The pipes had already been cleaned under the sink, but it turned out there was a blockage in some old pipes in the wall. He came back the next day and opened up the wall in a bedroom behind the sink in the bathroom. He was able to clean out the pipes and replace a pipe that had been corroded and ended up breaking during the auger process. Brent and his coworker worked quickly to diagnose the problem and also cleaned up everything before leaving. I was very impressed with his work ethic and thoroughness with the job, as well as his honesty regarding what needed to be done. He gives a two hour window when he is coming to allow you to plan your day and his time for scheduling is very reasonable and not far out. Sometimes same day, or a few days later, depending on the situation. I will definitely call Brent again when I have plumbing problems that need to be fixed.

Knowing myself and my penchant for forgetting once Monday morning rolls around, I decided to drop a quick query on Yelp to see about getting someone scheduled in the near future. All four pros responded to my inquiry (well done everyone), but Tyler at Astro Plumbing happened to be in my area and had same day availability (wowza, I know). He popped by within a couple of hours, took a look at the job (a full replacement is what I expected for the best course of action), gave me a fair price and got to work. Here we are, less than five hours after dropping my initial inquiry and the job is done. Tyler was professional, explained everything, did a great job and cleaned up after himself. Now I can roll into the new week knowing I've done a bit more to help with this infernal drought by not having a leaky faucet. Here's hoping for rain soon, but in the meantime, if you need help with a plumbing issue, give Astro a call...or a Yelp message.

I trusted them and given that price, I assumed it was a major job. They gave me a lump sum bid, not itemized with labor and materials separately, and that should have tipped me off. Turns out the faucet itself was a minor cost and installation took under 20 minutes. No idea why this was a $472.00 job. Their labor charge must be $20/minute! When I inquired re. the cost, I received no response. My advice: definitely get two or more bids on any job before hiring this company and be cautious about lump sum bids.

It kept getting later and later he didn't show up. He made some excuse that he had to stop in Magna and stretch someone else's carpet. He neglected to text me and tell me he'd be running a little late. It turned out to a big fat lie. I gave him until 3:00 pm. He kept making excuses that they wanted him to do more work and again didn't notify me. It all turned out to be total lies and he's a scammer. It was too late to stop the Venmo transaction. He is really responsive until you send him money. I realized after I was too trusting and when I read other reviews here I noticed he had done the same thing two years ago. Also, he hadn't had a review on Yelp for over two years. Don't be trusting. I requested the money back through Venmo and he obviously didn't send the money back. Buyer beware this guy Miguel is a smooth snake like character. I hope I save someone else from getting ripped off from him.
