of chairs or booths around bistro style tables. The art and decor feel like a brasserie. I would highly recommend The Deli for a delicious glass of wine (or 3) and great conversation with friends.

Breakfast Review:…read more One of the best Full English breakfasts in the Midlands! Its a wonderful deli, on the High Street in Boldmere, with outdoor seating - which is superb when the sun comes out! The breakfasts are awesome. Superb sausages, great bacon, exceptional bread, (the deli sells some of the best bread in Birmingham). 2 succulent sausage, 2 bacon, fried egg, 2 half tomatoes, mushrooms. toast, quality butter. Its one of the best in Birmingham, (I rate it joint 2nd). The staff are great, headed by Pip the owner and her team of assistants, (including sons). The only real problem with this place is that I always spend a fortune on their amazing cheeses, breads, cakes and pate's. Try it. You will thank me!
