A few Weeks ago my wife went down to the basement to put something down there. Now, our basement is…read morenot an area that we visit very frequently. I keep a lot of my guitars and amplifiers and keyboards down there, on the rare occasion I feel like being musical. So it had probably been a week or two since we last visited the basement. Now, basements in Oklahoma are very rare due to a very high water table. Knowing this, A sump pump was built in to the floor in the basement underneath the stairs. We have been in the house for just over a year, and never experienced any flooding, figuring sump pump was doing what it was supposed to be doing. Well, my wife was horrifically introduced to about 10 inches of water in the basement that Sunday morning. My wife screamed to me to find somebody, Anybody, to get over here ASAP to start getting the water out of our basement. I Quickly typed into my phone water damage, Yukon Oklahoma business. Luckily, SERVPRO of Western Oklahoma city was the first business to pop up. I immediately called the number, and got a hold of Chris Edmonds, The owner. I asked if they could come out that day and look at our horrific problem. Within two hours of the call, Chris and his team knocked on our front door. Professional And masked, for protection of Covid, I invited them in. Chris and his team diligently got to work!! After a few hours of cleanup, Chris sat down with us to explain how Servpro was going to help us next. Not realizing that Servpro was a multi tasking Company, he really put my mind at ease. He explained that they not only would remove the water, they would document all of the damage to our personal belongings and furniture. He also stated that they would be responsible for the removal of all the contents in the basement, demolition of the wallboard damage, carpet pad, and carpet, even sending samples of that damage to be tested for mold. Over a series of days, Chris and his team respectfully, safely and professionally came in and did what they were going to do, and did the work with precision and accuracy, while being communicative about everything they were doing. Chris and his wonderful staff are so knowledgeable, friendly, courteous and most importantly, safe. I never thought we would've been this lucky to have hired such a great company to help us during a time of great stress and worry. Chris has even put me in touch with a contact of his that is going to help in the restoration of my guitars and amplifiers and keyboards. We are currently about to start the rebuild phase of the project. Chris has also put us in contact with a great building contractor, that will restore our basement to back to the way it was. Not only did Chris and his team put our minds at ease with their exceptional work, they go the extra mile and deal directly with our insurance company to make sure that everything is legitimate and documented.
