Had a coupon for $16.95 plus $8.25 Cert. fee. Gave him the coupon before test, he took it and put the car in the bay. AFTER he hooked up the car told me additional fees: $20.00 "directed" fee (star required test) and $5.25 transfer fee; bottom line $54 out the door. Didn't pass, he offered free retest. Came back and wanted to charge me $14.00 for Certificate and transfer fee. Told him I'd already paid that, so then said "okay, then it's free retest." Didn't pass again, did not offer to reimburse Cert. and transfer fee. If you go there make sure you have quoted, written price before the car goes in! read more

Went here on the basis of all the great Yelp reviews. Arrived with no appointment around 11 am. Was approached by Numon, who was very friendly, and told me there were a couple of cars ahead of me, and that he could have me out of there in a half hour. I ran a couple of quick errands and made a call, and before I knew it, my car had passed without issue, in 30 minutes as promised. Numon told me the charge for my pickup was over $100, but when I mentioned the Yelp deal, he cut it in half. Even gave me a coupon for half off next time. Very professional, friendly and clean. I've been here 2 times with an appointment. One time the technician was 15 minutes late and the next time he was there but I had to wait 20 minutes. I also called on a Sunday and they said they were closed despite their ads and coupons saying they are open. Smog check took 1.5 hours. The owner was extraordinarily condescending, rude, mean, etc to his presumably brand new (or completely incompetent) employee. The combination of the micromanagement, incompetence, and complete disregard for my time led to 1.5 hours of torture. He ended up failing the car for among other things an issue that was self evident and should have been pointed out as soon as he started testing. This way I could have paid him and been on my way to fix the issue right away. read more

I had a great experience today with this smog service! Bill was very friendly on the phone and in person. I made an appointment and he called to make sure I was still coming. I was shopping around for good deals and I didn't find an affordable price for smog like this place. Everywhere else charged in the upwards of 49.95!! They had an advertisement online for 24.95 but with the certification it came out to be 34 something. Best deal in town and it only took 15 minutes! Will definitely be back in the future! read more

I called this place awhile back to ask if they smog vehicles year 2000 and older since many places i have gone to do not do so anymore. Answer is YES THEY DO! Awesome! Finally I find a place to smog my 88' truck! I got there and the service was decent. I waited for them to finish, while i sat in their small outdated waiting room. They could probably update it. They did offer water while you waited though. As the truck was being smogged, i noticed that one of the gentlemen were smoking a vape pen (kinda unprofessional in my opinion). But whatever, I was getting a good deal on the smog thanks to the yelp deal! When the smog was finally finished the gentleman began ringing me up. I told him about the yelp and the deal and his attitude completely changed, suddenly he was the kindest man on earth lol! As a general rule, any action I have to take that is mandated by a DMV will be opaque, time-consuming, and frustrating. So I walked into Numan's shop with some hesitation. I left, however, with a smile on my face (and not just because my car passed). Numan devoted a lot of attention to customer care, making sure I knew the procedure, keeping me updated on wait time, making sure I got a good deal, etc. It is an otherwise no-frills experience, but those simple small kindnesses made it feel a lot less like drudgery. This is the second time that I have used this place and have been very happy each time. When my truck I failed the visual inspection, Bill, the technician, spent the time with me to make sure that I knew exactly what needed to be done. He knew that it was something that I could do myself, and his advice saved me a bunch of money since I didn't have to take the truck to a repair shop and pay a lot just to replace some cracked vacuum lines.
