I would never ever use Manny ever again, nor recommend him to anyone. He came to my parents' house and was polite, had good manners, said he could do everything we requested, including removal of plants, demolition and removal of an outdoor decorative wall and sculpture, and all junk items. The job was to take 4 days. He wasn't the cheapest quote I received but he seemed earnest so I gave him the job. When he showed up with his trailer the next day, it had no side wall, so items put on the trailer bed needed to be wrapped up like the sleds from the Iditarod dog races; it couldn't carry as much as a normal landscaper's flat bed trailer with some sidewalls. That's the 1st red flag. As for his helpers, they were 2 middle aged ladies, so there's not a lot of weight they could carry nor was the group very durable. That's the 2nd red flag. Manny and his 'team' worked maybe 2-4 hours per day, saying, "the trailer is full and we will come back tomorrow." 4 days led to 5, then 5 led to 2 weeks, then 3 weeks, and finally, he ghosted me in week 3 after repeated promises of 'coming tomorrow' to finish the job. I told him at the outset that his job needed to be completed ASAP so the next phase of the house rehab could begin. And even after I hired and paid extra for someone else to do some light demolition that was supposed to be part of his scope of work, he still ghosted me. In the end, we made the mistake of paying him 80% of the job too early. He did 50-60% of the work and disappeared. Thankfully, I found a more professional crew to finish the job, but my initial trust in Manny Junk Remover cost me 2 extra weeks of delay and more money to hire a 2nd crew to finish all the broken promises from Manny. Never again will I have anything to do with this guy. read more
