They were over an hour late and were extremely rude. Wheb they got here they gave me a quote of over $500 to remove a couch, love seat and chair. I told them that was way too high. That's when they tried to negotiate for me to pay less. I believe that since they knew I had new furniture being delivered that they could charge high and I wouldn't have. choice. When I said I would move the furniture from the house to the garage by myself even with my bad back, they offered to move it for me if I paid them $100 under the table. I was amazed. Like some of the other reviewers have mentioned.... What they promise and what they do are 2 separate things... I was in the process of moving out of my house and had a bunch of items that were to be donated to charity.. dresser, filing cabinet, wine cooler, and others... To start the experience, they show up with a truck that is basically 3/4 full and quite me the starting process and how it goes up from there based on the truck usage, they said it would be between 1/2 to 3/4 of a truck... which seemed off and I didn't think I had that much stuff. They told me that they were going to dump their load and come back, should only be a couple of mins.... 2 hours later they show up and proceed to load the truck.. but all they did was throw everything over the edge of the truck, or from the balcony into a pile in the truck. Everything was destroyed, nothing was saved for donation purposes... they threw glass bottles and other glass items over the balcony, next day there was broken glass all over the drive way along with other scraps. By the time they were done, they stated it was a full truck and wanted to charge me the max price. But from looking into the truck from the balcony, it was clearly only half full. It only looked full because everything was thrown into a pile in the middle of the truck, and not stacked neatly. This is clearly deceitful practice to charge people based on someone's guess and not on actual use. I wonder if the employees get paid by commission, hence why they always try to charge as much as possible... In the end, something that should have costed around $300 ended up costing me over $700. Definitely a ripoff. They did not stack the Charity items in the truck, tried to scam me by charging full price, and did not cleanup afterwards. Could have saved myself a lot of money and dropped off the items at a local charity and left the trash on the curb. read more

Prices are based on an "estimate" but it's a flat rate price. I only needed a box spring removed and they asked for $189 dollars. Earlier that day on the phone, I was told the service should cost $25 dollars, this is why I continued with the appointment. I told the team that there's been a misunderstanding and they did nothing. I reached out to management which lead to a phone call from Keith Nelson. He said there's nothing they can do about the miscommunication. He was not understanding to my situation. Horrible service. I set an appointment to get my junk removed. I was supposed to have a window of 2pm-4pm. Received an email that stated I was supposed to get a call 15 mins before my time slot - no call. I called and the agent called the team, they stated they were running late and apologized but stated someone would call me in 10 mins. No call. I called back again, was guaranteed they would be at my place by 3:30. No call, no show. Called a 3rd time, very angry and demanded an eta and a discount. Finally got a call from the driver saying it would be 30 mins AFTER my selected time window. I am waiting and hoping they come. We needed two sofas removed. A few days ago, I called and spoke to a representative who explained the process. I scheduled for someone to come give an estimate and service. I was scheduled for a 2-hour window. Someone called the morning of my visit to verify my service. The service crew called to let me know they were on their way. Timothy Davis and Devan Owens arrived at my home and were prompt, polite, and respectful. They took extra care to ensure nothing in my home was damaged during the removal process. They made sure we were pleased with the service. Although you don't know the price before the visit I was given a price range when I scheduled so I wasn't unaware of the potential cost. We agreed to be pay and were ready but they stated their truck was 1/2 full and they would return in the morning between 9-10am. At 10 we began to call and call and they kept stating they were coming. They showed up about 2pm and stated we were quoted incorrectly and it would be $1800 and require 3 trucks. This company uses false advertising to get your business, according to their website they donate your items to charities, that it absolutely NOT TRUE they throw it in the truck, regardless of whether it's dishes or not, I took time to pack all my glass so that it wouldn't get broken, and the guy threw it in the truck and stomped on it to make room, I told him it was glass and he said it was all going in the trash anyway I was not ok with that, I told him the advertisement said it was donated and he said no, maybe some of the cloths, so I made them take it off the truck, he kept the plastic stuff and clothes, which I'm pretty sure will end up in the dump, I had a box of books that they threw in the truck as well and we could get them all, whatever you do, unless your stuff is actually trash, DO NOT use this service. Due to our business, we have to work with multiple junk removing companies throughout the States and this has been by far the worst experience ever. Such disorganization and miscommunication through out the members of the company. We were originally quoted a range between $190- $319 for removal in Houston, TX of one bedroom that included 1 bed and a hoarders mess (papers/ boxes/ random items) we even offered to provide a picture of the room. We confirmed an appointment for removal based on the pricing, which was very reasonable, and when it came to the scheduled appointment, not only were they 2 hours late (with no explaination, reason nor courtesy call to let us know) they hiked up the price above the quoted amount by $200! We told the junk removal individual that the price was not given at $500+ and he responded with a rude "I didn't quote it, the office quoted you and they aren't here, I am." Extremely unprofessional and rude with no intention of trying to figure out what happened. UNACCEPTABLE, THEY WERE SENT AWAY IMMEDIATELY THEREAFTER. We refuse to work with such nonsense. This company doesn't care to keep their word with the pricing, timing, and they blame everyone else that you've previously spoken to if the information doesn't match what they are telling you with no consideration of even trying to figure out how to correct their mistake or help the client out for any misunderstanding/ miscommunication especially when it regards fees and costs. I was really disappointed with this service. In their video it says they donate as much as possible to places like Salvation Army and Goodwill. They also show their staff loading the truck in a very clean and compact method. This was a selling point for me as I really DID want my unwanted, good items passed on to donation centers. If this is important to you, DO NOT hire this service. I naively took time to pack boxes so things had a chance to survive the trip. They got here and wheeled a small dumpster to my building, then HURLED all the boxes over the banister crashing down into their dumpster. I was beside myself and felt foolish for believing their website. On top of it, they got side tracked with some lady who stopped to ask them questions and the dumpster divers in the complex attacked that little dumpster like rats on cheese! All the boxes redumped onto the ground and rummaged through. I WAS EMBARRASSED! They finally got the dumpster and wheeled what was left and hurled the remaining items into the back of their truck. By now it wasn't even an 8th of a truck. They tried to charge me for 3 8ths of a truckload. After haggling over the price they came down a little, but not nearly enough. I still parted with 350. They even charged me an extra 25 to take a TV...why? No real reason. I never saw anything about the "surcharges" when reviewing their website. A man contacted me after I filled out the survey, sounded apologetic and seemed to sympathize with the experience, but that was a load of junk too because I never receive any credit. I should've been charged for 1/8 of a truckload. Disgusting experience all the way around. Hire some college student to do the job. They need the money and hopefully your donations make it to the proper places. 1800GotJinked should NOT claim they donate... nothing but a spare tire would survive the haul off. Zero stars! We made an appt for about 5:30 to remove a sectional from our living room. They called me at 7 to tell me they wouldn't be able to make it that day. I told them we needed them to come because we had furniture being delivered the next morning. The "manager" text me back saying he would find a way to be there within the hour. Text me an hour later they can't make it. Said I would be first on the schedule the next morning at 8. He text me at 8:30 the next morning to tell me they are running behind but are gasing up. He will be there at 10. My new furniture is suppose to be there at 11. They get here to quote me $800 to remove a sectional saying it takes up most of their truck. My husband went out there to look after we agreed and they started loading it. It was because the truck already had stuff in it from another stop they made. We had no where else to put the sectional and no time to call anyone so felt we had to agree to this price. They screwed us BIG time. On top of it the movers played around most of the time, joking and taking their sweet time. One mover was super tall and strong and the other was short and skinny and could barely lift one side of the sectional. Btw the sectional came apart into pieces. The online booking system was easy to use and even when using the chat feature to ask a question I received a quick response (under one minute) from a real person. The truck team was very friendly, incredibly professional, arrived on time, and communicated well both in advance and during the visit. We only had a trampoline to remove but the team lead tried to maximize our cost by asking if there was anything else they could take, since the fee is based on the size of the truck load. I needed fast, reliable junk removal for my patio home backyard and received a same-day appointment towards the evening and Jeremiah Foster & Joshua Cranford were my team members. They greeted me politely and had a customer-centered approach to their visit. I pointed out the junk I needed removed that was rather spread out in different areas. They had a chart of incremental price estimates on a clipboard (by volume, not weight) including the EPA for an electronic device I needed to remove. After approving the estimate range, they quickly placed the junk in their truck and agreed it was 1/2 truck. The estimate turned out to be what I expected to pay and no damage was done to my property I will always request them as my team and they gave me a coupon for my next removal. I am so happy about this service. I agree with others that junk removal can be pricey but their fees were reasonable, they are insured and bonded, same day appointments, and I did not have to do the work in the heat.
