Happy that others here got satisfactory service from Joe. First, I would encourage you to look at my other Yelp reviews. For the most part, I am effusive with praise when deserved. I am in the service business to consumers. Also, it takes a lot for me to write a negative review. Joe left me no choice. Joe dropped the ball. And he knew it, and he wouldn't take responsibility for it. He mis-sized a pair of speakers in one of the rooms after charging me $150 for a pre-site visit to determine needs. He cut into a wall without advising me of the issue prior, leaving a gap which I am now required to repair with a handyman. His worker was standing on my furniture with street-shoes. They refused to take away the old speakers and equipment. Can you imagine having any other type of work around the house and having the contractor leave all the debris for you to deal with? Handprints were left around where the speakers were replaced on the walls. His worker dumped cut drywall into the bathroom vanity trash, with all its remnants and dust all around. Seemed like they were in a big hurry. Dust everywhere, not covering furniture and other things. I paid him $2,400 for speakers and labor. While the job was done, the collateral damage and his dismissiveness regarding the issues is completely unacceptable. When questioned, he was dismissive and said "he was not a home remediation company - sorry for the misunderstanding." Well, having represented the one of largest demolition contractors in the country for several years, I pretty much know the difference. At first, he did ask how he could make it right, and I told him probably nothing, just learn from it. That was before I discovered the extent of the issues. Joe, do yourself a favor, you are extremely knowledgeable but your customer skills need some work. To readers of this review. Shop around. Joe charged me a premium which I was willing to pay - he got me to my destination, but left me in the last row of the plane for a first-class ticket price, to clean up the mess. Later that night, I requested from Joe $150 chargeback on Venmo for full resolution and overcharging for the service I actually got. Not a peep - now ignoring me. I waited 2 days for a response. If you're looking for a problem-free experience installing your TV or home network I highly recommend you press the back button and go with another installer. I hired Joe to mount two large TVs and to fix a hardwire ethernet line and there were issues with all three of these jobs. I really regret paying him before confirming everything was working, so that part is my bad, but I've never dealt with someone so blatantly unconcerned about ripping off his customers till this experience. Live and learn, I guess. Joe will say that he stands by his work, but what this means to him is to refuse his mistakes and criticize his customers' basic expectations for things to be in working order. After he left I texted him that my ethernet line still wasn't working and he wanted to charge me more money to come back and look at it. I hired someone else to come instead and they laughed at how obvious it is this guy doesn't know what he's doing. The ethernet termination ends were wired completely wrong and the guy was able to fix it for $150. I texted Joe that I would like a $150 refund and he responded: "When we toned it out it showed all 8 runs were working correctly. I stand by our work and the time it took to go into your attic to pull and run cables. I don't know what you or someone else did after we left and I'm certainly not refunding you for that work." The thing is that toning a line does not confirm it can send a signal. But Joe is stubborn and quick to insinuate his customer is lying rather than acknowledge his mistake and apologize. But there were so many other mistakes too: - The living room TV I asked to be mounted to about 43" on the wall, at the height of the speaker towers, but the TV ended up at 47.5", 4.5" too high which looked really off. He said he would remount this free of charge but instead up-charged me $60 for in-wall cabling and $75 for AV receiver wiring that time, both of which were already set up. Really not cool and I regret allowing this extra charge. - On the 2nd attempt mounting the living room TV, it was was slanted 2" which was later fixed on a 3rd visit by his partner. - My attic access door was left open with the light on. His partner came back a 3rd time and had to borrow my neighbors ladder to fix this. - The living room TV is now at 45" and I will need to hire someone else to get it 2" lower. - The bedroom TV sound bar HDMI was not plugged into the ARC port so the sound was not working correctly. He fixed this free of charge on the 2nd visit. - For the internet cable runs he installed female CAT6 plugs where there should have been male plugs going into the router. Then he charged me for the CAT6 jumper cables to fix that. So if you're reading this shopping for someone to mount your TV... congratulations on doing more research than I did. You'll avoid a headache for yourself by not using 1 Stop AV. read more

Joe and his assistant installed my TV. He is professional and a nice guy. His assistant was also a nice guy. My wife hired him and communicated with him. He advertised $125 for installation and $150 for bigger TVs. He did a nice job mounting the TV. However, the total price was $480. VERY EXPENSIVE. He was in my home for about an hour and 15 minutes. I was surprised by the $480 price and if I knew it would be this much going Into it I would have shopped for another company. Hind sight is 20/20. On google, it says the average amount to mount a TV in Orange County is $120 to $225. Joe was over 200% more than the highest average. Joe charges $45 for one 12 ft long cords which I am sure cost him $5. He charged me for 3 of these chords. One to connect my Apple TV, one to connect the DVD and one to connect a speaker bar we have. That's $135 for three chords. He said the large TV required 2 mounting devices. He charged $75 each for mounting devices but he agreed to give me the second one at a discount of $60. So one for $75 and the second for $60 which is $135. In total, $150 to mount the TV plus $135 for three chords (3 x $45), plus $60 for installing cables in the wall, plus $135 for the two mounting stands. This equals $480. Joe did the job but didn't expect all the extra fees for chords. A lot of add on fees I didn't expect. Joe asks if you have your own 12 feet chords to use or he will sell them to you for $45 each when he is with you. He never said he would need this prior to installation. Once again, a nice guy but VERY EXPENSIVE! I agree with Joe's comments. I am bumping up the stars. As I wrote he is a nice guy and he did the job. I agree that small business need support. He did tell me the price of the chords while being at my home. However by that time, it is too late. I feel the price he charges for the 12 ft chords are very expensive at $45 a chord. I get it - that's how Joe makes extra money by charging more for the mounts and the chords. If you don't mind spending close to $500 for an installation, I highly recommend Joe. I was expecting it to be $200 to $250 not close to $500. My issue was the cost not the quality of the service. Thanks. read more
