This is the gem in Liberty. We have been coming here on a regular basis over the past few years. It is halfway between our home and our tree farmer, so location is how we found it. The menu has most everything you would expect in a family based Mexican restaurant. And the food is very good - someone's grandmother must be in the kitchen. I love the chili rellenos and the enchiladas. My wife loves the summer plate. They have a salad bar and a real bar with decent margaritas specials. The staff - like family- you have to love them. I've been here many times for lunch. They have a large variety of lunch specials . They also have a salad bar (best salad bar in liberty!) that comes with your lunch special. Food always comes out quick and it's been good every time I've been there . read more

Had the chicken enchiladas. I'm almost sure they either put American Kraft slices over them or used Velveta but the server called it queso blanco despite its terrible taste and yellow color. The horchata was good but unfortunately it didn't save the meal. Overall the meal was sub par and I would not return. read more

This place was very sad. The staff was not friendly or quick to serve and the food was horrible. We were visiting in town and I was looking for good Mexican food and was very disappointed. When we got there, it was more than half empty so they were not busy, but took a while to get us seated. Then it took us about 10 minutes to even get an order for drinks and about 15 minutes to even get the order in. Maybe I am used to quicker service in Houston and I thought maybe their food is fresher and that's why it's taking so long but sadly another disappointment. The food tasted like it was Jan food... From the tamales, to the beans and the salsa it was all very low quality and lacking in flavor . It was quite sad because there's not a lot of Mexican food to choose from in the city and I feel like if they put effort into cooking more authentic Mexican food with authentic flavors and good ingredients, they would have a really good chance of succeeding. The workers all seemed very bored, depressed, or just not wanting to be there so their personality radiated the food quality. Needless to say when we visit again, we won't be going there. Our absolute FAVORITE place for authentic Mexican food. Customer service is amazing they know us all by name. The owners work in store are very friendly and respectful. Bartender is owner but doesn't skimp out on liquor makes the best margaritas!!! We love to go here with the family or on date night! Food is great, salad bar included with all the good stuff. Am I in Texas? This feels like another states poor imitation of Tex mex. My margarita has a cherry in it, and it's yellow??? I think the cheese melted on the chimichanga and enchilada might be American slices, ok maybe it's velveta. This rice just has a foul taste. Worst Mexican rice I've ever had. What a great place to eat! Honestly, I would have never stopped and eaten here by the appearance of the restaurant. After a friend suggested trying it we decided to go. The food was amazing! The Fajita Beef Flameado was some of the best I have eaten. It comes out on fire which is fun but it also taste good. The tortillas are homemade from scratch and the service was great. Me and my family go there often and you notice as soon as you walk in everyone is smiling and have a good time. The food is great, its not to noisy, and the drinks are crispy and amazing!! The quality of food is getting worse. Tamales are now half the size that used to be and the service was poor. I don't think my waitress ever checked on me once during the meal. They were congregated, the staff, over at the bar chitchatting rather than checking on customers. read more

Everything we've had here is decent. Not many restaurants to choose from in Liberty, but this seems to be the best Mexican food restaurant in Liberty. Chips, salsa and queso are good, but not as good as other restaurants in town and WAY overpriced. My husband and I ordered takeout a few nights back. He ordered cheese enchiladas, I ordered the jalisco, and we ordered a small queso, small salsa and small bag of chips and it was $42!! The small queso was $7 alone! read more
