This is the gem in Liberty. We have been coming here on a regular basis over the past few years. It is halfway between our home and our tree farmer, so location is how we found it. The menu has most everything you would expect in a family based Mexican restaurant. And the food is very good - someone's grandmother must be in the kitchen. I love the chili rellenos and the enchiladas. My wife loves the summer plate. They have a salad bar and a real bar with decent margaritas specials. The staff - like family- you have to love them. Really, they are all nice, friendly and caring. So - looking for a great hole non the wall to try - go here. read more

In town from nacogdoches babysitting my nephew's dogs for a week. This place was very good! Service was excellent. When I'm back in town I will definitely come back. read more

I've been here many times for lunch. They have a large variety of lunch specials . They also have a salad bar (best salad bar in liberty!) that comes with your lunch special. Food always comes out quick and it's been good every time I've been there . read more

Had the chicken enchiladas. I'm almost sure they either put American Kraft slices over them or used Velveta but the server called it queso blanco despite its terrible taste and yellow color. The horchata was good but unfortunately it didn't save the meal. Overall the meal was sub par and I would not return. read more

This place was very sad. The staff was not friendly or quick to serve and the food was horrible. We were visiting in town and I was looking for good Mexican food and was very disappointed. When we got there, it was more than half empty so they were not busy, but took a while to get us seated. Then it took us about 10 minutes to even get an order for drinks and about 15 minutes to even get the order in. Maybe I am used to quicker service in Houston and I thought maybe their food is fresher and that's why it's taking so long but sadly another disappointment. The food tasted like it was Jan food... From the tamales, to the beans and the salsa it was all very low quality and lacking in flavor . It was quite sad because there's not a lot of Mexican food to choose from in the city and I feel like if they put effort into cooking more authentic Mexican food with authentic flavors and good ingredients, they would have a really good chance of succeeding. The workers all seemed very bored, depressed, or just not wanting to be there so their personality radiated the food quality. Needless to say when we visit again, we won't be going there. I hope they take a look at their business and try to save it. They could do well if they would. read more

Amazing Food! Amazing staff! And Amazing Margaritas!!! I stumbled across this little gem a few years back and absolutely love it! Don't let the outside of the building sway you to somewhere else. It's super cute inside, family owed and so friendly! read more

We are traveling and stayed in Liberty, Tx. Excellent service. Food great. Good margaritas. Loved it.

My plate was delicious 15 grilled shrimp baked potato rice and hush puppies! Yum! Missing food bc I ate it already. My husband wasn't as satisfied as I was. His Chille rellenos came with tomato sauce on top I guess he didn't read that part in the menu. read more

Several recent dine-in visits and multiple to-go order take-outs. Great service. Congenial servers. We haven't explored the extensive menu, but what we've ordered was delicious, dine-in and take-out. Facility is colorful and inviting. We will return. read more

Service and food were exactly what we were looking for! Quick, delicious, and affordable! Loved this spot

Really good food and drinks! I got the plato loco and my husband got the shrimp brochette and everything was delicious even the rice beans.

Great food and the service is fast and efficient. My husband & I enjoy the food and lively atmosphere. Fun but not too loud so you can still talk to your dinner companions. read more

Our absolute FAVORITE place for authentic Mexican food. Customer service is amazing they know us all by name. The owners work in store are very friendly and respectful. Bartender is owner but doesn't skimp out on liquor makes the best margaritas!!! We love to go here with the family or on date night! Food is great, salad bar included with all the good stuff. Definitely recommend best in Liberty/Dayton area! read more

All I can say is love love love this place. And I came to just drop off something up the road with my wife and seen this place and said why not let's try it. And now know that we are driving from Baytown. And now it looks like we will be driving out here just to try something new on there menu. read more

Great service and great food! Ordered something that wasn't listed on the menu, but we were able to get it. Fajita Flameado (1 Beef & mushroom & 1 chicken & mushroom). Very friendly & attentive staff Also there's a salad bar with great salad options with the purchase of your entree. This was on our way passing through. Glad we chose this spot! read more

The service was friendly. The food wasn't bad but it wasn't out of this world either. The chicken tacos had no seasoning. The refried beans were watered down. It was just average. read more

What a great place to eat! Honestly, I would have never stopped and eaten here by the appearance of the restaurant. After a friend suggested trying it we decided to go. The food was amazing! The Fajita Beef Flameado was some of the best I have eaten. It comes out on fire which is fun but it also taste good. The tortillas are homemade from scratch and the service was great. I'll be back as soon as I can! read more

Am I in Texas? This feels like another states poor imitation of Tex mex. My margarita has a cherry in it, and it's yellow??? I think the cheese melted on the chimichanga and enchilada might be American slices, ok maybe it's velveta. This rice just has a foul taste. Worst Mexican rice I've ever had. To be fair, the chicken chimichanga is pretty good. read more

We've been coming here since we moved Liberty in April, we recommend anything in the menu, Alberto, owner/bar tender is awesome. Tell him what you want & he delivers. The wait staff are mostly all family and Maira the Hostess( owner) is just precious. This family owned establishment is amazing, their goal is to provide you &/or your family with a quality meal/drinks and enjoy eating out! Try them out read more

The was good for the area. I mostly like the staff but due to COVID they seem a little too lenient on the mask rule. Too many people walking around without mask. Outside of that, the queso is watered down but the fajita was cooked wonderfully. read more

Me and my family go there often and you notice as soon as you walk in everyone is smiling and have a good time. The food is great, its not to noisy, and the drinks are crispy and amazing!! I Accidentally pronounced a name wrong of the plate I got and it was flautas. I said it wrong and the funny waitress made a joke out of it. All in all the BEST tex-mex resturaunt ever. If there were 10 stars to rate this place I 100% would! read more

Rice was the only good thing. Hair in tacos, tamales dry.... beans tasted like metal... the hair is what put it over the top. Just wasn't impressive at all. Salsa was ok. read more

The quality of food is getting worse. Tamales are now half the size that used to be and the service was poor. I don't think my waitress ever checked on me once during the meal. They were congregated, the staff, over at the bar chitchatting rather than checking on customers. read more

Everything we've had here is decent. Not many restaurants to choose from in Liberty, but this seems to be the best Mexican food restaurant in Liberty. Chips, salsa and queso are good, but not as good as other restaurants in town and WAY overpriced. My husband and I ordered takeout a few nights back. He ordered cheese enchiladas, I ordered the jalisco, and we ordered a small queso, small salsa and small bag of chips and it was $42!! The small queso was $7 alone! read more

Finally, a worthy Mexican Food restaurant in the old Golden Corral building. Comparable to a Pappas owned establishment.

From the homemade chips and sauce to the charro dessert...perfection. We were not expecting such well seasoned food. Everything we ate and the service was wonderful. We will be back. read more

What a nice surprise! We saw "Margaritas" on the side of the building while driving to the Libert Opry and boy were they good...and we are picky about our ritas. We also had the shrimp queso flameado and it was fantastic...there serve it actually flaming ! read more

We really like this place. Close to Dayton & worth the drive over. Always friendly staff. Very clean restaurant. Great margaritas!

I am pleasantly surprised. Great food and service. Homemade flower and corn tortillas, I had both and they were awesome. Quality food at a reasonable price. I will definitely be back. read more

Best Mexican in this area. Margaritas are perfectly strong and delicious. Very excellent value.

I did order a chicken flautas, they were the worse flautas I ever had, tiny flautas over priced, tasted like the one I buy frozen. I will never comebacks to this restaurant. read more
