I saw all of the good reviews and had high hopes for Junk King. I scheduled a time for an estimate and got confirmation texts and emails. However, no one ever called or showed up. We tried to give Junk King a chance to explain themselves and make things right. They didn't know what happened or why we were stood up, but they apologized and scheduled us for another estimate today. Again, no one called or showed up :( so we got stood up twice - Lexi B. Update: the next day I finally got a call from Junk King and the guy (Ryan?) was not very sorry and pretty rude. He said he was busy. He started acting disparaging when we said we decided to work with someone else. Even though we are still figuring out who we will work with, we know it won't be Junk King. read more

I just had some junk hauled away that's been sitting in my garage forever. It was easy to make an online appointment, they sent text reminders and they called when they were on their way. They usually don't give a quote until arrival and there's no pressure to have your stuff hauled away either. But FYI they base on how many pick ups it would take...and for me it was one full pickup. And the price was significantly reasonable!! Jeffrey Snider and his young associate were 100% professional, courteous and their personalities were just awesome! Many businesses either lack delivery of performance or customer service. I'm here to tell you that Junk King North excels on both. I texted employee, Candy, a photo of my hot tub to be removed and within 3 minutes, I received a response to set up an appointment for a free quote. I received a text and call the night prior to confirm my appointment. Mike arrived earlier than our scheduled appointment (first calling to make sure it would be alright with me to show up soon, which was very considerate and actually worked out better for my schedule). He took a look at my hot tub and gave me a quote that I was comfortable with. I was told that big jobs such as hot tub removals will often require them to return another day to start the process. However within an hour or so, their General Manager, Jeff, along with 2 other gentlemen promptly showed up to begin the job. Each and every individual whom I encountered was polite and accommodating. I was especially impressed by Jeff's punctuality, interpersonal skills, and professionalism. Moreover, finishing the removal quickly (within 2 hours or so) and cleaning up the site wonderfully. They also took care of these old worn flower pots I no longer wanted, without fuss. I had one of the best experiences when it comes to services related to my home. I have no doubt that I would consider using Junk King North again in the future, as well as referring them to my family and friends. read more

I found them on Yelp today and asked for an estimate. They texted within 5 mins. Asked a few questions and offered to show up the next day, provide an estimate and if we we're good with it, they'd get it done right then and there. We scheduled but later learned the buyer of the home was ok leaving it all there. So, we called and cancelled. No problem. Very professional and courteous. Do not use this service. I booked an appointment for a pick up between 2pm and 4pm today which was confirmed. At 330pm, I received a call claiming they had a big job to do and they had a truck break down and thus they could not do the pickup today. They offered a $20 discount which was the discount already offered if the job was booked online. There are many other mattress disposal services in Houston that will do the job for $60-$80. The only reason why I was willing to pay more was because they claimed they could do the job today. Misleading and false advertising. read more

Efficient and excellent service--Trey and Javis were available 2 hrs before than my appointment time and coordinated with us to drop by early. They were super fast, loading nearly a full truck with old furniture and miscellaneous items in just over 30 min. Also, the online estimator was spot on. I entered the items I needed picked up and the estimate shown matched the final estimate by the team the next day. There was a problem with their handheld credit card machine and I needed to make payment via phone. But what surprised me was the quality of work they did. After removing the stuff, a lot of it pretty smelly due to the animals, Jeff and his crew swept the garage out and sent me pictures of it. Phenomenal company. I talked with the owner to set up my pick up. He called me right after I requested a quote online, as in an hour, not days. The price was super reasonable. The pick up crew called me the night before to confirm. They called again an hour before scheduled pick up and gave me a precise arrival time.
