Got Junk made my life so much easier! I had used them before, many years ago & they were great. I booked my appointment online & found lots & lots of availability. Appointments are made within a two hour window. Prior to my booking I called just to try & get a guess on how much the service would cost. I was given a rough idea but it depends on how much of the truck you fill up. There is an extra cost for recycling items such as TVs & computer monitors. One of the things I like about Got Junk is that they just don't throw everything away. Back at warehouse they go thru all your junk & either trash it or donate it. I was told they have someone that refurbishes items as well. Tip: before booking look for coupons, I found one for $50 off! About an hour before my scheduled appointment window, I received a text informing me of their ETA. Once there I showed my team of two, everything that needed to be hauled away. Got Junk really takes almost everything! I had furniture, boxes, trash, clothes etc etc. They even take freezer/frig items too. I was given a price range of cost before they began. The final cost was right in the range. The guys (shout out to Shawn & Ryley ) were friendly & removed everything very quickly - great customer service. Company used to be reputable - now not so much I used this service two prior time and was happy with the results. My most recent encounter was an utter diappointment. Seems thier new corporate owners tactic are to squeze you for every dollar they can. So 2 years ago I had them out to remove a large amount of old computers and electronics. These they legitimately carge a disposal fee for. I filled up about 1/2 a truck and 45 minutes of load time for about $300. I recently had a couch and table removed. Simple job, nothing that was unusual. They start by 'explaining' their pricing which now stats at $400. They also will help you' with cleanup tasks like vacuuming but at $150 an hour for meanial tasks. So one couch and table later suddenly I am at the MAXIMUM they charge $800 for two items. Was the crew polite yea but there is now way I should have been charged that. My fault for being so shell shocked that I handed over my card and paid it. Dont get scammed like I did get a price in advance and tell them you wont pay a dollar more that that so they cant inflate you bill with other add ons. I will never use these guys again. There are other copycats out there that will do the same for a lot less. Personally I wish I just rented an HD trick and paid my neighbors kids $50 a piece to move things. read more

Tanner, Max & Jordan came to clean up the mess of junk. pallets, shopping carts, furniture and trash left behind by trespassing campers in our parking lot. These men were very diligent in cleaning up the parking lot and surrounding landscape area. David and Steve did a great job in cleaning up my pile. Was as simple as the commercial. I pointed to my stuff and it was loaded in the truck in under 10 minutes. They were on time (actually a little bit early which I didn't mind), very courteous, and explained everything to me every step of the way. Cleaned out the garage after 2 years so we could park my car in it. Lots of stuff from the basement after flooding and moved to the garage for the remodel. Called our garbage people and they upped the pricing this year. I scheduled through them and was shocked at the price, but went ahead and scheduled which would be 2 weeks. We live in a townhouse and I would have to do more work and move my car out to the street again. These guys, 1-800-Got Junk showed up in less than hour and took every! Should be called 1 800 Rip off ! A couple of months ago I had them come out and pick Up a large living room cabinet, the guys that came out were fast, efficient and respectful. I was charged $150.00 wich I was ok with give the massive size of the cabinet, awhile later I was wanting them to come out and remove a small sleeper sofa and recliner, as usual I was told that they can not give me an estimate until they come out and see what I have. Two young guys came to my house one already with an attitude, I showed them the sofa and recliner and the kid with the attitude told me that it would be somewhere between $300.00 and $500.00 I tried to explain to him that no to long ago i had a removal that was at the same size if not a little larger, this guy did not want to hear anything about it and started giving me even more of an attitude, after I got upset with them for trying to gauge me I called the office to complain. The the gentleman on the phone took down my complaint and said that I would hear from someone in the next few days. About 20 minutes later a Generalmanager called me with what I can tell was another attitude and told me that my items were bigger than what I had removed last time and that it would cost $300.00 !!! After I hung up I called Rockies Cleanouts the gentleman on the phone said that it would cost $100.00 to remove the items. 45 minutes later they came and picked up the furniture, they were friendly and professional and I even gave them a tip since I saved $200.00 !!! read more

Just had the most positive experience using this service for full apt clean out that took 3 days of work. Kyle and Joseph were just amazing despite the challenge. This took place in a busy apt complex and if others needed to use the elevator they were quick to allow this even when it meant long days for them . This was 2nd encounter with this location and very fair rates for service requested and hard working teams. Highly recommend using them for junk removal . I have never seen two more hard working get it done guys before when hiring services. They were prompt, very polite and did a great job! They did two truckloads of junk for me and believe me it was worth every penny! Reasonably priced and it saved me so much work as everything came out of a basement. They promised they would be at my house during a two hour window, they did not show. They said they could arrive 40 min past the window but could only give me an estimate which was contrary to what they said when I booked an appointment. When I called their call center number and told them the situation, they asked and I quote "so what do you want?". So, they don't show up on time, they don't provide the service they promise, and they have incredibly bad customer service. I'm rebooking with a local company. read more

Horrible. They quoted us a price of $139 on the phone then when the guys got there they said it would be $289 + tax for a couch and a love seat. I would have just canceled, but we had just sold the house and had no choice. Then the guys had the nerve to ask for tips, which my wife gave them. Will not use them again. read more

You know those people.... cares about our planet, supports local business, yeah- I'm one of them. I prefer to upcycle, but I'm ok with recycling too. Anything to avoid adding more to our landfills. I don't drive, pollution reasons, so it's difficult to take my recyclables to our local spot. There's this guy with an old beat up pick up truck and a squeaky trailer down the street who hauls junk away for you. I gave him a call and unsolicited, he explained to me how he gets rid of the junk; recycling materials, restoring furniture, etc. He does all he can to avoid the landfill, but he makes a run once or twice a week. Sounds great!! Because I was impressed with his answers, I asked him for another week or so I could do some spring cleaning and rid my house of the things I didn't need. He estimated my cost around $150-$200. Great! I began purging the house. I stacked things in orderly piles against the wall in the basement; recyclables, furniture, and old junk. My parents, whom I share the house with, saw what I was doing and did the same. The amount of junk doubled, I called my guy and let him know, his estimate was now $250-$400. We agreed to split the cost but they believed $400 was too much. They began searching the internet and found got junk. I didn't want to use you, but they showed me on the website where it says, you recycle when you can. Then, they offered to pay for all of it, so what could I do? They made an appointment and they came. I showed them specifically what needed to be taken, it was easy, everything along this wall. While gathering our junk, I ran across a few things I wanted to save and threw it all in some other boxes and stacked them out of the way.. They began to move it all out. I couldn't believe the noise it made when they were throwing it in the truck. They had taken the furniture out first and literally threw it into the truck so it was destroyed, no chance for any of that. They had no consideration for what I divided out as recyclable, they just tossed it all in. I went outside to say something about the recyclables, but at that point, they were tossing the boxes of junk in. After pilfering them of what THEY would like to keep. They'd throw them and the boxes would literally explode upon impact. That's when I noticed that they had taken the boxes of stuff I wanted to save. I climbed into the back of the truck and tried to recover my keepsakes but for the most part it was all destroyed. When they came back out, I said, why did you take these? You said, all the boxes. Yeah, along the wall, not everything in the basement. They literally went to the other side of the basement and removed boxes that were nowhere near the wall. I expressed my displeasure to my father as he walked outside to pay, coupon in hand. He came inside after paying, sighed heavily and said at least it's all gone. Yeah, including all that stuff we were keeping, I said. He said, ya know, I think they're going to recycle any of those things, I think they're gonna haul it all to the dump. I crossed my arms, I'm sure my face was turning red, I glared out the window trying to calm myself. My mom asked him how much they charged. His answer: $600. Smoke started billowing out my ears from anger. What an expensive scam, lie, disappointment you guys turned out to be. I am extremely unhappy and will NEVER use you again. read more

There had been a misunderstanding about the price I'd pay for the service they'd provide. When I expressed that, they honored my version-- which means, the principle that "the customer is always right" is still alive and well.
