My top favorites are: al pastor, barbacoa, and chicharrones! You can have options to add onions and cilantro with your tacos if you like. Their sauces that come with the tacos are so good. Everything made here is so fresh and delicious. This is officially my new favorite taco place. I am willing to drive all the way from Houston for here. Seems like a lot of people from Houston come here as well. It's well-worth the drive! Plenty of seating inside. Great service too! Owners are super friendly. I will definitely be ordering more tacos from here in the future.

It's not needed as the person at the window is always bilingual, but I like to practice anyway. The food here is amazing. The menu has most everything you would expect in a family based Mexican restaurant. And the food is very good - someone's grandmother must be in the kitchen. I love the chili rellenos and the enchiladas. My wife loves the summer plate. They have a salad bar and a real bar with decent margaritas specials. The staff - like family- you have to love them. Really, they are all nice, friendly and caring. So - looking for a great hole non the wall to try - go here.

I took my parents there as it's their favorite place to eat and I get it as it's more Mexican food vs the TexMex food all over Texas. I do remember the food being very good but one issue I had was the cheese sauce in my enchiladas, I was NOT a fan of that stuff! It tasted weird, was it cheese wiz or a texmex concoction not sure but not a great taste. I love the self serve available at the end of your meal. I love a treat to go while driving... nice touch, especially if you have littles and need to bribe them to finish their food.

Chuy's seemed to be the place to go in town, but wasn't open yet. I drove around and found this little building with Menudo! written on the window. Of course, I skipped the Menudo and tried the Chile Relleno plate. Rice and Beans were a little disappointing, but plentiful, which was nice after a long hungry drive. Thick, homemade corn tortillas. I prefer them a little thinner, but they were fresh. The Chile Rellenos were excellent. I was glad I choose the "smothered" option. This was a white sauce loaded with diced green chiles. The only way to improve a green chile is to top it with more green chile. Shockingly good for this little town in the middle of nowhere. Minus one star for decor. An open bible was displayed prominently in an alcove. In the adjoining room was a portrait of an open bible on a desk with the American flag.. This was essentially the only decoration in the business. I really have no need for a dose of bronze age philosophy with my breakfast. The staff was very friendly, so I choose to order my meal and not walk out in protest. I'm glad I did. Probably the best option in town (and for at least 100 miles in any direction), and the other local businesses I visited also presented exhibitions of faith. Gawd bless Texas. And the U.S.A.
